well, I am new to one D and their voices, except zayn and harry coz i listen them. But now i got to know, Louis has that voice which brightens the chorus, Liam sings the falsettos, harry the in-liners like "yeah"s "oh"s, Zayn the high notes ofcourse and sometimes when he gets off the original song ig and sings his own additional melodies, and Nial is always with a Guitar. Is this the ryt way to differentiate bw them?

Yeah, Niall can play guitar but thats not the only definition of him. If you will listen albums from up all night to made in the a.m. you will notice how it transforms and its beautiful. I think Liam has the widest vocal range, Zayn's high notes are masterpiece such as his velvet chest voice, Harry's voice is vary flexible and strong, his high and low notes are amazing. Louis' voice is the most underappreciated and that's sad because even though its not that flexible and wide ranged, its still very pure and gentle. I red his interview from 2017 and I was so fucking sad afterwards. He said he knows that he is not the best in the band. But it's so not true. His songs are so emotional and honest. I think he still has a lot more room for improvement, but I would never say that he can't sing. His voice is so nice to listen to. He's great at displaying emotions. I bet he'd sound really amazing at his full potential. Plus as already said, 1D won't sound as good without him. Louis has always been my favorite 1D member and I really look forward to him showing his full potential now that he's solo.

Usually, people don't think of Niall as one who does high notes, but if you pay really close attention during their live performances, he actually does a lot of the highest harmonies with his beautiful falsetto. A lot of people don't realize that he even sings the highest harmony in What Makes You Beautiful. And it's pretty dang high.
The high harmonies in 1D songs don't actually go that high though. They just sound higher than actually are because Liam and Niall sing them in falsetto.
That's not a good thing necessarily, that's because Liam and Zayn were the ones busy harmonising and doing the hard work for the group to sound good and covering the notes to blend all the keys since Louis and Harry sing in very different keys

As someone who is super interested in harmonising, this whole video the only person I kept paying attention to was Liam, he literally was doing all the difficult harmonising and recognising which key was missing He literally does so many different notes in this clip, his range is huge For example to show exactly what I mean, listen to 1:18 Normally Harry, Zayn and Liam harmonise here, but Liam started to laugh and stopped and you could hear it didn't sound like a harmonised part, zayn was much higher and Harry lower, then 1:06 for comparison he's the one responsible for recognising which key is needed to harmonise Example 2 Hes doing the very difficult high key on his own here 2:23 Example 3 I literally have no words from his harmonising skills from 2:40 - 3:14 and his solo high note in night changes, its so beautiful He's the guy singing baby a little longer if you can't differentiate If anyone needs more proof he's by far the best at harmonising 4:13, he's keeping tempo and literally showing you whose leading, but this whole story of my life is Zayn and Liam
Anyone who studies music, or even if you don't study and just pay attention and listen closely you'll find a new level of appreciation for Liam and Zayn
I love how Liam really works with the other boys voices to make it sound as good as possible instead of trying to outshine them. Says a lot about him as a person i think (2:46 is a prime example)

I think that credit for harmonies totally goes to Liam. If you hear carefully all the falsetto notes are sung by him.. Zayn and Harry do the high notes and.... Niall and Louis do the lower notes.

Liam has said that Louis' parts are actually the hardest to cover because they are so chorus heavy, and he has such a big voice, even on the high notes. Notice that Louis doesn't have to slip into falsetto to reach those high notes, so he can maintain full vocal strength. That's part of what 'lifts' their choruses and makes them sound so big. He is an important part of their sound. He rarely gets appropriate credit for that.
Almost all these comments are about Louis. Yes he sounds good! But he doesn’t do harmonies he’s just singing very loud. The credits for the harmonies are mostly for Liam and Niall. You can hear Liam’s harmonies very well in a lot of songs. Niall doesn’t get the credit he deserves for his harmonies, he’s doing harmonies all the time and sometimes you have to listen closer to hear them but they are beautiful! And that’s also te reason you never hear Niall as the ‘main voice’ in the choruses. Harry & Zayn are great at harmonising too of course but i feel like Liam and Niall have a very important part in the harmonies!
yes true! i think Liam, Niall & Zayn are the ones doing the most important/difficult harmonies. And Louis & Harry are singing a lot in their normal voices (they aren’t doing the high harmonies) and that’s also the reason they’re the ones you hear the loudest.

Almost all these comments are about Louis. Yes he sounds good! But he doesn’t do harmonies he’s just singing very loud. The credits for the harmonies are mostly for Liam and Niall. You can hear Liam’s harmonies very well in a lot of songs. Niall doesn’t get the credit he deserves for his harmonies, he’s doing harmonies all the time and sometimes you have to listen closer to hear them but they are beautiful! And that’s also te reason you never hear Niall as the ‘main voice’ in the choruses. Harry & Zayn are great at harmonising too of course but i feel like Liam and Niall have a very important part in the harmonies!
yes true! i think Liam, Niall & Zayn are the ones doing the most important/difficult harmonies. And Louis & Harry are singing a lot in their normal voices (they aren’t doing the high harmonies) and that’s also the reason they’re the ones you hear the loudest.

OMG thank you! Finally. Yes Louis and Harry do sing really well and all but it’s Liam who does the harmony and he should have more appreciation . Also saw people saying Louis and Niall should have credit for the falsetto they’re doing but like they don’t sing falsetto it’s Zayn and Liam who sing falsetto. It sucks that people never give Liam the credits for what he does.
