Love your videos! Thanks for taking the time and sharing your hard work. Some of the best Fractal tones I’ve heard on CZcams.
Thanks so much Jack!!!!
This brings light to the day for all things Fractal when considering a purchase. The features are almost infinite.
The playing makes the tones. Not that the tones aren't good, just that the playing is really good.
Thanks David!!!!!
This is a super practical way to setup the FM3, amazing video! Great playing too :)
Incredible tones bro and that playing is simply brilliant !!!
Great sound setup, tones and of course your playing is right on as always Milo!
Thanks my brother!!! Hope you're doing well!!!!
Sounds awesome! And that pair of hands is doing most of the magic 😊
Your presets are so nice. I also have FM3, so I just downloaded it.
Thank you so much!
Great tones and playing
Sounds Amazing bro!!
You're the man!!
Sounds great mate! Hope to have my FM3 soon ;-)
Milo- terrific demo for the FM3. Appreciate the insight into your choices. I was unable to achieve such a multitude of tones in a single preset so I decided to sell my FM3 and stick with the Axe3. I guess I'm spoiled or lazy, but probably both.
One thing I noticed while you were tuning halfway into the video was you're playing tuned down half a step. Do you normally play that way or was it simply the guitar grabbed for the demo? Fractal virtual capo perhaps?
Hey Matt!!! Since gigs stopped, I tuned this guitar to Eb just for fun and it's been cool! Except when I have to do sessions and I gotta transpose charts when using this guitar haha
thank you so much camilo
Always stellar!
Thanks Nate!!
Incredible Gear, incredible musician!
Thank you Alessandro!!!
Man! Those ambient tones are to die for! Please play more of those chords :)
Thanks bro!!!!
Gran sonido y gran feeling. ¿Piensas hacer un similar explorando las posibilidades de la FM9? Feliz año, Camilo
Love your playing and presets. How do you record these, is this the camera mic?
I love your sounds! Mine is on the way, also the FC-6 controller. If I use your presets what will show up on the other 6? I’m a old noob and kinda fearful stepping into the digital world, thank you!
Man, your sound card alone, which your FM3 is conected to, is worth two FM3s. No wonder you've got that studio-grade sound quality. Playing skills help as well, of course.
The “fat switch” is the thing!!
Amazing sounds and playing! - I've got the FM3 aswell and downloaded your preset. How do you set up your buttons for the controlswitches?
I set mine up on layout 3 FC 10-12... worked great!
Cool - tx for the sharing
Cool! nd you do you switch scenes? is there a way to do it by foot?
love that dumble tone, just curious you have an amp, cab, vol, delay and reverb on this setting and it's pushing the cpu close to it's limit? Did I miss something?
Not sure if using every channel in a block uses up a lot of CPU. I know the Reverb and the Plex Reverb use up a good chunk of it
Your stuff is so good, thanks for sharing-you and yours be well/stay safe...
Thank you Lawrence!!! The same to you guys!!!!
nice tone ! how can i use "fat switch and boost switch and brighter switch "?
my controller is not assign
Great tones! Are you switching cabs on every amp?
Yeah! I did all stock cabs for this one, but each amp is linked to a different pair of cabs
Hi.. FM3 & Kemper Stage, which one would you prefer for best sound quality? I play guitar for metal band, by the way.
Hello, I downloaded the presets for my FM3 and no sound. The other presets work. Am i missing something in the setup? Can someone please help. Thanks for these amazing tones!
Did you try the new economy mode for Reverb in 1.04 fw to help lower CPU utilization? It is supposed to sound just as good. Still waiting on my FM3 purchase invite. The Friedman w/boost, MVP! 👍
Yeah. It's on economy there.
Hermano...Great preset but even better playing!!!
Luis!!! Thank you bro!!
Hi which one is better using fm3 interface or using another soundcard for recording fm3?
How are you getting the controllers to be assigned to the footswitch in the FM3?? I cannot figure it out for the life of me
Saludos hermano, no he podido configurar los botones para Bright fat y boost. Alguien me podría explicar como hacerlo?
Does having the multiple amps suck up CPU?
Friedman Song its so AMAZING
Thank you!!!
How do you make the footswitches work with the presets as you do on screen ..I am new at the FM3 so I am not sure what to do ! ( ie setting the PA boost etc ) The patches are right up to the limit of the CPU !! so switching is real slow...Bet this wont happen with the Quad Cortex...
What's up brother! Replied to your email!
I’m having the same problem! Can you please help?
Cant seem to get the different tonal variations. How is the layout for the FM3 done? Can go through the scenes but I can only turn on and off the verb and delay
Make sure you're using the footswitches for the Bright, Fat, and Boost. Since I have them as control switches you won't be able to tweak them on the Editor unless you unlink them.
@@CamiloVelandia what i dont understand is how you get the fat/bright..to show up on the footswitches. Can u provide quick work flow on how to get them on footswitches as per your demo. Did you do this in the editor...or is it allready there on your preset...and i haven't found it. Ty
Great work
I second that, pretty new to this thing and while navigating around the layouts in FM3 edit I just can't find the Bright, Fat and Boost and assign them to anything! It's like they ain't there. Running FM3 1.06
@@Skippzore You have to into the foot controllers to set up the switches for Bright, Fat and Boost. They weren't set up when the preset was release.
@@jaystonerkstr Yeah I am in the FC controller settings in FM3 edit but I just can't find bright, fat or boost. Am I supposed to program what they do myself? Do I go into per preset and like select functions? Cuz the only choice I get is "placeholder" :/
Edit: Figured it out. Went into the Amp-block and right clicked the Fat, Bright and Amp Boost and bound them to Control switches 2, 3 and 4. Then I picked the per-preset thing and bound control switch 2, 3 and 4 to the three buttons and chose function: Latching. Now it work!
384 MILO Dotted S06 was money. Sounding good my man. Do you still have it- any interest in upgrading to the FM9? I have a new one still in the sealed box. Had some expenses come up yada yada. If anyone is interested lemme know.
dude im not sure if your FM3 is more powerful than mine...but this preset maxes out at like 86% and I can not get itto make any sound. It won't even let me delete some of the blocks I wouldn't be using.
Your video sounds great though !!
My reverb quality is in ECONOMY. Double check that your reverb quality isn't super high. That will eat up a bunch. The preset as I have it, is a couple % off from cutting off. Also I was told by Yek I can delete output 2 and link em in the settings. In addition, you can mix the stereo cabs to mono in Cab Lab and save CPU that way too.
If only I could download your skills with the preset
For this simple patch the cpu usage is always over 82 / 85%.....
Hey Camilo, i downloaded the preset today and the 4 first scenes work great! awesome sound. But when i go to the Fender Tremlo and the scenes after that, I get a CPU limit message and it gets muted. I tried in 2 different devices. Why is that? Thanks!
So what is probably happening, is that I made this video over a year and a half ago, and there have been dozens of firmware updates since then. Off the top of my head, I know Cliff has re-done all the amps, added more delays, added at least one reverb type, and probably other stuff I'm forgetting... so it's very probable that with the current firmware, some blocks may take up slightly more CPU than they did when I made this back in Jan 2020.
@@CamiloVelandia thanks for your reply Camilo. One last thing, how do you manage to assign brigth, fat and boost to the footswitches? I have been trying all day long LOLOLOL. Thanks mate
@@patolustig in the software editor, right-click it, a window pops up, and assign it to a Control Switch. (For example Control Switch 1 for bright, Control Switch 2 for boost, etc). Then on the screen where you assign what the buttons do select the Control Switch where you want it!
Sounds great! Can I get your preset?)
The FM3 sounds good, but I'm really concerned about the CPU being maxed out so easily. I don't understand why one would make an effects processor with such processing power limitations. Is there a way to quantify how many effects can be run simultaneously? How good are the octave and pitch shifting effects - can they handle polyphonic playing, chords, altered tunings, etc.? I'm really enjoying your demos and playing. Thanks
So there's a reason to upgrade. 😉👍
Does the Fm3 have a present titled: _Cliffs of Dover_ ?
Yup!! I just checked my FM9 and it's there. FM3 should have it too since it's the same across the board.
@@CamiloVelandia Thanks.
Do you have issues with audio being interrupted when changing scenes?
Not unless it switches amps, but it's incredibly unnoticeable
Camilo Velandia weird! It happens to me a lot when I change from drive a to drive b for example. is there a setting you have to set?
@@CamiloVelandia Mil gracias, crack!
I imported this preset and my FM3 crashed right away...
Can I use this on the axe fx3 too?
Yeah!
Although I think this preset is great, its very disappointing to see the words WARNING at the top right the whole time. You'd think they'd put just a little more horsepower into this thing.
