I personally think Harry did the best at matching Zayn's style, but nobody compares to THE Zayn Malik. His voice was a unique and essential part to those the One Direction ot5 songs
Thatâs because Harryâs timbre is actually quite similar to Zayn. Zayn sounds exactly like Harry when he starts Little Things, so it was smart choice for him to take the part when Zayn left

In the end: Liam's high notes are underrated and he's so awesome honestly. But with Zayn it's just different and he's irreplaceable. All of them can do his parts but it's just not the same.

In the Night Changes, Zayn had this enchanting tone that fitted more of the storytelling narrative. You could literally feel the magic in how he sang. Niall's way was more like a serenade, also like an intro to a high school prom scene where the protagonist (girl) would be having that iconic moment of heads turning towards her dashing self. Liam's was more like painful nostalgia creeping in your veins, like the girl you loved would no longer be around you, either she rejected you big time or she already went to the clouds. All versions were great. Personally, I really loved Zayn's, because you could really tell that the line was made for him. It was enchanting, at the same time, how Zayn sang it--it was like being cuddled up in the cold of Christmas season. It's like there's a warmth there that's only between you and him. :)

I actually think Harry has the most dexterous voice in that he can copy many styles. He is the only one among all of them that can jump from rock to ballad to soul to country. He can copy the styles of different genres He doesn't have a rnb voice like Zayne though as that is the only genre he hasn't covered yet.
