Duncan Grant 1920: Painted at Charleston

Offering a glimpse into Duncan Grant's private life at the time, many of the paintings from the artist's very first solo show, recreated in our current exhibition 'Duncan Grant: 1920', were painted right here at Charleston. Our Head of Collections, Research and Exhibitions, Dr Darren Clarke discusses the works made here at Charleston including 'Interior', which depicts Grant's experimental living arrangements during the First World War.
