    Amazing and thanks so much. A a tip to anyone trying to read the notes; its too fast in places but I slowed the video down to 1/4 speed in the settings and then its possible !

    Great! I learned to play this with a standard alternating bass pattern, but I really like your syncopated version. I'm going to give it a whirl.

      I sort of accidentally discovered the bass pattern one day and it brings so much life to the tune. I'm glad you like it! All the best with it.

      I don't have any sheet music for this, but the tune is very famous and if you Google "Hava Nagila sheet music" on Google images you will find it easily. Hope that helps.

    Do you have any tips for learning to play both hands at once? I’ve been trying to learn for a bit now and I can always play the individual hands perfectly, but when I put them together I can’t comprehend it.
    I used to play the piano quite a bit and this is much harder 😅

    this is an awesome tutorial! Just want to chime in and mention this is a Yiddish folk song to my understanding, describing it as israeli isnt super accurate. Anyways bless 🙏

      Thanks Piera! I'll put a note in the description box!

    • @justinshabtai
      @justinshabtai Před rokem

      @@accordionlucy Hi, Lucy. You can ignore her. This is a song of the people of Israel. It's definitely accurate to describe it as Israeli. "Yiddish" is a language. A creole language of Middle German, Hebrew, and Aramaic spoken by the Jews who fled from Judea/Israel to Central Europe after the Seleucid conquest. I speak both Yiddish and Hebrew and this song is not a Yiddish song, it's in Hebrew and does not have a word of Yiddish in it. It's actually quite inaccurate and misleading what she said. I would delete the note. All Jews are the people of Israel, regardless of where they're born. What the commenter wrote is as logical as saying a Greek American isn't Greek because they weren't born in Greece. Israeli, in terms of ethnic and cultural origin, is synonymous to "Jewish."

      The best way to learn as a beginner is to find a teacher. Don't quit until you've had some lessons with a teacher you like and trust.
