97,000 miles that truck is brand new 😮
This is the best Silverado generation. The truck sounded very wonderful, like a old school muscle car.
Big facts! I daily drive a 95 Silverado.
@@chevrosmith94 5.7 v8 putting on 40s flowmaster as I type this. Love my truck.
The 4500 RPM redline. Oh the 90s. Nice truck though. He takes care of it it'll run forever.
Chevy's are garbage now, but this Silverado is the best generation. Just wish Chevrolet stuck to the old school feel like they did in the 90s instead of making vehicles now that constantly break down or falling apart. 😂
Pre 96*
The fact that it doesn’t have to rev to the moon to make power like the LS engines is a good thing.
@@dp4auburn Yeah but usually the higher u can rev these things the more power they make mine is very linear revs out to 6k .. sometimes it's just fun to rev that high lol especially if you don't tow anything around
88-98 last best generation - had 96 - GM stuff now absolute shit
0:50 WOW, THAT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE A DRAGSTER OR CLASSIC MUSCLE!! Made the video even better with that idle as well!!!!
Old school Chevy's are the best, but I definitely would want my car to sound like that.
Definitely not a dragster
I think the Flowmaster 40 sounds perfect on these older trucks, I wonder how much of a difference the high flow catalytic converter makes
It makes a big difference compared to the big factory pellet converter not only in sound but it's freer flowing
Just cut it out and weld in a pipe
@@irishuwould5185nah. Then they stink and are too obnoxious
Can't go wrong with the flowmaster 40 and an OBS truck. I have a 99 yukon with 2 40's, 5 inch tips and no cats. It sound wonderful!
Do. You get any drone??
Damn, would love to hear that setup. I have an 04 Silverado 5.3 without cats and Flowmaster 40 series with duals at 90s behind the tires. It’s loud!
@@LifewithMario44 A lil bit.....
I have a 98 C/K 1500 5sp 5.0 with no cats, 2 into 1 exhaust with muffler and looking for a flowmaster but idk if I want the super 10 or 40 series. What would you recommend
@@dentondunn4346The 40 series is a nice mixture of loud and throaty. Them super 10's get pretty rowdy and they clap hard at high rpm's. Not a huge fan of the clap. 40 series all the way.
Spot on. Nice quality sound & not obnoxious.
Let them engines BREATH baby! Keep ' the vids coming. When I bought my "new to me" 2004 Silverado Z71 4 or so years ago, I immediately had my local muffler shop install a Flowmaster Delta 40 muffler like this, all with stainless steel mandrel bent piping. I've had the loud drony setups on other sports cars and didn't want that for my daily driver. The Delta 40 works out to be fairly quiet in town and on the highway, but sounds meaty enough when you step on it or rev. That and a CAI really opened up the 5.3 in the truck. I ended up having them not run the piping all the way out to the bumper and just hide the exits underneath the bed, towards the back. I really like that look and setup, plus no tips to rust out : )
So this is what my '95 Chevy Silverado 1500 would sound like with that flow master. 💯
Nice setup for this Chevy pickup
Needs some new spark plugs & wires and a throttle body cleaning. But that is one clean truck sounds good!
yaaa my tought exactly its running rich injector might be leaking ?? or to much fuel
That sounds gnarly I love it, I bet with the flow master even a v6 would sound good
one of these days I might bring in my 1995 chevy to get some true dual high flow cat straight pipes
Very similar to what I want to do to my 95. I want to do true duals, no cats, flowmaster original 40s, 2 1/4 inch pipe & tips. Very soon!
Sounds really deep and smooth at the same time 👍
NICE!!!! Also, I thought Chevy only made 4.*L, 5.3L, and 6.0L V8's, but there is always something new to know, and this is to me!! Since I thought 5.7L is only from a Hemi V8 from Dodge. Nice sound and video, anyways, man!! As always, keep up the GREAT work!!!!
Yes the 5.7 on that year is the small block tbi 350.
There was once a world when Dodge was all but forgotten. When someone said 5.7, you immediately thought of Chevy/GMC
@@oliverhodge2813 Yeah, back when the 4.3, 5.0, 5.7, and 7.4 ruled the GM lineup!
Wow only 97k on the clock! Nice rig, she sounds beautiful 👍
FM40/FMS44 simply the best classic sound !
0:12 looks like someone snatched the original cat!
I had a 94 chevy same flowmaster setup it after a while I cut off tail pipe's and put dump's off muffler and it sounded like a truck should sound... I also had a 01 tahoe with the 5.3 v8 and I was probaly the only person where I lived with dual exhaust on a tahoe lol it sounded right though ...
My dad had one with this engine it was regular cab step side and red and it was lowered with the same exhaust
Nice!
i love those gmt400's great great trucks!
Glad you like them!
I had a 40 single to dual with a stock cat on my 2002 Silverado 4.8- It was ok but I didn’t care for it that much. Had a little “drone” in the cab. Maybe I needed a high flow cat or true dual. The set up I have now on my ‘14 Sierra 5.3 is perfect. All 3 stock cats and no mufflers. Y-pipe and dual out the back. Best sounding truck I’ve ever had. Next I’m gonna try replacing the 3rd cat with a hi-flow. Hopefully that’ll open it up a little more…
Say goodbye to the new catalytic converter unless it gets tuned up
In Germany we say " TÜV sagt NEIN" 😅😅😅 very nice sound👍
Ciao ragazzi siete bravissimi in quello che fate un grande saluto dal Italia
Very nice. You guys do great work!
Thank you very much!
Ah yes, perfect deep sound!
Sounds nice.
Mint 👌
Where did y’all get the Y pipe either the high flow cat. I have a 97’ suburban and love the setup and sound
How much does something like this cost? I have a k1500 5.7 that I want to make just like this…
love this sound. about how much did the install run this guy? how much more would it have been if he had you cut the Y and run a dual system?
Rough estimate on parts and labor please. I was quoted $1800 to do my dual setup with my own flow masters provided.
Give us a call at 615-612-6244. Thats insane
That cat will need to be changed lol. he needs to figure out the CEL and the smoke asap.
Sounds good. Which 40 series? And what brand of cat?
Why go 2.25 pipes exiting instead of 2.5 inch pipe dual exits?
How much was it for him to have it done ????
Nice
Samethin wrong with that joint!, Smokey like a diesel!
Needs a tune up.
I think his priorities are messed up his check engine light is on
That might be due to the replaced cat
