I wouldn't consider the Haoqi Leopard Pro a high performance ebike, but if you're looking for a fat tire cruiser electric bike with a BIG battery and a LITTLE price for some long range easy cruising this could be the ticket. The Haoqi Leopard Pro cheaps out in a few areas that won't matter to the casual weekend warrior biker sticking to easy terrain, while simultaneously delivering big value in key areas.

Very good review; detailed without dragging, and the pace keeps it interesting! Nice bike for the price. Finish looks nice, decent design, full fenders and I like the rear rack. Going though the expense of adding hydraulic brakes, but going with a 160mm rotor just seems like they were cheaping out. If you like that seat post, wait until you try a Suntour suspension seat post. I've had both and while the spring post gives you 15% of what you'd get with full suspension, the Suntour gives you 70%. Sand is hard on motors and controllers, and that one being in a plastic case only keeps the heat in. Glad it has thermal protection though. Thanks for the video!
We've been looking at your reviews for e-bikes, but really enjoying going down memory lane through your videos. My SO was stationed at NAS Point Mugu and for a quite a few years we owned a house Oxnard. We loved going to Venice, it was quite the place back then. Enjoyed our time in Cali.
Glad you like them! More to come, thanks for watching! Venice has changed, but interesting for sure!
Great review as always. I'm impressed with that motor (and the thermal protection) but that generic no-name battery pack would be a safety issue and a deal-breaker for me. They also cut corners on generic, brakes and under-sized rotors which is not where I want to save a few bucks. You've reviewed other bikes that are a better value IMHO.
great review thanks man!!thumbs up
I will give everyone a review of my cheetah bike. I paid $2000 dollars for the dual battery. My bike hasn’t worked properly from day one. Haoqi sent me parts to install because they don’t have any bike shops that work on their products in the USA. I installed the controller panel and assembly cable and the bike still doesn’t work. I sent them video documentation proving the bike isn’t working properly and now they won’t email me back or honor their 2 year warranty
I have this bike now. I was gonna shunt the controller for mOre power but it’s well sealed in rubber insulation . Plan B replace controller
It's residual power stored in the capacitors in the controller that's allowing the brake light and horn to function without the battery plugged in.
You can turn brightness of screen UP
Good value for the dollar
Nice bike!! That's about what I paid for my Mokwheel Mesa Plus (my second e-bike, YAY). I know you reviewed the Basalt. I'm hoping you can review the Mesa Plus (ST) sometime. I'm currently trying to figure out why the power seems to cut out randomly here and there for a second. What happened to you in this video reminded me of it except my power interruption is very short (~1 second) and then it comes back on. Very annoying and their customer service sucks. Has this happened to you on any e-bike ?
Your electric bicycle will experience a short power failure, it should be the battery overheating protection, you can try to solve this problem.
Cool review.. Were you doing throttle only while on the sand?
How tall are you and did you have any issues with the cross bar?
I have a question regarding a 50 km to 90 km in miles. If you're riding on PAS and you're on 50km. How many miles would you have to ride for every 10km/h ?
I have this bike and my wife has leopard step through
. My pas 1 is much faster than hers. Should I got back to factory default?
I have been messing around with setting. Can't figure it out.
Thank you for any of your help.
Haoqi has fixed the controller problem by changing out the case. The new case is ventilated..........Also, Haoqi stated to me their batteries are either Samsung or LG..
Any chance you send the p settings? I have the same bike and screwed them up.
Thanks
What happens if you get a bunch of speed on the pavement and then veer onto the beach?
Can you use this bike off road like for deer hunting?
What do you think of the aniioki aq177? Supposedly it's a 200+ mile ebike and I'm seriously considering
ill have a video on it coming soon
It looks like they've cleaned up Venice Beach quite a bit! 💯👍🏾
it comes and goes 😆 not been bad lately
The controllers have a few capacitors that hold a charge so be careful handling raw wires or connectors.
thanks for the tip!
Surprised as to how beefy those capacitors are if that's the case
Why do you no longer list any folding e-bikes? What about the Gosen Q7?
gosen q7 is meh, I actually have a pretty cool looking folding ebike I need to build and review soon: euybike.com/products/euybike-fat-tire-electric-bike?ref=gwfl1q8t
Isn't that a burn rubber mark on the floor? Must not rent.. I'd freak out
Would this bike be manageable for someone on the shorter side 5'6 5'7?
I’d go for a step thru
I have that same display and what I don't like about it is that it washes out when you get outside.
Turn the brightness up ,P and C settings
@@ianmangham4570 My display doesn't, the manual even says so. It's the same base display but from what i found out, there are 2 models, one has more options than the other. I got the cheap one.
I want to see the Aventon Aventure.2 Ebike
ill get it on the channel
Did you figure anyway to
Unlock a higher top speed ?
whatever I showed in this video is all I figured out
Starting to think about an e-bike....I'm 6'3, 240 lbs....lots of these bikes will be too small or too weak. You should do a video of best e-bikes for tall riders!
He's 6'5, all his videos are for tall riders.
@@Mercstar he weighs only 200lbs tho
Yeh I’m 6’1” 235lbs I really want an e-bike or something but yeah I need to see bikes for us bigger tall guys
@@divin3nightmar339Take a look at the Wired ebikes. 2000 watt motor and a 60v 20ah battery. It can definitely handle your weight, and it is a big bike that could get you real close to 35mph. It's the best deal in the game right now.
@@L1GHT119He ain't FAT
How can I get these company's to send me one to review for them?
you need subscribers for starters. Having an ebike community following you is also a must
Your wife must be very tolerant to allow you to assemble all these in your pad. For the record? I knew someone who lived in your complex or somewhere close by maybe 40 years ago? Kept a Grand Banks 32 in a slip below the balcony... Nice 'hood. Cheers from Sandy Eggo as always.
She has banished all bikes from the premises other than building them 😆
I might ride one of these to San Diego one day
Camera angle too low in early parts of the video. Part of the lure of your channel is watching what is going on around you.
Thanks for the feedback, I try to keep it pointed up, this bike must have stretched me out a bit too far and it fell down. I'll get this dialed in.
Still to expensive
these people that buy these they should just a get a damn motorcycle and ride with cars. at this point im scared to even be on the same damn bike path as people that use this stuff. 20 mph pedal assist. great. 20+mph throttle? you can't have it both ways. if you want power go get a motorcycle or just stay in the forest or other areas away from others. there's a reason why the folks in the eu aren't crazy with the amount of power that goes into their ebike. now i understand why some people are hating on ebikes. its people that use ebikes LIKE THAT. 😒
Not everyone has the ability to store a motorcycle, or the ability to get a motorcycle license, not to mention a huge part of people using ebikes is emissions.
I'm not about to sit here and defend people who ride them incredibly dangerously, but a motorcycle just isn't an option for a lot of people for one reason or another.
Aniioki is better..
Buy your own damn drill.
aint never seen a box opened with a hammer.....LOL....looks like the rear wheel is out of round
you must be new here 😆
