So today's video is a bit of a shoutout to the CZcams heroines championing retro scents (whilst also being the new scent pioneers that they clearly also are). 100% gold all of these:

Veronica Says: / @veronicasays
Chantel Tiffany: / chanteltiffany

Not mentioned in this video, but she's been getting even more into vintage fragrances recently, so thought I'd highlight Paola Bianka: / paolabianka
Back to the video: I was looking at my perfume collection and I realised that I own virtually no fragrances marketed prior to 2000. I think my first experiences of perfume were those of my relatives: aldehydic fogs of Chanel no. 5, YSL Rive Gauche and Estee Lauder Youth Dew that have put me off those fragrances for LIFE. đ I've stayed away from strong aldehyde based perfumes in this video and ventured only a little further back in the mists of time to dabble my toe in the waters of only the late 1980s and 1990s mostly. I've tried to obtain the vintage formulations rather than the modern versions to sniff of some fragrances from Lancome, Ralph Lauren and of course, the perfume classic, Calvin Klein. All of these perfumes are still readily available to buy today (20+ years later) which shows that they must all have something about them that made them successful...
Here I try 4 or 5 vintage-ish fragrances and tell you what I think... will I like any of them? These were all secondhand (preloved LOL) blind buys for the sakes of the environment and my wallet.
Fragrances mentioned and timestamps:
0:00 Intro
0:55 LancĂŽme Miracle (2000)
2:25 Uma Thurman and her white shirts
2:50 Ralph Lauren Romance (1998)
4:50 Calvin Klein Eternity (1988)
5:17 Those people on the beach
9:33 Calvin Klein Secret Obsession (2008 - I clearly didn't check the year for this one)
10:10 (Beyonce Heat)
10:35 Too hot to handle advertising... sheesh
12:45 Bonus (or fail on my part...): Davidoff Cool Water Woman (1996)

Extra info on CK Eternity you might be interested in:
Anecdotally, I've heard reports that the CK Eternity bottles made in the USA and those made in Spain smell quite different. The bottle I sampled is from a US batch. The US batches are supposed to be more floral and more feminine smelling, those made in Spain are reported to smell more aromatic and more masculine. I have no idea if this is the case but I've seen it written several times on different pages so I thought I'd mention it!

I love that you're mentioning some older scents! We don't hear about them enough, it's all about the newest and most expensive, lol.
Yes, I don't think I'll ever be someone who constantly buys new releases. I don't have the budget! I enjoyed trying these!
RL Romance has such strong memories for me and really captures the era. One of my best friends in high school wore it all the time and I'll always think of her when I smell it. I was always a Gap Dream kind of girl back in those days. The school hallways all had a sharp floral clouding them. By the time I got to college it was gourmands galore. Fragrance has fashion trends just as much as clothes, hair, and make-up, but with it being so closely tied to memory it is an even more powerful indicator of the times. As people get older they tend to gravitate towards the type of scents that were popular when they came of age, which is why there are a lot of heavy powdery florals that may be written off as "grandma" scents. Now 30 years out from the 90s I'm sure some of my younger coworkers may be thinking I smell very middle aged. LOL.
That's so true! Fragrance definitely follows fashion, the trends are clear to see when you look back and try fragrances from particular eras. I am already struck by how 00s the fragrances that I wore in my 20s smell. When I went back home recently I retried a few things that I had sitting around back home from the 90s and I decided to use them up. I was struck by how heavy I felt a lot of even very teenage marketed, relatively cheap perfumes smelt.
I found RL Romance really distinctive. It's strangely light and almost aquatic feeling but also heavy and floral at the same time. Thanks so much for watching and for your really interesting comment!
I recently ordered davidoff cool water as a nostalgia scent. I also ordered its flanker sea rose. My sea rose came in already and it truly is a beautiful scent!
Aah, I have seen that flanker but not smelt it. The notes look good! O hope you enjoy both of them when the other one arrives. I was a bit disappointed that the bottle that I bought was in such bad shape... anyway when I went back to try it in the shop, it smelt very refreshing and fruity. Thanks for watching đ
@@dr.claire.perfume You should try to repurchase it elsewhere. I watched your collection video last night and because of you I now have Versace Vanitas on my list :D
Hello lovely. I do love LancĂŽme Miracle, itâs such a beautiful one. I used to love the magazine pullouts đ you definitely got the smell of the pages too. My friend used to wear Cool Water, it brings back so many memories of the good old days. This is such a great video. Thanks for the mention â€ïž
Yes Miracle is lovely! My mum would get so annoyed with me, I used to rip out the pages with fragrance samples on from all her mags! đ€Ł Cool water was a lot fruitier than I'd imagined. Thanks for watching đ
I like cool water , romance is beautiful fragrance đ„°
Yes, cool water is a great cheapie! Romance is a classic đ thanks for watching đ
You are so thoughtful in the way that you described eternity! It can totally be too much for a lot of people. There are some days I can barely tolerate it and other days I enjoy it. I get it!!!
Yes, I think I will keep trying it. Eternity tips backwards and forwards on my like scale... I'm thinking to spray it further away from my face đ€Ł
Eternity was my best friendâs signature scent and I love it for that!
It's very distinctive, I can see it as a signature scent for sure.
I remember smelling cool water women years ago and I really liked it ,hubby does love the menâs one and I love it on him ,both amazing fragrances đ€©this review was awesome đ€©
I really liked cool water woman, it seemed just fresh and fruity. Simple but long lasting and likeable. I've not tried the men's one! I will sniff it if I see it! đ„°
You are so cute! Fragrances from 2000s are vintage! Ah to be 25 again! đâ€ïž I own Miracle and still pull for it.
I know, I was 16 in 2000. Doesn't seem that long ago đ Miracle is good! âșïž
They are amazing people Gabby and Veronica
Two very friendly channels for sure đ„°
I myself is on a journey rediscovering 90s fragrances. This was so fun to watchđđ
Yes, curiosity definitely got the better of my here. It's a rabbit hole! I want to try a few more đ€·ââïž which have you been trying / retrying?! đ

A few people have commented about True Romance, is it that one? If so, it seems to be a good bet as a lot of people seem to love it! đ
@@dr.claire.perfume , mine is the romance "always yours" havent tried the original romance but the bottle looks almost the same đ
@@rinsscentcloset47 aaah, never seen that one! Sounds like I won't find it either! Yes, definitely a rare one!
I used to love Ysatis by Givenchy, not sure if itâs still around, Polo by Ralph Lauren, Hanae Mori. Great video Claire! I really enjoyed watching! â€ïžđ„°đđ
I know the ysatis bottle for sure, but I've not tried it. I've heard a lot of people mention Hanae Mori, I've never seen it anywhere but CZcams. I think it might be more prevalent in the US and Canada than here...
One of my best friends in high school wore Ysatis as a signature scent.
I get soooo many compliments when I wear Calvin Klein Euphoria.
Iâm 28 and EVERY time older women ask me what Iâm wearing, theyâre genuinely shocked that Iâm wearing such an old perfume. They expect something newer and more niche.
Thereâs a reason that these perfumes have stood the test of time! They smell amazing. I LOVE romance and I loved the flankers even more, Tender Romance was my favorite but they discontinued it.
I tried Euphoria in store a few months ago and really enjoyed it! Then I had a project student with me in the lab and she was wearing it and smelt amazing and I recognised it đ it's a good one, I'm tempted by it đ
Romance I finished the bottle of, but I never got to try Tender Romance. I agree that there's a reason why these fragrances are still in production đ Thanks for watching đ„°
@@dr.claire.perfume Euphoria smells SO good about 10 min after spraying. It settles into a warm, comforting blanket. The orchid, lotus and violet are wrapped in the amber, musk and mahogany. And on my skin, the pomegranate comes through but in a warm, sensual way.
Iâm hooked! Iâve gone through 5 bottles and itâs one of my fav cooler weather scents.
Louisiana gets HOT in the summer and humid and sticky, so I usually avoid warmer notes during the hotter months.
Itâs affordable though, fragrance net has it for super cheap right now on their 37% off sale, so I think itâs worth it!! I liked it at first, but it wasnât until I made myself start wearing it that I realllllllly fell in love
It is really lovely and yes it's super affordable sometimes đ that's always good! đ„°
Euphoria was my signature fragrance for years. I have a trial size bottle of it. I need to revisit it.
Oh you like LancĂŽme Miracle đ I cannot wait now to wear my mini one đ€. Love how you described this fragrance
Yes, I really liked it! I have now finished the bottle, honestly there wasn't that much in it, but yes I would even buy it again, I really think it was the best of the bunch here for me!
Love the ringlets curls! Very 1910s/1920sđ
Eternity is such a pleasant scent
Yes I've been told more than once that I look as if I belong in another era đ I honestly don't think I could look modern if I tried...
Eternity is one I'm still trying to get on board with. I hadn't realised just how similar the carnation note is to cloves đ it's a very interesting fragrance though, sometimes green and herbal and cool and sometimes soapy and spicy and hot. What a journey!
Thanks for watching â€ïž
Amazing sharing đ keep connected đ€

Loved this, Claire!!!đđđ
Thank you!
Hi lovely Claire! 80âs and 90âs fragrances are so nostalgic for me. I really enjoyed so many beautiful fragrances from that time. â€ïž
Plenty more for me to explore then! đ Thanks for watching đ
Stunning Video!!!!! Loveeeeeee every single one of them. And I agree absolutely with The Beauties Veronica saids and The Fragrantician . They have a Phd on Fragrances all jokes a side they belonge in a French Lab, creating a special fragrances. And Eternity summer have many but if you ca n get ur hands on the pink bottleđđ„°đ„°đ„°
Thank you! Yes those two are gems! I really do want to try an Eternity Summer, I think I might enjoy it more! I will look out for the pink one, thanks for the tip!
Love your eye look today, Claire. Very fall-inspired.
The notes you include in the description box are so cleverly written and cheeky. You're wonderful!
Yay Veronica and Gaby and Frances and Chantel and Paola! I love all those ladies!
"...patchouli...and the kitchen sink." Hee hee!!! I wore and/or smelled all of these before I knew there was such a thing as a "note," and I can't for the life of me reconcile my memory of Eternity with the notes listed. Cloves? Carnation? I just remember it being sweet in the background with something deep and something...80's? Eau de angst with just enough ennui to make it edgy?
"No, it's not a garlic clove. It's in this really hideous bottle..." Love it!!! I've not smelled the Obsessions flanker, but I'm intrigued.
I think that fragrances are like ideas; they have a moment in the collective consciousness if you will, and then things change and tastes evolve en masse and what was once popular becomes...well...poop. I don't think that's ALWAYS the case, but I do feel like there's something to be said for the fact that there are trends in perfumery that don't outlive the scents themselves, but there are people who outlive the trends? Or old souls who are still in the vibe of what once was? Like, that's only way I can really wrap my head around someone (anyone!) having any reaction other than nausea and horror to Shalimar and Samsara and Chanel No 5 and others of that ilk. Ick. Having said that, it's still a slice of olfactory history to smell these and to think, "Oh. This is what our "ancestors" smelled like when they were young." History of Scents should be an elective in high school or arts programs in post-secondary.
Thanks for the food for thought!
Yes for sure! That's a fab way to look at it, some people are archaeologists exploring olfactive history and some people are reinactors! I'm definitely a temporary archaeologist only LOL đ€Ł
Scent memory has definitely put me off aldehydes. I remember never wanting to go anywhere near my mum when she was going out and had scent on (generally Rive Gauche). I bet she thought that was an added bonus, I was a clingy child!
So funny, I fell in love with first 3 perfumes back in the days and I still have them and I wear them time to time. Yes, Eternity is nuclear and is my favourite of them. Thank you for this video đđ»
No problem âșïž thanks for watching!
Eternity is so distinctive! I would know it anywhere now đ it's definitely got something about it that makes me want to keep trying it... Signature scent worthy I think...
I love Laura Ashley no. 1. The original from the 90s. So classic.
I see Laura Ashley fragrances for sale on ebay occasionally and I've always wondered about them! Good to know that no.1 is a winner. Thanks so much for watching!
OMG đ± Eternity is the fragrance well known in the community as HAPPINESSSPARKLES signature fragrance LOL
Yes it is!!! âșïž Famous!!!
Thatâs my classic right there Romance
Did you wear that one? It's very elegant, I can see that!
I loooooove Miracle !!! đđđ
Best of the bunch here for me đ

Hi Nika! â€ïž
Hello Dr. Smith!! Looking forward to hearing your picks. Aaahhhh!!! That's me and Gabi!! đđđđ
Haha, yes it is! đ
I love Miracle !! just such a nice PINK scent .... :)
and you know how much i Adore Romance.. but yeah, it is heavy and not as watery light floral throughout the whole wear.. but it is so nice... that would be like a casual classy crisp white shirt scent for me....
Eternity (and Eternity Man) was my one of my Mom's favorite.. that one is really nice too.... I have been wanting to add that to my "Mom" collection.... but i am more drawn to her strong aldehydes.... :)
Your mom collection is growing! My mum only really ever wears ysl rive gauche, that is the pinnacle of perfume for her. Nothing else compares... She's 82 so isn't going to change now. Amazing to have a signature scent though. I am kinda jealous of those people who can love one perfume and stick to it.
Miracle feels happy and relaxed, glad I got to try it. I haven't yet found anything from lancĂŽme that I dislike... đ„°
I love RL Romance. I have a few vintage ones, like YSL Cinema and YSL Rive Gauche, and a couple more.
My mum's signature is Rive Gauche. I love the blue can bottle, it really stands out.
I wore my motherâs Eternity in high school. I bought myself a bottle in my mid 20s. Is smelled like lily of the valley to me and others.
Eternity is a classic isn't it? It was so many people's signature fragrance in the early 90s. âš
Hi darling I clicked on this one so fast when I saw your thumbnail
Haha! Fab thank you! đ„°
Cool Water for Women is nice.
I have a diverse collection, including my vintage scents. My favorites: EL Youth Dew, Mugler Angel, Revlon Fire & Ice, Dior Poison, Guerlian Shalimar, Coty Nokomis, Hard Candy Liquid, RL Safari, Dior Dune, CK Obsession, EA Green Tea, Liz Claiborne Realities and Paul Sebastian PS.
Ooh Revlon fire and ice is a classic and I'd love to retry Dune! I finished all of these and decluttered one, none were really exactly me, but it was fun trying them. I want to try some more 80s / 90s fragrances, they are window on the past.
@@dr.claire.perfume Totally understandable. Not everyone is going to like everything. Tastes change too.
Yes, tastes change massively! I do find it intriguing though when you smell something and you think, wow that smells 90s. I guess certain aromachemicals were just really in vogue.
Miracle und Lancome pour femme are both my signature scents, I love them both and I just don't find anything that could compete
Miracle is really pretty, I finished the rest of the bottle very quickly. I've not tried LancĂŽme pour femme though, thank you for the suggestion. đ
Neat video! There are a lot of vintage perfumes at Ross I've considered picking up but, I don't see a lot of reviews on them. I did try Obsession and wasn't a fan of it. Thanks again for a great video.
Yeah I'm wary of that one!! đ I definitely think there are some I will continue to avoid đ
Hey Claire! I love the way you have your hair fixed.
Thanks! I've since had some of it chopped off now, was a year since getting it cut... Learning to accept that I have curly hair instead of fighting it đ€Ł spent way too long wishing for straight, or at least not so frizzy, hair! Thanks for watching đ
And Iâve always wanted curly hair! LOL My sister has curly & mine is completely straight! Come on over and see me if youâd like to đ»đ
Great video! I enjoyed that you really tried to appreciate and understand the appeal of these perfumes even if they ended up not wowing you. I struggle with that when it comes to some older perfumes. I bought some Calvin Klein fragrances recently (Truth, Eternity, Escape, Secret Obsession) partly for nostalgia's sake, so I loved hearing your take on a couple of them! I still enjoy Escape, having worn it in junior high, but the florals in Eternity still didn't work well for me. Looking forward to more of your thoughts on vintage fragrances, if you end up doing more videos like this đđŒ
I almost bought escape! I think I could really enjoy that one actually, it sounded appealing when I did the watery perfumes video. I don't know much about truth, my impression is that it's woody?
I agree on eternity. It feels quite heady to me. Maybe spraying further away from my face might be more enjoyable?! I'll keep these for now and keep trying them!
@@dr.claire.perfume I didn't enjoy Truth on first spray, pretty green and sharp, so I've tucked it away (with Secret Obsession lol) on a shelf to try another day.
@@ndo355 sounds like a good idea đ
My dad used to wear eternity, the man's version, it was his signature scent. I don't agree that carnations don't have any scent, at least in Greece they smell very sweet, heavy and deep but I actually like the smell of cloves, I even use them in my cooking. I haven't tried secret obsession but I wore the original obsession by Calvin Clein. To me it smelled like cinnamon which I adore but I remember one of my students asking me to open the windows because it seemed so heavy to him, covid free days obviously. To me a really 80s perfume is beautiful, by Estee Lauder, the original formulation. That's my definition of a beautifully made floral.
So everyone tells me! đ I only really smelt a powdery coolness from the ones that are here, but I never grew them so I've only smelt cut ones in shops. I'm warming a little to cloves in fragrance now, as long as it isn't too strong, it can be pleasant. I think eternity was popular with both genders, Calvin Klein had a massive hit with it. I've not tried the original obsession, nor beautiful. The only 80s perfume I ever had was le Jardin by Max factor when I was very small. I liked that one. My mum is a bit older than most mum's, she was 45 when she had me, so she wears rive gauche, I feel like I missed out on being exposed to many 80s fragrances... I've tried loads from the 90s now though, can you recommend any others? đ„°
Calvin Klein eternity and secret obsession yes! They really take me way back and are still beautiful to this day. Iv also used BeyoncĂ©âs Heat but sadly it wasnât my cup of tea. Nice complication Claire â€ïž
Did Beyoncé heat end up being one of the inspirations for you other uses for perfume video?! I was so surprised by that perfume. I totally see why so many people don't like it.
I never tried Calvin Klein very much until this month. The perfumes feel very distinctive but all very different.
Thanks for watching đ
Hi Clair! Enjoyed your video very much! I used to have Eternity, a gift from my husband. Thatâs how I got a lot of my perfumes as he knows I am obsessed. đI had to let go of it eventually. It was almost too much, very shrilly. And you described it so well! I am not sure if theyâre 80s or 90s but I can definitely recommend Pleasures, Jâadore, Organza, Amor Amor, and Amarige. I would say Pleasures and Jâadore spoil easily, so better to buy a mini or something new or at a discount store. Amarige has a very distinct unique scent that can be an instant love or not. Organza is very beautiful but extremely potent. Small dose is heavenly though, at least to me. đ§Žđ„°đŠ
I have j'adore, I actually technically decluttered it but my dad bought it for me so I kept the bottle and I occasionally respray it. The other day I wore it for the first time.since April and I actually enjoyed it... I filmed my entire collection video a few weeks ago and I am regretting what I say about j'adore now... My feelings towards it ebb and change!
I love tried amor amor too, I like that one! Pleasures I haven't tried, nor organza. I may have tried amarige but my memory is hazy of it so I will have to retry!
I know exactly what you mean about eternity, it almost hurts my teeth, shrilly is a good word for it. It definitely has something about it to make me want to retry it though!
Awwh! Husbands are great for that! Mine too has bought me a few perfumes. He's wise enough to know it's a winning present and that I always have a wish list! đ€Ł
@@dr.claire.perfume I used to avoid Jâadore, but then recently it has become one of my favorites for sure. I think itâs a Spring/ Summer scent. It blossoms in warmer weather. I put it on whenever I am not sure what to wear. Itâs luminous and sort of grounding at the same time. My husband also loves it on me. Strangely he doesnât love the super sweet stuff that is so popular now. I really want to repurchase Organza. I had it a long time ago now. Happy Fall! đđđŸ
@@natalinastella5144 happy fall to you too!
Retrying j'adore the other week in warmer weather has made me want to give it a second chance and "reclutter" it đ€Ł
You know what? I am amazed by those videos claiming to know what men love on women. Most of the time they claim super sweet gourmands are what men love. How annoyed would women be if men claimed we were all the same and that we only liked one scent profile on men? đ€ I think I'll credit men with being different enough from each other to have a variety of taste! It's so lovely and refreshing to hear that your husband likes something less "typical" â€ïž Rant over LOL đ€Ł

That was a great video. It's always strange thinking that one of my favourites Joop Homme is "vintage" over 30years old. I feel like I don't know too much about 80s ones and the 90s I do remember more but so many I've never tired.
Was interesting hearing about these ones, a bugger there was a dud but makes it fun doesn't it đ. It's weird to think what we smelt back in the day probably influenced subconsciously our tastes now
LOL you made me so curious about what the hell was so special about Joop homme that I went and tested it đ€Ł Spicy!
Yeah, I don't think I really tried much perfume as a teenager. I lived in the middle of nowhere so it was a 35 mile round trip to find anything more than Benetton Hot or So... Inspired. My mum also only really wore one perfume and I hated it... I thought all perfume was like that. I'm basically living the teenage youth I didn't have đ
@@dr.claire.perfume yea I can relate to that being from the Peak District, the smell of limestone and cows đ€Ł. Everyday is a discovery đ I think I need to go rediscover the classics.
Yea haha đ Joop Homme stays with you forever... Literally. I know it's not for everyone
@@scentedsnowdrops it wasn't bad but I don't think I smelt the magic either đ but maybe it's different on a card to skin... I often think I don't like perfume much at all on card. I always prefer to test on skin.
Living on a farm 5 miles from the nearest small town definitely made me want to try living in a city. I went to uni in Nottingham first time around and that was a shock. Shottingham at the time, but I think it's a little better nowadays. LOL I love the way Banksy did that piece of art at the end of the exact road that I used to live on, clearly in my honour đ. York seemed nice when I moved there but I only lived there for a few months and I didn't have any money so I felt like everything was for tourists and impractical and expensive. BEAUTIFUL, still love it! Not sure why I don't own it now. I need to try again. Have you tried?đ
I have tried it but again not for some time! Story of my life! So much perfume to sniff LOL.
Yes someone talks about R Romance
It's lovely! I tried a modern formulation in store a few months ago too, less oak moss in that but the DNA is still very much the same! Do you love RL Romance? Have you tried any of the flankers? Thank you so much for watching! â€ïž
Ralph Lauren Romance! My favorite!!â€â€â€ it is heavy:) I'm drawn to Rose:) evidently I like Oak Moss, not sure what the note smells like. I'm learning about fragrances . Thx so much!!đ
Oakmoss is the bitter, slightly green bit behind the rose. You will know it when you notice it, you can definitely smell it more in vintage bottles of Romance. I went and compared my bottle to a new one and I thought the formulation has been tweaked slightly. I checked Fragrantica and a few other people were saying the same thing, so I assume it's not just that my bottle is old, but that could also be the case!
@@dr.claire.perfume thx so much!!
Fragrances that come to mind from back of the day was Red Jeans from Versace and thereâs this YSL fragrance which comes in a blue (turquoise ish), black and white fragrance. My mum used to have those.

I always wanted those Davidoff fragrances because of the pineapple note in the early days of collecting fragrances (mainly celebrity & body shop ones đ) but after a while I felt they would only last 5 minutes đ
The pineapple is good! Crazy that it lasts on paper 3 days!!! Unsure on skin, must be much less, I guess only a few hours. I think most people say they don't last...
Romance by Ralph Lauren is one I actually have smelt and really liked it but my favourite is tender romance ( hard to find that one at a good price )
Yes I saw a bottle of that only the other day. Not smelt it but I've heard that it is very good! đ
@@dr.claire.perfume I would scoop that one up if I could find a good price ,or possibly a part bottle like you do
@@HappinessSparkles I definitely saw it for good deal too! LOL đ€Ł so many good fragrances!
@@dr.claire.perfume I might find a bottle while Iâm in Ireland đźđȘ
@@HappinessSparkles Indeed! đ
I love eden by cacharel and gucci rush, what do you think about this perfumes?
I have Gucci Rush, original formulation. I used to have two original formulation bottles but I decluttered one because I would never get to it. The original formulation is sooo strong! I think it's a really interesting perfume, really reminds me of a Barbie doll but overlaid with coriander. I would like to try the new formulation. I've not tried Eden... I've tried catch me, Lou Lou, yes I am, amor amor but not that one! Thanks for watching đ
@@dr.claire.perfume thanks a lot â„ïž i suggest you to try eden it's so powerfull as rush... I live yes i am too
What do you mean carnations don't smell? They are actually very fragrant! Could it be that you have a different variety in the UK? Strange...
The ones in the shops here don't smell at all. I heard someone in Canada say they smell very strongly. I've never grown them so I don't know whether there's some difference with the ones grown for florists here or not.
@@dr.claire.perfume Aww that's a pity! They are actually my favourite flower scent (not in perfumes, but in real life). I hope you will get to smell one, one day :)
@@alexsandra7173 I hope so too! I can't believe that they might smell like cloves!
Vintage perfumes scare me. Lol but I have been curious about obsession by Calvin Klein.
Thank you for describing Secret obsession. I won't buy it. I had Beyonce Heat and used it up. Might repurchase that if I ever miss that note profile. Heat used to give me a headache.
@@ScentedByMwendi I know what you mean about heat. It's got that foggy feeling. Same with obsession but that is way more boozy. I think I prefer heat just because I think the slight sweetness saves it a bit. I will use both up or declutter them but I won't repurchase for sure. Hope you are well. đ„°
I used this in the 2000s. I donât like cloves and it was difficult wearing this perfume. It was a blind buy. Not sure Iâm brave enough to do it again.
Every womanâs secret desires? đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł. No one knows what that is. Not even us women.
Cannot abide Davidoff CWW. I usually love fresh perfumes but I donât like this. I cannot distinguish notes enough to tell what note I donât like. I donât even like it on others and can smell it at 50 paces.
Yeah, I've been retrying Eternity and it's confirmed my initial thoughts, this is not for me! I thought the secret desires line for the secret obsession advertising was really odd too. I am unsure whether Cool Water Woman has been reformulated, to me, it smelt really pinappley but I don't think that is what most people think of as the most prominent note. I'm not running out to buy it again, I disposed of my spoilt bottle and consigned it to the perfume wardrobe in the sky. Thanks so much for watching! xxx
