      @anderspersson7084 Před 4 lety +2

      Well if you put on grease there is nothing that stays locked in place, so it's a choice between squeky parts or spontaniously moving parts, to lubricate or not it's a freedom of choice.

    • @colintraveller
      @colintraveller Před 4 lety +2

      There was only one part that squeaked .to me that's a non issue . not all the parts he moved plus you failed to mention the background noise that thr mic is picking up from nearby ..

    • @paulstu007

      @@anderspersson7084 not true. Latching mechanisms can be greased freely to reduce friction (that's what causes noise) without hindering the operation of the latch itself.

    For me, it would be a 45 foot trawler yacht powered by twin diesels and I'd spend my summers cruising the fabulous Trent/Severn water way in Ontario, Canada. From Picton on Lake Ontario, you travel hundreds of miles through beautiful, scenic lakes and rivers AND pass through many locks, including the incredible Peterborough Lift Locks, all the way to Georgian Bay. You can even take "side trips" to connecting lakes. Plenty of places along the route to stop for supplies, fuel plus there are many waterfront restaurants, inns and campgrounds. An amazing trip. One point! Avoid mid-July to mid-August. It's the busiest time on the system and wait times at the locks can be long. Detailed charts are available from the Provincial government. Put THIS trip on your "bucket list." It's worth it. I'd take three weeks at least. p.s. You can even continue on to the magnificent North Passage of Manitoulin Island.

    Great boat not only for a couple but a single person. Very easy to dock and handle short handed. Would take one of the cabins and make it a storage cabin. Add a washer/dryer combo and a freezer and its more than a day or weekend boat. Its also a place where you can spend a week in it. Not bad price either.

    • @PhilbyFavourites
      @PhilbyFavourites Před 4 lety

      @Alexander Tietze: Hugo does bang on about it but it's... "More space". A pair of D4's need more complex fitment etc etc. And the two F300's take up less space. The Americans love them and it's now the go to fitment for sub 10m boats. Also their petrol costs are peanuts compared to Europe but if you look at the consumption figures your wallet will empty in spectacular fashion at WOT.
      Great value, perhaps too much white plastic. But an undeniable bonus in living accommodation. So the question is how many did they sell at SBS 19 last month?

    • @wilkinsonyachtbrokerUK
      @wilkinsonyachtbrokerUK Před 4 lety +1

      @@PhilbyFavourites I sold those MF outboards previously, now sell the competitor Swift Trawler inboard. Very different purposes. Yes the outboards are easier and less stress maintenance, give much more space inside, but are noisy and more expensive to run. inboards attract a different demographic as the trawler is semi displacement.
      I would go for MF1095 if i wanted speed on demand and to sleep more people. Trawler 30 for more extended cruising for long weekends etc.
