That’s nostalgia right there, I used to see these aircraft all the time but they’ve since been retired. I’ve only flown the MD80 twice but still... that’s a long a cabin, especially for a plane with rear mounted engines!
Something about this video that I just love. Maybe it's the aircraft, the modern like mixing with this retro baby, or just the cabin music. 😂 Love the video. 👍👍
@@markvolpe2305 Luckily, the MD-88 kept the original seats that came with the airplane back in the late 1980’s. All they did was put different seat covers on it. The -88 had a lot of the original things still in the cabin besides the minor updates they installed. I’m glad they left a lot of it original on the inside
Cool! I've always wondered how the L2 door area looked like from the inside. It's interesting that there is no galley in the rear for a long length Maddog lol
For 99% of us,to have unfettered access like this is impossible. If anybody opened that jetway door as you did unannounced, you can expect at the very least, a verbal chewing out from airport/airline staff--oddly some parts of the main cabin were out of sorts, tray table down, some blankets and plastic wrap on the seat--what was the gate agent's reaction when you indicated you wanted to film the interior?
@@jonahair747 yes! I thought it was you. Do you have ig channel? Does Calvin have a yt channel as well? Not many mad dogs here in Europe, a few sad birds are awaiting the chopper at Kemble 😣
@@Bogenspeakersguy That’s what I am saying, the flight crew that worked the flight previously to this one left the boarding music on in the cabin. Yes, the speakers in the cabin of the aircraft were playing the boarding music

Love the cockpit tour! :)

I like how they make it modern and retro at the same time 😎
Thanks for the excellent video tour of this MD-80! It will be missed forever
I enjoyed the tour. I will miss flying on them.
I miss them dearly
Amazing work, thank you
Great video!!!
Absolutely sweet video, nice office 😎👍
Linda aeronave ! 😍
What a beautiful plane.💖
What a dead plane
What a sweet plane !
I like the sound of the avionics/generators. Newer planes don't have quite the same 400hz hum as these older McDonnells.
I couldn’t agree with you more!!!
3:51 dont look at me like that
Happy new year! Very good video. Very nice views in the cockpit.
Tristan L. Thank you!! And I hope you had a great New Years as well
I miss the md 88 and 90
Muito bom 👍
Sim ele fazeio muito bem
Love it!!!
What is the title of this song?
Just gotta… *turns volume up*
I worked that plane more times then i can count
Aww, i really wanna see more in the cabin. I wish next video less cabin windows, more the cabin, crew seat, galley & lavatory features.
I love the cabin windows
What's with the red on the back of the seats in the beginning of coach?
blackbirdwisconsin delta has seats at the beginning of coach with a little bit of extra leg room. For a fee lol
They should reedit/revive the whole MD80 program.
Gotta love the delta sky radio tunes
Did they update the cabin on all these planes with mood lighting?
Unfortunately they did. I hate that lighting. But when the Maddogs were still around it was rare if they used it.
@@jonahair747 I just think it's sad that they spent all that money updating the interior of those planes only to retire them a couple years later.

DeltaEagle7700 You need to fly across the pond and get to Atlanta and fly on a couple before they retire.
@@jonahair747 Hmmm! Maybe one day!
I want a md-90 so bad and put it in a hangar

Not gonna lie, the boarding music sounds kinda ridiculous on a plane like the Super-80 🤣

I honestly have no clue, that was the boarding music that was playing in the background
