omg yes! this was the first song that me and Krischna (the other violinist that started w me) played ever like an official concert.
I just started at a learning orchestra with a cello and have to accompany the violins through the piece :)
I'm playing it right now, it is my first concerto i;m really nervous
first piece, and first piece played in public, at the 5th grade concert, probably 1969.
I remember playing this when I was younger. I have stopped playing the violin and haven't play it in years and listening to this made me realise how I miss it so much :(
You can always pick up the violin again.
please pick it up again, and if you ever feel down, i advise you to watch other professional violinists or maybe master classes (they make me think out of the box sometimes), and they inspire me so much and motivate me whenever im down. it might sound weird that i get motivated by watching others play better than me rather than feeling down, but idk it just makes it more challenging and will make you want to like practice right now lol. i wish you the best of luck if you start playing again :)) we're all in this together hehe

I remember playing this when I was younger and I still love to play it now as it's so beautifully romantic and yet not too challenging :) Itzhak Perlman has a beautiful sound and this just makes it even better!

This was the first place I ever played that I was actually proud of. It’s been almost a decade since then.

In fact, all the peaceful beautiful violin music are all playability grades 4-8 level...because they are slow pieces and require good vibrato and bow control, not fast bowing since it’s peaceful and smoothing music....right?

I choose this to play as my concerto for our annual concert (really soon), and I am almost done, Yay! But also I just realized its ALOT faster than I originally thought soooo... I'm dead.
I know I'm kinda late to this and I hope the concert went well but just remember that everyone has their own playing tempo! It doesn't matter how fast you play it, but how beautifully.
I wont forget this song, I played it when I was in 2 elemental and one friend in that time died, this song remember's me to him. The sad parts, good times, bad times... I wont forget him. He played violin too. I miss him a lot, he was a really good friend. (we were friends since kindergarten)

I remember that this was the first real concerto I played 11 years ago. Those were the days.
I just finished book one of the Suzuki method, and I found this gem to play. I love it so much! That being said I started with his opus 36.For the beginner his music style yes very challenging. But he has such a great sensibility in his writing. I really enjoy this piece. The third portion it’s difficult because I’m not great at doing fast passages. But I am truly enjoying learning to pieces.
Im beginner and when hard practices gets me down sometimes I come back to this piece to revive myself Its very beautiful piece
All beginner violinists play this concerto. My son played the 1st movement when he was 5. Fond memories of the days and people gone. Brings tears to my eyes. If only I could go back and see my little boy on that school stage again.

Literally I played this exact piece as a beginner back in gr 4, it was played by my teacher when she was in the Royal Conservatory, and later taught me this piece when I was beginning... I’ve been looking for this piece forever and I’ve finally found it!!!

Reminds me of my violin classes with my favourite teacher. He later on had to move and i got put with a professor who made me hate violin and because of him I stopped. This gives me strong nostalgia...

I am playing since Novemer last year and I am learning this piece now beside the fiddle songs my teacher gave me -.- I love classical music more than jigs and I hope I can get through this until christmas, so I would play this on christmas evening :) I only have lessons every 2nd week so I hope it will work out. I think this piece is not so easy for beginners :) how long have you played

To me it feels like perfect "basics covered" piece to play. Like if you can play it well, you got the basics of violin playing. I wonder which year they learn this nowadays in schools
