You guys got that Fiero stripped down to the bones. You may as well throw a Lamborghini Countach Body Kit on it and remove all traces that it's a Fiero.
I’m not being negative.....but that turbo is going to need more support than just the header.....stainless steal or not, those headers will break eventually......those turbos get extremely hot” to the point of seeing the exhaust part glow red hot.....those headers and transmission is on death row. It’s looking good and you guys are excellent welders......
I know a fabricator that worked his whole career in his own shop that only used heavy steel saw horses but leveled everything and did perfect work. he contracted and built m&m mars stuff for 30 years from their blueprints.
according to web sources, the front wheel driver LS4 engine has the same bellhousing pattern as the v6 getrag. So getting a ls4 added complications to this swap, including getting Archie's bellhousing adapter and having to adjust for the extra width on the drivetrain due to the adapter. Just something to think about for next time.
I've wanted to build one of these for about 20 years now. Very nice work. Have you ever done an LS swap into a British sports car, say, an MGB Roadster?
@@leonsgarageadventures2907 Well, I happen to have an MGB Roadster and would love to put an all aluminum Chevy small block into it with the goal of keeping the balance as close to the original as possible so that it still handles like an MGB Roadster and not a '55 T-Bird. I've participated in swaps of cast iron small blocks into a '31 Model A sedan and a 64 Chevy II, all of which is ancient history. BTW I'm VERY impressed with the range of skills I'm seeing in these videos. VERY impressed.
Just go with an ls. All the power you could ever want. Also the availability of aluminum blocks and heads makes for a light weight combo that packs a punch.
I saw another CZcams video with a fiero with an LS4...!!! I think the LS4 is a easier swap due to the fact that the LS4 was designed for W-body FWD GM cars...!!! Just like the 3800's
I caught that donut reference.. and now pop up, up and down headlights is stuck in my head

Just found this channel, keep up the good work dudes!

I'm going to be making a supposed when I pull the engine back out. I believe the I might have hurt the cam or lifter.
damn boys this is coming along really well, looking forward to more
Got a bunch coming for this build. Look forward every day!
"any flat surface is a table - or will become one over time" that right there is funny...

That looks cool!
Was literally looking at a 88 fiero and thinking how cool it would be with a ls3 and then I see this in my recommendations
CZcams scares me like that sometimes
wonder if can you use a corvette transaxle
DK would be proud.
What kind of transmission do you have on there
Been watching the Videos. Love it! Keep up the good work & keep having fun. Archie
Haha agreed. take apart one complete fiero, save the nuts, bolts screws, grommets - you have enough for life in you own parts dept...lol.

So there's no engine mounts? just straight steal on steal? You'd think there would be a rubber bushing there.
You guys have a lot of time to work on this. Are you doing evenings, weekends, or what?
Your shop is nicely equipped with tools, what do you do for a day job?
I’m looking to swap my engine in my 86 Fiero. How much did the whole setup cost? I’d really appreciate it. Thanks
Do you make this frame for sale?
My car is an 86 gt

Not yet. But theres always time. We did swap a ls turbo into a ford festiva.

Yes the ls4 is a more common swap. Stay subscribed if you wanna see kore info about that swap. Wink wink.
Did you have swap out the transmission, for the LS3? I'm debating on swapping out my V6 and go with a 383 stroker engine, for my Fiero!
ls4 better swap
What kind of coilovers are those?
Just out of curiosity what did it take to mount that transmission to the engine
A billet aluminum adapter plate from the archies kit.
That's the factory trans, right?
For now. I have a f23 for it when the getrag dies
LeonsGarageAdventures Hmmm... 🤔 Very interesting. Is it true they can take a ton more power by just adding a limited slip to the differential?
@@leonsgarageadventures2907 would be a bad idea to get a posi for f23 Trans. I Don't think the getrag is going to last long behind the ls.
no sideways mounting LS no thanks!
