Weeding Out Compaction with CTIS
Every pass across a field counts when you’re trying to stop soil compaction from squashing your yields. That’s why Minnesota farmer Luke Engen depends on CTIS to lighten the impact of his John Deere 412R. With fast inflation and deflation times, and the ability to easily uncouple the system to switch to floaters for pre-emerge passes in the spring, Engen’s PTG central tire inflation system makes it easy to go easy on his soil.

What
It's all about horse power and traction. The age of the machine doesn't matter
Not lacking horsepower but not having enough hydraulic capacity, that's the reason most tractors get traded away. Traction can be handled with tires and ballast.
Late to the show here but what was the pressure he was running? When I researched these tires I wasn’t exactly impressed with how low you could go in tire pressure vs say Michelin VF’s
Does the machine auto inflate/ deflate ? Or are you running around with a compressor before road work..? It'd take a good while to inflate or deflate 33 psi on that size tyre
aliance rubber are garbage.changed brand 2 years back, and now we dont have to change wheels every year.
what about the weights?
I have no idea what these people are talking about
Let me guess. Your from the city

That’s half the work when go to check tire pressure.
Can you let the pressure lower when the planter is working than when it’s turning on the headland when it’s lifted?
@Ntstiresupply This is a good unbiased video! HOWEVER, I think for a fair test you need an identical tractor and planter setup. The only difference then being the tires.
The lower sidewall is rather a disadvantage than an advantage. The advantage is rather the larger width!
Hi, I was watching videos on CZcams when I saw your channel. I really like your video content. But as a CZcams expert, I noticed one thing: your video views are getting fewer and fewer. Later I researched your channel and I saw your video SEO score is (0%). Your video and found that SEO optimization is not done in your videos due to which your videos are not going to your targeted people, your videos are getting less views and channel subscribers are getting less. I can say as a CZcams expert if you can do channel and video SEO-friendly things like tag, hashtag, description, and keyword research then your CZcams channel and video will grow fast. I think your CZcams channel will make your dream come true. Thank you,"
This company makes no sense to me. As I understand it, this technology has been around for several years now; I've seen it in person at shows before, and yet I see nothing coming to the market in North America. This technology has got to be one of the greatest leaps in the agricultural market, and I feel like there is enormous potential, but again, there's nothing to show for it. Unless I've just completely missed it somewhere, I can't seem to find much info about these anymore. If they could make these tires for trailing applications (grain carts and manure tanks especially), I believe they could absolutely dominate the market in a very short amount of time. Seems to be a strange marketing strategy for a product that looks to be very promising.
We had hoped to see this develop much faster, too. We don't know what's caused all of the delays. They're seemingly limited resources are split with the European market so the first tractor tire sizes they released are quite uncommon in the U.S.

I can tell you right now that man didn't come from a John Deere dealer
Here in Germany you hardly see a high end wheeled tractor without a CTIS. Since we are very limited in the dimensions that our farm equipment can have to still be able to travel on public roads, we really have to innovate to get the most tire footprint without crossing over the size limits.
The single line statement is nit true. Get your facts right b4 u make a statement. 4:31
Could you clarify which part isn't accurate? If we did mix something up, we definitely want to know. Thanks!
@NTS Tire Supply The fact that you said that this system does not let the tires go flat and the other ones out there have no way to isolate the tires is false, on both ends. I have physically seen the tires flat on this syatem, and the other systems out there have isolation valves incorperated into the system to HELP from going flat. So yes, there is a way to protect the tires from going flat on the other systems. Truth is the best selling point. You should do some research before commenting. Thanks
@@donavanhaaland751 Perhaps we can help elaborate on the differences between PTG's 2-line system versus a single-line system. Typically, this is how each system responds to an air leak: - PTG 2-line system: Nothing happens to the tire because the wheel valve is closed. (This is because the system is only pressurized-i.e. the wheel valves are open-when actively inflating or deflating tires). - Single-line system: The operator must turn off a valve at the wheel (if equipped) before the tire looses all of it's air. Preventing a flat tire if a single-line system develops a leak requires someone to physically intervene before all of the air is lost. PTG does not require an intervention. That said, everyone must acknowledge that no system is perfect. A PTG system could still have a flat tire for a couple of reasons: (1) The tire itself develops a leak (bead leak, valve stem leak, puncture, etc.). All of these causes being independent of the tire inflation system. (2) Or, the wheel valve itself gets damaged, ripped off, or is installed incorrectly and leaks around the threads. If you have other concerns, please reach out to us at sales@ntstiresupply.com or call 1-800-854-4554 and ask to speak with a CTIS specialist. We'd be happy to talk more!
@NTS Tire Supply Your comments are still incorrect about the single line system, you do not have to physically shut off each valve to prevent the tires from going flat. The isolation valves shut off at a set pressure to prevent that from happening. Must be something you are unaware of. They have been out for 10plus years. Thanks

This video was a lesson for me: "how not to start a presentation". He started by showing the company's weaknesses and I think that immediately disappoints the listeners.
Eyota mn?
Do these tires lower the load capacity?
What’s the difference between LSW tyres and VF tyres?
LSW tires are technically VF tires. LSW stands for "Low Sidewall" which means the sidewall height of the tire is shorter than a typical tire. LSWs are unique to Goodyear. VF stands for "very increased flexion" which means the tire can carry 40% more load than a standard radial tire or carry the same load as a standard radial tire at 40% less pressure.
When it’s all said & done, it’s putting seed in the right place, at the right rate, $$$$&
Maybe they can also buy a piece of exhaust pipe
Is there any NTS in the UK?
18.4r38 at 14psi, drill has IF 380 tires at 38psi
Bought two, had to sell a kidney to pay for em. The 12.5 15 bias are completely junk build quality anymore. So with steel in these, hopefully they last. And the huge footprint will be a good thing as well.
Money…

I'd like to have them on my 2022 John Deere 3046-R cab tractor.!!! They would see them in parades.!!! Come on TITAN.!!! 😀
Really nice
Only $14,000 a piece 😂
I want LSW for my John Deere 3046-R with cab.!!! 😁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
👍👏🙋♂️🌈💚
So was 1 tyre 28.000 dollars or four tyres that price?
It was $28,000 for the 2 rear tires!
Super máquina! sensacional.
There is a great need of such powerful tractors in Pakistan. Because Pakistan is an agricultural country 🇵🇰
Which would you choose for planting? VF tires + a central tire inflation system or tracks?
Looks like a good system.
Hopefully the fields that are wet will not mess up that new air system that you are installing on that tractor...
It's in wet conditions where these systems really shine. The larger footprint with the lower tire pressure makes a huge difference for flotation and traction. Aside from completely burying a piece of equipment in mud, the system will hold up without a problem.
😍👏🏼💪🏼
the cost respect a traditional tire?
Since we're still waiting for a lot of key sizes to release, we don't know exactly where the costs will align. Right now, we anticipate them to be competitive with leading VF tires.
That 942 and a 1050 are my dream pair especially with the 942 and a adequate size loader to match I could just about take over Edisto Island in Charleston/Colleton County and the rest of Charleston County with a couple more spots in Walterboro and Cottageville. If you don't know these are all in South Carolina and me along with just about everyone else that runs larger farms have always used John Deere. It's what I was raised on so I will always have a few Deere's. I have a 1958 Deere 620, 1972 Deere 1020, my little tow rig is a 2003 790 with the 419 loader and I run a large set of disks with a 1996 Zetor 6340.
How many horsepower does it take to turn those wider tires? Also did you have to add a bunch of weights to keep the front end down? I pull my Kenzie 12/23 with a John Deere 8130. 225 hp. Do I have enough horsepower to pull the planter and the tires?
Horsepower wouldn't be an issue. A larger footprint reduces rolling resistance in the field so if anything, it would take less power. That said, an 8130 is on the small end to put 1100 LSWs on, and you may run into clearance issues as it gets pretty tight. An LSW900/50R46 and LSW750/60R30 might be a better option for you.
