The Z6 III is incredible for the price. The sensor readout speed, the shooting speed, the video specs... it really is in another league for hybrid use compared to others in the price range, especially the A7 IV.
@@TechnoBabble but see you sound like a professional you got to really use it and push it to the max but it's going to make you lazy it's going to make your photography Don't feel like photography cuz most of the camera is going to do it for you I mean what's going to make you put it in manual and make it feel like you're doing it yourself when I kick mines in manual I know I'm getting the best shot when I put this Canon in manual and put it on high speed I don't know why they keep saying that she's loving frames per second I can get it clean 25 frames out of this thing myself with my my car you know it's like how many frames per second do you really need to catch the right shot I mean really I mean it's progress rock one of your main reasons for burning really what was the reason for just burning money on the Nikon z63 it was so many other options you could have bought a Sony you could have bought a cannon but you chose to buy that I mean what was the purpose because I actually have the money to buy it I just refuse to because I'm a Canon user and cannon autofocus always has been better than that kind I seen Nikon as being slow and everything shooting you know it sound like every time I shot a Nikon it was in slow shutter speed I don't know why but it just didn't work for me and pictures be blurry after I look and I know I shot it in my eye and one thing about the EVF it really hurts my eyes. Try my best to lower the volume of the whole brightness thing and then I just get burnt out on it I mean we look at our phones all day we watch TV all day do I really need a TV screen in my eye again again and again and again every time I lift my camera up here's this TV screen and again and again I have an optical viewfinder it's going to show me what I need to know and that's great

@@JasonLorette the dynamic range and poor autofocus the Z6iii has is not worth it if they gave it the z8/9 autofocus it might be a bit more stable. Also shadow recovery makes it unusable for wildlife photography not to mention wedding photography. Overall it’s overpriced for what it can do. Panasonic is leading the way in Value and autofocus atm.
I'm thrilled to see coverage of any Nikon, so Z6III, and if you can get your hand on the 1.2 primes, they are really something special.

Please look at the Nikon some more! It's probably the most underrated brand in the photo and video market, definitely worthy of its own video with the Z6III. I am on the Z6II and will probably upgrade in the next year or so
@@JasonandaCamera I’m glad to hear Nikon is getting its mojo back and/or acquiring new mojo. Back in the day, I loved my F3HP. They had a 30 year run when they were the top of the heap of 35mm film photography and across its various specialties. The best glass overall. Rock solid reliability. And the widest assortment of accessories.

I really want a full video on a Nikon, and the Z 6III seems interesting, but the c400 is my dream camera, so I guess I'd prefer that slightly, but I'd love a video on both.

I just got the a7iv before the z6iii came out and now im kinda regretting it :')
If you got it for 2k flat, dont be , thats still a great deal photo wise , still a decent pick in video
For what’s its worth, the A74 has better DR in both photos and videos, RAW in the Nikon isn’t gonna make up for that, RAW’s advantage is mostly in color fidelity.
@@JojoJoget True, but DR can be resolved using lights. And no photographer or videographer shoots without light. Besides SDR delivery can't even hold more than 10 stops.
@@JojoJogetit »s not true in 100%…the advantage of ths a7iv is the s-log3 which have better curve and less contrasted image than the n-log, this is why you see more « DR »….but when you shoot raw you will have the possibility to change the curve and the 12 bits raw file will give you the possibility to gain 1-2 more stops. I have the z8 and lumix s5iix, and when shooting raw in z8, the image is better than the s5iix in v-log.
In photo yes the a7iv have more DR than the z6iii (less than 1 stop I think), but in 2024 it’s not a problem thanks for pro tools you will have in post…
From a general point of view, the z6iii is still a better camera than the a7iv...surely Sony's response with the a7v will be this year...so we'll see
@@JojoJoget The DR downgrade from the "partially stacked" sensor is kinda overblown in my opinion
It's about a stop worse at lower ISOs than something like the A7 IV, where you already have good dynamic range, and it's about on par with modern APS-C cameras (but with less noise). Once you hit ISO 800 (Z6 III second native in stills/linear gamma) they're nearly identical.
Sure, it's not going to be the best thing ever made for backlit landscape photos, but for 99% of photos and video you wouldn't notice a difference. What you're far more likely to notice is the framerate options, internal RAW video, and the much lower rolling shutter distortion.
Fun fact, the dynamic range of the sensor is actually only a tiny bit lower than the FX3, and nobody really complains about that camera.

This was so much fun to shoot! Finally Nikon are getting the respect they deserve. And I'm definitely going to look into the new Insta360, the backwards hit-clip thing was really great.
Also I have to say that RE: the MovMax arm, the adjustment for spring preload also loosening whatever seals ended up blowing out seems like a bit of a design flaw. Like I mentioned on the day, that's exactly how you adjust the sag on a dirt bike, so I figured it would work exactly the same. And the fact that it didn't blow until several hours afterwards seems odd, I'd have expected it to fail when we were actually shooting Kari. But I guess RTFM would also have helped in this scenario.
A full commercial with the Pocket 3 and that arm! I found it so easy and fun to work with for bicycle tours etc.

I would love to see more of the Canon C400.
I really like this format! It's cool seeing the different categories of cameras getting a quick overview together instead of being focused on one product or maybe just putting direct competitors together in very limited testing. Showing the actual highlights to your friends happens to be a great way to filter out the formal reading of the spec sheet and reading all the marketing copy too, and getting together to find actual use cases where you'd pick each kind of camera over another option was great. Also, if the data rates and dynamic range come up in conversation organically its so much more watchable than just dodging all the numbers and features being thrown at me as a viewer. basically great job, loved the buffet overview style, I'd love to see that approach stick around.
honestly I am so so so curious about the performance of the triple base iso on the c400. and the way that Canon priced this camera is so surprising, I would've expected it to be $15-20k

That’ll depend of your line of work. I don’t think the C400 is meant to replace the C70 Market.
However if you need full frame format and you work solo, the better AF will be a huge upgrade for you.

I like that MovMax z-axis suction mount. I used 2 cameras for a Moab off-road 4x4 trip; a GoPro Hero 10 on a gimbal suction mount and a Pocket 3 with a ball head on a suction. The GoPro footage was really good, but the Pocket 3 without an additional stabilizing device couldn’t handle it.
