- Liberal Senator James McGrath says the Opposition wants an early election to "get rid" of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
"The Opposition is ready," he told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio
"We want to get rid of this weak Prime Minsiter, we want to get rid of this government who have allowed our borders to be softened and have allowed a cost-of-living crisis to take over this country."
This guy wants a longer term when all we want is to vote them out.

Their popularity is now LOWER as they have failed on every one of their major promises.
$275 lower electricity prices? NO, they are UP over $700.
Ease cost of living? NO, the cost of living had gone UP drastically.
Implement the recommendations of the Uluru Statement from the Heart? NO, he did not even read it and put forward a referendum that would have embedded RACISM in our constitution... and 60+% of Australians in EVERY STATE - including SA, Vis and NSW.
Improve electricity by making it greener? No, all he has done is make it more expensive as solar (only operates on average 30% of the time) and wind (40%) of the time, with some overlap.
Thus, ANOTHER electricity generation system has to be built and maintained, driving prices UP.
But unlike Green parties in almost every country in Australia, he refuses to use the one electricity generation sources that has been PROVEN to lower prices: NUCLEAR.
Albo is done.
His mismanagement of Australia makes him being voted OUT at the next election inevitable.
