    Awesome video Leon...as a newcomer to the FM3, your videos have become the first place I look to learn things...the entire cabinet/IR thing is extremely overwhelming and again, this video will be a big help as I try to become more familiar with the Cab block.

    Use of the tones for live is exactly what I’m looking for.
    Would be great if you had an AX3 and FM6/12 live setup at a live gig with the whole package. Setup, pa feed and monitors.
    Love your work Leon!

    Leon, thanks for the tips. There are low and high cut filters in both the "cab" tab page and the "preamp" page of the CAB Block. Is there any difference in adjusting those in the cab page vs. those in the preamp page? Should we adjust both or only the preamp cuts as you've shown.

      @G66eu  Před 3 lety +5

      The only difference is the placement in the signal flow - the preamp tab will low/high cut the entire block, the individual cuts are for individual IR's

    Hi!!! Great video!!!
    I'd like to know how the air parameter in the room section affects the tone, it seems that adds a lit of fizz but don't know what thas mean.
    Thanks!!!

    Great video! One little extra thing I would like to see is pan the cabs left and right - then have a little delay separation between them. I see a way to pan, but I don't see a way to put any small delay in without a delay block. Is there a way?

      There's a feature called "align" in the cab block which does just that!

    What's the difference between the Low Cut and High Cut on the 'Cab' tab vs the same parameters on the 'Preamp' tab? I notice you specifically use the 'Preamp' tab parameters, and not the cut parameters on the main 'Cab' tab.

    • @JRFarmercom
      @JRFarmercom Před 3 lety +1

      Looks like the 'Preamp' cuts apply equally to both loaded IRs (Cab 1 and Cab 2), whereas the 'Cab' tab cuts apply individually to the loaded IRs.

      That’s my understanding. You can tailor each IR and overall cab block separately

      Correct. I default to the preamp tab as that's what the AX8 had, but the individual cuts are handy if you have something like a really boomy ribbon but with smooth tops (add some aggressive low cut) and a dynamic with a really nice low end but a bit too much fizz (add some high cut on that mic).

    Yo Leon my setup doesn’t sound as hot and “in you face” as I’m hearing on your vids, any suggestions

      I'm sure he does some kind of post production EQ or something like that. Fm3 doesn't sound like that by itself
