wow I love the LSx and I have been a Fiero fan for years besides their "pinto" catches on fire reputation. even if all they did was place a 5.3 LS4 into it it wouldn't have scared the Corvette people and all the fabricating it takes to even put a 3800 sc or 4.9 Cadillac. I believe the LS is the best option until the LT1's start hitting the salvage yards....glwb I am building a mild LS1 t-56 in a 1993 extended cab 1st gen S10. I enjoy other's builds. I follow a guy whose dropped a LS 427 twin turbos into a Pontiac Solstice but that is a front engine beast like a Miata. I had a bud do a sbc 327 longitude it using the trunk space and either a 325 or a 425 Cadillac transmissions. think it had OD. But I believe the engine places much weight behind the rear tires? because he used to take it out on weekends to pop wheelies at stop lights. Does anyone know if that was the reason? I mean there is a Fiero with a 8.2 500ci Cadillac in youtube.
As U can see we got a good old boy and videos the dog chilling on the tarp on the shop floor hell yea I use to do the same thing with my dog 🐕!! Bad ass car I'm looking a body I'm trying to find 1 in great condition needing a motor !!!
i know this is way late but i keep thinking on how well it would have worked to turn the intercooler into an airbox too since there's no direct airflow over it. the left side could have been boxed in for a big square k&n filter or for a cold air intake tube sent behind the rear bumper, then the right you could have boxed it in and v-banded it to the intake on the turbo, the turbo sucking the air could have cooled the intercooler at the same time.
The car will not hold together with that swap job. The front trunk wall is the main strut tower brace. It was cut out on this swap. Without any bracing the wheels will not have much upper lateral support. When you do an engine swap on a Pontiac Fiero you always leave the trunk wall there.

You guys should have left the ride height stock and just changed the wheel set up to give it the stance you want...tires make a big difference to and those tires on the car are wore out junk..
Just looked at the channel we got alot in common love working on flat head mini bikes uve owend 6 miatas a 94 5.0 amd my first car was a fiero. And about 22 other cars in between them lol but damn u dropped turbo LS engines in yours i freaking wish i had the skill back then to swap v8s into 4cylder cars lol your chanel should have way more views for the projects you under taken man defnitly should re edit and make thia channel better cuss its defnitly got some great content bud ill be subing for sure

@@leonsgarageadventures2907 Traction is great, but coming from a V8 Fiero guy, and my latest upgrade is about 2 steps behind yours. (going from a Nitrous 4.9 Caddy V8 to a 6.0 LS Turbo 5spd) You are going to want the extra weight on the nose to help in keeping the front wheels on the ground. Once you get some good tires the nose is going to try and pull off the ground. I could just about do it with the 4.9 on Nitrous, with my new 6.0 Turbo swap, I am thinking power wheelies in 2nd gear could be possible.
A turbo 3800 would eat this car for breakfast.....I seem turbo power 3800 do 500hp on a stock engine, that transmission is on dearth row.. It sounds good all v8s sound good....despite it being slower than a turbo 3000......iif the compression ratio is stock.....iyour only gonna be able to do no 6 pounds of boosts.....anymore and the engine will go boom. That transmission is iFUBAR

Do you have to swap the transmission and ECU, for that type of engine swap?
@@87ferrarif40 yes. You use the LS4 ECU. You have splice the Fiero harness into the LS4 harness. It's NOT an easy swap.

Try getting an ls4. A lot easier. JUST need to change out intake and exhaust manifolds, and OEM cam for a 228 @ .050s cam.

600hp in a Fiero is a bad idea. you'll be fine with 400hp

We just slapped on the suspension. Took it to get aligned yesterday. You're right she was pretty far out!
