LOL😂 love him
Peter and his siblings read books... and that is why he is quick, witty, and fun.
@Danielle Cantone why not?

There’s something about this man that just oozes sexy! His charm, wit, intelligence and humour, not to mention his voice which is dreamy. Plus he’s super handsome too.... He’s got a lucky wife ❤️

True agree
Peter has such classic good looks - the strong jaw, the bushy hair, the soulful eyes. I’ve been a fan since Station Agent. He certainly is the star of GOT.
@@nefarious67 True, the one thing that was wrong with his rendition of Tyrion was, that he was supposed to be pretty ugly according to the books and Peter Dinklage is actually quite good looking. He was stellar though, would not trade.

Peter Dinklage is an absolute legend!!
I've seen him act for 8+ years and every time, he has upped his game and just been consistently superb in his roles.

Couldn't imagine GOT without Peter Dinklage. His acting always makes it that more interesting. Casting couldn't have done it better with any of the characters.
Don t imagine GOT without Peter,he is the BEST 🌹🌹
Ya I won’t talk shit but he really makes some other main cast members look bad
He's so handsome. I'm used to seeing him in the GOT get up, he looks so good in these street clothes. I'm a little shook.
He's aged like fine wine, he looked more plain and normal in that Elf movie with Will Ferrell, then in GoT he looked better and better over the years.
I saw him in Dublin a few months back with his family. I managed to restrict my reaction to a discreet nod when he noticed me noticing him. A very good-looking man in real life for sure!
He's definitely one of my celeb crushes. Smart, fantastically talented, honest, and so handsome.
He's very sexy.
Would you ladies enjoy engaging in coitus with a diminutive man like him?
I like how Peter is getting parts that doesn't have to do with how he looks and more to how he acts....
PoeticSonic that’s because he’s just that good. He can make me laugh at any time 😂😂. And can make me take him seriously in the same 60 seconds.

DAMN, Peter Dinklage is a beast of an actor. Having seen most of his work over the last decade, I honestly think he's one of the top 5 actors today, as far as overall talent. He can do just about any accent to perfection.
Yes. The Frank Oz version was my favorite and Peter shined in it.
Add to his acting talents, he is drop dead gorgeous!!!
D LG yeah he costarred with Brent Spiner in a cbs sci go series that was canceled before season 1 even ended. That was s bummer
No tv. This explains a great deal about Peter Dinklage. He is so well spoken and intelligent. Books. ❤️ I love him!
He is such an incredibly talented actor!! I recently learned that his brother is the principal violinist for Hamilton! (he’s been with the show from the very beginning ... back when it was playing at the Public Theater in New York before they even knew whether it would go to Broadway or not)
Can you imagine how proud their parents must be? Their two kids are a major part of two of the biggest cultural phenomenon of our time!!
It took Stephen Colbert nearly 9 minutes to bring up LOTR. That's a record.

He is a beast. He had his voice and accent perfect in that clip. wow.

Yes! It was so spot on that it was creepy!
Yep I was thrown off guard at the voice!
Nice.
I know! Sounded just like him! But what did he say when he asked him how could you possibly know that? I couldn’t understand him.
This man's use of English nuance is wonderful!! Very high intellect! Actors take on roles that may be very different than their private personalities...isn't this obvious to all? Loved this interview!!
Peter Dinklage is hands down one of my all time favorite actors. he always "nails" the role.
He is a fantastic actor, but also a fantastic voice actor. He nailed the accent, and he's just interesting to listen to.

More like "Drink-lage".
Damn. That voice is liquid gold.
Orrr maybe Dicklarge
Seems more comfortable than usual. I'm glad, he usually looks like he's eyeing the exit at the start of most interviews
Well Colbert is a god 🙃
I think his "eyeing the exit" strategy is just anticipation of the inevitable question about his acting roles and living today as a little person. He's like, oh great, here we go again. I think as a society, we've matured in that we can see him as a man and not someone who obviously had no control over the DNA he was given at birth.
Yeah they really shouldn’t be asking ANY questions about being a little person. Don’t they know Peter is just a normal dude who’s really good at acting?
@Robert Meyman Yes they do, but I think that's one more reason to talk about his stature. Because he is an accomplished, remarkable man both in spite *and* because of it. And come on, the man must have a sense of humor about it, or he wouldn't have taken that part in Infinity War.
He was in Canada first.

I wish we saw Peter Dinklage more in different roles. He is such a good actor.
Peter Dinklage is simply an amazing actor.
I think this was the first time that I saw Stephen get uncomfortable. The tables have truly turned during this interview. I liked it. He needs to invite Peter Dinklage on the show more often. Obviously, now that he knows that he's a LotR's fan. He will.
Conan is the other guy who gets Colbert uncomfortable.
Yeah funny to see how Colbert gets totally blown out of his waters. He even needs to summon LotR in order to save himself and wrap this up. What stupid questions did he have on his blue sheets??
When he threw the blue card off to the side I knew Stephen was done 😂😂😂😂😂

"Screw CBS", you said....
Why the hell not! They're doing it to Star Trek fans, why shouldn't they get screwed too?!
As a huge LOTR and Silmarillion fan, who randomly picked "Smith of Wootten Major" as my first REAL book to read when I was 6 and I've been obsessed ever since, I vote for a whole hour of Stephen Colbert raving over Tolkien. Maybe a CZcams special. I love watching him fling out facts, and suddenly I'm a giddy child again clapping my hands squealing, "I know that, I know what he's talking about!"
"It's a perfect adaptation of the books" that's how you know, he's only seen the first season of the show.
Well, it was never perfect, but what they did was intentional and successful. They had to choose a LOT of things to cut out, because George R. R. Martin writes like he's trying to kill you with letters (loooooooooong) and they wanted to capture the essence while dropping 80% of the text. So you obviously can't call it "perfect adaptation", but it was amazing TV show.
@@AdamTuxTengler right, first seasons were really good adaptations of the books in that they had a clear pathway where plot lines were heading while maintaining character consistency. Things went south when the books couldn't be referenced anymore. while visual effects were outstanding, you can clearly tell when they had to improvise and when it was an original element. i don't blame production that much, since George R R Martin is a genius in how he weaves storylines with meaning and unexpected eastern eggs, yet i won't ever find last season even remotely acceptable, imo they ruined major events for shock value and viewer complacency..
Peter: "There was something called books..."
Me: “A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge. That is why I read so much.”

Loved Peter in The Station Agent and have been following him ever since. Space Pants still makes me laugh my ass off. And of course the fact that he drinks and knows things always gives me a giggle. Congrats on the new movie!~
Hey.. me too.
Loved the Station Agent!!
He nailed Herve, Peter is my favorite actor...it seems in any role he takes he owns them. Bravo Mr. Dinklage. Bravo! i loved him in "The Station Agent"....
Took Colbert a long time to scale that wall Pete put up. Salute to Colbert for cracking that nut
Well, Colbert kind of triggered the wall when he asked if people would shout "The plane!" at Peter as a child. I don't think he expected that question. Shoot, I didn't expect it, either.
Yeah..... it was not what I would call a good early-conversation question... but I guess it was connected with the film, so uh... awkwardness was going to come up somehow? ^_^;;; Still don't at all blame him for being a bit low-key spiky after that.
I think he was standoffish from the start. I think after he asked that question, he started to slowly open up. Colbert treated him like a person who is honest, who has integrity and who has something to say that we can all learn from. Peter resists being that person often, but Colbert saw inside of him and tried to draw it out of him. See at one point how Peter called it a therapy session? Colbert was treating him with the highest respect
1:17 "when you were growing up?" made me cringe a little bit

Stephen, we deserve a LOTR-only show from you, with the cast and crew (Especially people like PJ, Richard Taylor, John Howe, Alan Lee, Peter Lyon) as guests and it better run until they have run out of things to say. This is your retirement project. Make it happen.

Everything that I love about Stephen Colbert as an interviewer. And
Just. How. Amazing.
Is Peter Dinklage
For those who have never seen The Station Agent, you must treat yourself! Peter Dinklage, Patricia Clarkson, and Michelle Williams, are wonderful! And the relationship between Dinklage and Bobby Canavele is fantastic. The film has much more nuance then I anticipated it would have, and every time I watch it, I'm always delighted!
Vashti Ramsaroop
My brain had it as The Stationmaster, but you got it right. It was so good!
Man - I know everyone wants to get ANY scoop they can on the last season of GoT, but Dinklage has had to talk about it in every interview he's done for this movie, a project he spent 14 years trying to get made and his friend the director spent 25 years on. It's a shame they only talked about it for a few minutes.
So about the climate change, the swamp, the crippling debt of your society?
Probably only spent a few minutes talking because it's a short film.
Then it's probably not all that great.

If we want passion, culture and not sex, gossip and politics ( or brainwashing and propaganda in general ), watching Stephen Colbert is probably the most idiotic thing to do. Or any talk show on television.
Or pretty much television altogether. What Dinklage said about TV was truth but in the nicest way possible. They are all just prostitutes for the group owning the networks, which have zero interest on America or it's people.
