Make no mistake guys. Large format tile slopes to a center drain are incredibly difficult.
It’s made to look easy here. But it’s a challenge to get right if it’s not your profession.
You can absolutely do it tho. Just don’t ever say “eh… we’ll sort that particular detail out on the next step.” You’ll back yourself into a corner that you won’t get out of easily.

One thing I figured out: the diagonal cut should be only for the tiles with either wall tiles on both sides or on no side. The once which have one side only i cut on the outer side about 15mm off center because the one wall tile brings then the grout lines optically back to center.
Sorry if you might not know what I mean but English is not my first language.

Do u have a editorial of doing the relief cuts on a curbless shower using a linear drain that's set toward middle of room?
My shower will b 6' long w a 5' linear drain the starts at the showerhead wall. I love ur design on this shower. But I'm thinking w the raised bath floor along the outside wall then dropping down level to bathroom floor that I could just cut a 12" narrow strip at the end of the drain so it mimicks the time in drain then just lay rest going up to outside wall.
Man I hope I described that correctly. I spoke to 5 business about laying it for me & all I got was what a bad design I planned... Wet bath bad, curbless bad, wall mount toilet bad,...

Nice job! I did one of these today. Templating for them with door skin is really fast and clean. That’s about a 15 Sq foot pan, no reason you should be charging 45 a foot for that. You’re giving it away. Price needs to be at least double that. We charge 60 a foot for regular pans.

Wow! That`s nearly what we are having very soon. The difference is only tiles are 1200*1200mm and 6mm thick porcelain. Is there any options to cut diagonally on a snap cutter, please? It seems to me, if diagonal gouts are smaller than regular ones, it would look better than thick diagonal gaps. Also, should this technique be used with 6mm porcelain (I mean three cuts and avoid one deep cut) to create relief wet cuts, please? And.. one more question- should we use different tile adhesive thickness or different size notch in comparison to standard 600*600*10mm tiles, please Is there any special approach for big format? Should we notch both surfaces- floor (wall) and tiles or substrate only? Thank you

I only say this because I care: At 7:15 when you have all the tile dust around your nose is kinda of messed up. Breathing that stuff in daily is definitely bad for your health. I'm an amatuer tiler who's done just the tiling for a couple houses, so I'm not breathing it in every day/ long term. I usually cut outside with some breeze, or use a sponge to gently allow some water to get a "wet cutting" effect. If you're a pro tiling and cutting potentially every day, maybe getting a high quality mask is a good way to go, but seriously man, don't let yourself get silicosis!
