‘Rumours’ Prime Minister may call for early election

- Sky News host Rita Panahi says there are “well-placed sources” indicating an early election has “been thought about at the highest levels”.
Ms Panahi’s comments come as rumours of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese calling for an early election have persisted.
“The interest rate situation in this country is a concern for the Albanese government - they were hoping for four or five cuts this year,” she said.
“That is obviously a huge consideration because cost of living pressure is already biting pretty hard.”

Yep - amazingly, the Conservatives hadn't even got candidates in place for something like a THIRD of the constituencies when Sunak called the election. Dutton should spend an hour or two looking into the Conservatives' woeful preparations for the election, and then make sure his party is better-prepared. Albanese won't be doing Dutton any favours when it comes to election-timing.
