“Gilman” did a great job holding on but Garrett is a different level
Pretty sure the same guy did this in 2014 in a Nashon Garrett final. Called the guy Megaludis and it was Delgado. 😂
Garret is a monster
Score finished 7-6 but this wasn’t a close match at all.
He definitely one of the fastest 133 pounders of all time
Well he used to be a 125 lb wrestler, but still. It’s hard to imagine with how good Nahshan Garrett was, he only won the NCAAs one time. And it’s not so much a Gilman case where he chocked in big matches where it counted, it’s just that he had a bunch of studs in his weight class, and it was much harder to win in his weight class. The guy that beat him the year prior, Jesse Delgado, I think both of these guys would give Spencer Lee hell, I don’t know if I’d say they would win, but they would give him a challenge
@@ianshue2890 true I remember their finals match back in 2014 I believe, Delgado is a amazing scrambler and I believe his style can definitely rival Spencer lee and I mean sea bass was able to breakthrough and take our Spencer twice in 2019.
@@ianshue2890 and Garrett is so fast he definitely gonna compete , he’s even give RBY big issues since he’s basically just as fast but longer
@@crimsonchin142 oh I didn’t even think about Garrett and RBY. Their actually in the same weight class, that could be a good match in freestyle
@@ianshue2890 freestyle I give it to garret like the Garrett in the video cause he’s stronger and just as fast. But in folk style RBY stands a chance since he’s a under rated rider
Amazing match. Garrett is quick
This a classic
Yes!!!!!!! yes!!!!!! yes!!!!!!!!! Thank you for posting this amazing match
Cory Clark vs Zane Richard Semi final 2016 plz!!!
6:06 yeah I think your talking about the wrong guy
Garrett doing all the work and gets called for stalling whatever!!
he voluntarily walked backwards out of the circle. so yah stalling
I thought so as well but when I rewatched it I could see the ref counting with him below the waste. So, I guess it's understandable.
You should read the NCAA rules that lay out criteria for stalling. Has nothing to do with successful takedowns
@@JHank-yb4jvtook him down 3 times. Clark just slapping garret when out if bound pushes him and forcing stalling calls? Stalling is when u dont take shots and cory took zero shots
Damn‼️ How bout Cornell‼️‼️‼️ Dake built quite the program there‼️‼️‼️
If Angel Rivera is one of the best refs in the NCAA I'm the friggin easter bunny.
3:25 didnt know thomas gilman was wrestling again
😂😂
You'd think the commentators would know the wrestlers in the finals names.
@@johnnybeefum Eh, it's confusing these smaller weights, they all are similar styles, especially those Iowa guys.
they switch shoes before the match or what
Caution grabbing gear ?
Terrible stalling calls
Garrett the only only chasing takedowns and he gets 3 stall calls? weird
This man cheating u telling me nobody saw that 💀
when? and who? i missed it
