    Well for some reason I missed this video. Watched it now, and was not disappointed. Another great adventure. I felt the audio with the wind blowing hard, gave us an insight into how windy it was up there. For me, my 86 year old mum not well for a few weeks now. Getting phone calls from her early hours and ending up in accident and emergency for over 12 hours at a time and working next day, so not able to Wild Camp at moment, but throwing up shorts with jokes when going for a walk lol. It is what it is, and mum comes first. Hopefully get out there soon. Keep em coming Mr Glossop. It encourages us to get out there.

      Hi Steve, thanks once again for watching and commenting, so glad you are still entertained! I'm really sorry to hear about the ongoing situation with your mum, that is seriously tough mate. I hope your hikes out help keep you afloat physically and emotionally. Kudos to you for keeping the joke videos coming, laughter has a healing power all of it's own!

    Fantastic video Brian. This was a real adventure. The challenges of the weather always makes it memorable. Loved the location , extremely quiet and isolated. 👍

      I think this is one of those camps where it is appreciated more when watching the video back. I felt a bit disheartened on the plateau in that awful weather, but once we pitched up it made up for it big time, especially the walk back in the morning. Another stunning camp and so glad you were there to enjoy it with me mate.

      Cheers Fraser! They are the band that keeps giving despite the fact they are no more, I love the melancholy of Mark Hollis's voice.

    Another great but very cold and wet looking camp! Couldn't hear your chat above the music very well but, very atmospheric!
    Beautiful scenery and interesting find on your way down. Do you know what it was? Great camera work as always Bri.

    Great video Bri.👍
    I went exactly the same way up Kinder last week (to be published next weekend), i.e. Up the Nab, then Golden Clough way. You would have walked past the 7 minute crossing on your route which leads you over the interior to Blackden Clough on the 'northern edge' near Seal Stones. I'm not sure from the video if that's the route that you both took?
    It's good to see that you're now using a proper wild campers stove mate.🙂
    Also, around the 34:30 mark, is where I camped last week.👍

      Cheers Steve! I need to catch up on your last two vids, I'll leave a like and comment as always. Good info about the area there, thanks for that. The hike up was challenging, especially in the wind, rain, and sleet, but we ended up in a very good sheltered spot. It's so easy to get lost up there on the plateau!

    Good stuff Brian 👍🏻 McEwan's champion is certainly a wild campers dream beer....it certainly sends me off to sleep, unlike any other beers and you don't have to carry many 😂. Hopefully I'll be out again soon, I came down with something after last weekends bothy overnighter in Snowdonia, probably that pesky cryptosporidium 🤢I'm just recovering now, it's taken a week. Nags 1577 is a nice ale at the nags head 👍🏻 I'm with you on electric cars.... absolute con that they're "environmentally friendly"....was that air wreck a dragon rapide?

      Thanks mate, appreciate your comment 👍 sorry to hear you've been ill. it sounds nasty! Both those beers were very enjoyable and tasty, it makes a big difference to get one in before the hike, makes me feel really positive. I've had a little look online for info on that wreck, but I can't find anything in that area so far. There are books on the subject, I may buy one. Take it easy, my friend, and hope you get out for a camp soon.

    I think you could have saved the wreck location using What Three Words, don't ask me how,.Good tent chat.Years ago there was a farmer converted his car to run on chicken shit.

    Nothing says 'I am a Bell End " , better than driving an Electric car and second to that is not putting all your Down gear and spare clothes in a waterproof stuff sack 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry Tim but you need to invest in an Exped pump sack/stuff sack they are brilliant for compressing all your soft warm clothing and then you can ditch the Rucksack Cover and be confident your gear will be dry when you arrive at camp .....thanks for the entertainment ;)

    • @Glossopwildcamp
      @Glossopwildcamp  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Lol! Yes, good advice. Thankfully my down gear was in a plastic bag, but I need to get a waterproof sack for my sleeping bag. Always learning mate 👍

    • @Olan...
      @Olan... Před 5 měsíci

      Aye ;) My preferred method is to put all my dry gear ( Spare socks , Base layer set, spare Hat and gloves, down jacket and down trousers ) inside my sleeping bag first then sqish the life out of it inside the Exped Snozzle/pumpsack then you have loads of room to get the remainder of your kit inside your pack instead of it being strapped to the outside and making you look like a refugee and potentially losing or damaging it @@Glossopwildcamp
