Great review, Emma! This bag is absolutely stunning, but I agree that it might just be just too impractical. I love my CHLOE Marcie crossbody, which easily fits my iPhone 7+, sunglasses, cardholder and a lippy. The price is also more reasonable, I think. I love how detailed and thorough you are with your reviews! And the cutaways of you using/styling the bag are really useful. I’ve never really warmed to the Nile bag for some reason, but I love the way you’ve styled it!

Love the hangbag review Emma, can you please buy more bags to review!!! I do think this is a beautiful bag but a touch small and impractical for the price. For those looking for a cheaper alternative if you can live without the bracelet detail I have a very similar one from Marc Jacobs. The saddle bag is a really similar shape and it is the same colour and has the same hard wear and is only a few hundred pounds.

I have this bag and for me personally it’s just an evening going out bag, it just doesn’t hold enough for everyday use and it can be a bit annoying to open and close, great review x
Can I ask what colour you have it in? I had thought about saying that it could be an evening bag but for me (not that I go out-out anyway LOL) the colour of mine just makes me feel like it's not dressy enough as an evening bag. But definitely the perfect size for what you are out in an evening x
Gorgeous bag and such a beautiful colour, but I’m also a big bag girl (and I cannot lie 😂) and carry way too much around. Plus the fact I can’t afford it for starters, but I think it would be such a good bag for a special occasion or wedding when you weren’t having to carry much. Also love that your hair and jumper tone in with your wooden screen and bamboo furniture 🙌🏻👏🏻 x

I was contemplating on this bag for months and ready to buy this weekend but just saw your review and it know I know it's a definite NO for me!! I'm a sunglass girl and the minute I saw that a normal soft case didn't fit, it definitely won't work for me. Thanks a lot for your review, very helpful! xx
The quality of the leather and its durability is amazing I can attest as I have the same one (same size and colour)! Also for a light colour bag it doesn't get bended or stained quite easily (for mine not at all) even with kids around which is a great great plus trust me when you are a mummy and want to stay fashionable :) !!! Also I have to add that when wearing jeans i didn't experience colour transfer (though im usually cautious with this during my holidays (it was warm so conditions favourable to colour transfer even more) I forgot a few times and wear dark colour and jeans without any negative transfer ongoing), I think this is a great characteristic of this bag that makes me loving it even more.
Regarding the size, for me the it is perfect, with kids and having to carry around diaper bag or backpacks besides my own handbag, I've transitioned overtime to keep whats in my handbag to the essential minimum and I actually love it now!! I use to be a big handbag girl though and there is no way I would go back to big handbag, so cumbersome etc If I really need to carry something extra to the city than i use a fancy but simple ecofriendly canvas bag (its very popular here in Amsterdam) and that's it, I made my life much easier!
This is so great to hear Fleur as I haven't had enough chance to wear it to test the colour-transfer situation. And I also think that's a really useful point about it being great for mums, who already have to carry additional bags so it makes a great one for your personal items 👍🏼
For me, with this size, it’s not a bag, it’s a lipstick holder. 😂 but seriously my essentials include two pairs of glasses - one on my nose and one in my bag so bags so small are very impractical for me.

I love it, this purse it's more an accessory than a bag that you will use for an everyday use, for example , for work it will be horrible. Nothing fits! It's just a lovely accessory, like a necklace, shoes, statement earrings, well you get my point... I love it, it's beautiful, so feminine, and cute, now the price is like wow!!! Interesting review...I have Chloe Nile Minaudière which is even smaller and use it mainly as fashionable accessory, if I need practicality I use Givenchy Antigona , I hope you get my point
Yes I totally understand, I have a medium Antigona and it's soooooooo spacious, I also used to have a small Antigona but I sold it because I never used it, and both are so much bigger than the Nile, and more my kind of bag 👍🏼

Great review! Love the new studio space for filming, but I do miss seeing the close ups of your outfits and such, though. Like when you were mentioning the embossing and your initials, it would have been nice to actually see those things. Pretty bag, but definitely not practical for me. I'm also a "big bag" kinda girl.
Ok noted, we thought the close up 2nd angle shots were close enough but if you want super close we can do that. The studio doesn't limit us in any way, it's only a new space so everything we did before is still possible, we're just trying new things 👍🏼

Lots of classics are on my list atmo tbh because when I worked in london I used to save and occasionally invest in pieces of clothing like a Chloe or Stella McCartney jacket or a dress for special occasions but now I’m a mum of two on maternity leave living in the sticks in Devon those pieces don’t really work for my life anymore. So I’d rather invest in classic bags and shoes rather than clothes now that I’m running around after small people and living in mom jeans and tshirts. 😂 - top of the list is a classic Chanel flap but that will probably never happen. Also love the YSL and Gucci quilted bags too. And have alerts for vintage Dior saddlebags and Fendi baguettes on Vestiaire Collective. I think I’d definitely make use of a rucksack as well actually. I have a few Stella McCartney bags which are really good quality and I really like how understated the Falabella backpack is. Also the Chloe Faye backpacks look great and are obviously very trendy atmo. The Prada backpacks are pretty timeless and practical too but perhaps not as minimal as the Stella McCartney, so I’d probably be more drawn to one like that or maybe a classic LV instead. Do Céline do any backpacks? I’d imagine they’d be beautiful Xxx

Very good question, I've never seen a Celine backpack but oh my would it be dreamy if it did exist. I have just got a new Stella (another very kind gift from a brand) and I love it so much, it's a great 'put my life in there' kinda bag and also pretty practical for travelling. I had a grey Falabella tote but I sold it because I just didn't wear it enough, I didn't find the chains comfortable on my shoulder. I'm looking into and seriously considering the Faye backpack in black and just like you I have alerts on Vestiaire for a Vintage Dior Saddle and Fendi baguette, so you've got some competition over here 🙋🏼♀️🤣
I have always made the statement that I would never buy a new bag from Chanel because they're so expensive, this Chloe is expensive but Chanel and Hermes are just in another realm. I bought (or rather Simon did for Christmas) a vintage Chanel flap bag, in amazing condition from Vestiaire, they're still expensive but even for one in excellent condition it's half the price of a new one and they have the original gold plated hardware not just gold-tone like the new ones. I'm the same as you in that I very rarely buy designer clothes, I love the high street especially places like Mango and & Other Stories (for higher quality) but I do LOVE my designer and investment bags and shoes. The heart wants it wants right 😉

How does the size compare to the Marcie Mini? I’m in Paris next week and have been thinking about splurging on it but I have an iPhone 6+ and can’t live without taking my phone in my bag (why do women get ripped off when it comes to pockets?!?!)

It's like these brands have no idea about the tech we're all using 🙈 I tried the Marcie Mini when I had my iPhone 7+ and it just fit but again it had to go at an ole and doesn't leave much room for other things, it is slightly bigger than the nile so a better option and a cheaper one 😉
