I don’t usually watch his videos but decided to watch the z6iii one after seeing this . I don’t honestly see anything in the video that’d put me off buying this camera . All the important bits are positive, maybe nitpicking with the focus but from examples shown it looks more than competent for most people . If I was in the market for a 24mp Fullframe camera I wouldn’t hesitate getting this , looks good for the price.

You haven’t held the camera and he has used it. Why is it ok for you to say he’s wrong or assume he’s lying?

Jared irks the sh1t out of me when he says "Canon gets AF spot on out of the box" - when he says that I know he is a shill for Canon - no camera in the world (at least not yet) can read your mind. If you are shooting a wedding on a dance floor there is no way for the camera to know who the bride or groom is, or who the target subject is. Sure if you are shooting one person against a clean background almost any modern camera will get the AF spot on. Also, he doesn't use BBF which can be very useful in many shooting situations.

Rest easy, nobody is going to drop Nikon because Polin found a criticism. So far the reviews I’ve seen have been overwhelming positive.

The Z6III looks like a total winning package for Nikon.

Ummm... did you sign a contract with Nikon to only praise them and put down others who's actually used the camera? I'm not seeing a Z6III review from you.

The issue is he is going to be even worse for business if they don't acknowledge him. His videos are not as popular as his 1.46 million subscribers will make you believe, his las 100K+ video is from 2 months ago, if I am not mistaken, but he often hits 50K+ which is far better than Matt Granger does (don't ask me why humanity is doom), on par with the Northrups, far better than the Art of Photography (I am telling you man) better than Julia Trotti and the list goes on. Sadly the situation of the camera market is hard. They are doing a call, I can see your point but also Nikon's. What makes no sense is not sending cameras to supporters.

I guessed wrong about the 6III and really thought it was going to be a 33 megapixel camera and have a shutter shield. It still looks to be a solid body...We'll balanced for video, low light/night shots and stills. I do like the addition of the touch swivel screen. Looks like the "Fantastic Four of Full Frames" are set (Z9, Z8, Z6 III & ZF; once/if the Z7 III is announced, I'll change the team to "Furious Five of Full Frames).

His review is actually positive. Why you mad bro? Nikon won’t stop sending him gear because he can deliver views. His Z6III video has over 100k views. He says mostly positive things and is very careful with criticism. Go check his comment section, he recommends that people buy or preorder this camera. I think your reaction is unnecessary.

I stopped watching Jared over a year ago. To be honest, the top 3 or 4 camera makers all make great cameras. I’ve been shooting Nikon for close to 30 years and before that was Canon. I tell anyone who see me with my Nikons (Z9, Z6, D850 and yes, an F5) and ask me what they should buy, I tell them any of the top brands that feel good in your hand. When I switched to Nikon I just really liked how it felt in my hands and the button placement and how it was built. I add that if you like the camera, if it feels good in your hands and you learn how it works, you’ll be more likely to grab it and start shooting. Each brand has strengths and weaknesses and like you said, you need to know your camera. I’ve ordered my Z6III and can’t wait to get it. And I’ll know it’s quirks soon enough. Great video, you’re 100% correct and I can’t wait for your next one!

mate you're sounding like a Nikon fanboy. Jared was fair i thought, it's obvious the photo AF isn't quite as good as the competition yet. Lots of other good things in it though particularly for video

The only thing about the Jared review is comparing 2 different scenarios with AF stickiness. The Nikon example had nearly a full frame fist in the way and the canon example was full body and the fists weren’t punching towards the lens.

I think this is a really good camera but I don't think I was wowed by this camera from Nikon, it really felt as though they were finally catching up. I think this is pretty much on par with the R6 MII but that camera is now selling for $2000 USD vs this one at $2500 USD. They really needed to have brought this camera out earlier because the Z6 and Z6II just were not there and the only compelling options they had for semi-pros in mirrorless was Z9 and later Z8, and maybe Z7 if you mostly shoot still subjects. In terms of autofocus they all miss sometimes, but that doesn't mean you can't criticize manufacturers to continually make it better. If you don't talk about things like autofocus and shooting speed there isn't much to discuss about as pretty much all camera manufactures have something decent at this point - not to mention some of these features matter to some users. Having great autofocus doesn't mean a computer is doing everything for you. It means I can instead of messing around with autofocus joysticks I can focus on my composition, framing and creative process. If I'm shooting wildlife I only get one chance for the shoot and if AI autofocus misses I lose time and shoots having to go back to single point. I think he was completely right about the complexity of the Nikon autofocus system at least compared to the Canon system where you can just select auto and you are good for pretty much most situations - no need to change wide area modes ect. If this came out at the same time as the R6 MII when I switched from Nikon DSLR I would probably have stuck with Nikon especially with all the wildlife lens options they have. Really looking forward to the full reviews though.

I currently shoot with 2 Nikon Z8's. I think the Z6 iii will be a phenomenal camera. I probably won't get one, but will see if it fits in my plans or not. Not pre-ordering as it is not a top priority right now. Good rant about Jared. I think the overall expectations were met or exceeded with the announcement.
