I Would love a Video on how you voice the your chords (If there isn't one already). I feel stuck on using the same voicing (L:1-5 R:9,b3,b7) and looking for variations.
Theory behind this was making my brain itch so I dug into it, and I'd be really curious to hear other opinions. While this progression definitely has a minor "feel", I believe looking at this as in the key of Ab major makes more sense. It would then be a vi-V-IV, and the relative minor scale (F) sounds great. It was the Gb crush note that tipped me off, as it really didn't make much sense as a b2 and clashed over the Fm, but lends itself great over the Eb and Db (maybe since it's include in both of those relative scales). Granted I know "there are no rules in jazz", but figured I'd try to make sense of it. Just semantics anyway
Yoo Ed thanks for watching! Have you seen this one? It's my most up-to-date set up vid so far, will probably do a new one soon also! czcams.com/video/4OVuuUBsSs0/video.html&t
👏👏👏as always useful & interesting, but 1 question: is it possible to make your video in video a little bit quieter(generally)? You have such a cool nice soft playing style, it's sometimes hard to hear. Pls keep on making Videos 🔝
Since lofi went from Dilla digging Vinyl crates and playing an MPC to a bunch of white upper class hipsters playing Fender Stratocasters really awfully - why don't you just gentrifie it again and maybe do a bit of Death Metal to a marching band beat an be be like yea mate this is lofi - maybe put a really poorly programmed tape saturation plugin that eats 80% CPU on the master channel and get some kid off Fiverr to for £6 draw an anime version of you as Bruce Lee's son in the film the crow with moving rain looped in the background.
In within a minute of the upload! Coffee is on, great stuff ☕
Let’s gooo, I’m a jazz pianist and I really need to do more of this style. Great vid again!
