Please send thoughts and prayers for my thumbs.... Enjoy! A massive thank you to www.luminsworkshop.com/ for supplying the EVA foam for this build! MistaGG: / doubleomichael
Toss a coin to this man and pour him an ale! Dear god I am impressed! Your work Is absolutely stunning and your patience with this build is phenomenal! As a cosplayer I have learned a lot from you and I hope you realize how special you are! You've truly got a gift man!
Yo I love Mista GG. You and him are some of my favorite youtubers. (Btw, the amount of effort you put into your cosplays is amazing. The end result always reflects that)
You are ASTOUNDING. Such a straightforward, well explained tutorial and I enjoyed watching you making this. It looks fantastic and I can't wait to try (mine will probably not look quite as good!)
Yeeeeeeeesssss finally I can start on the chest armor. I followed your tutorial for the beavers and guards, but I was waiting to by leather and finish them until I figured out the chest piece. Awesome, amazing job.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day, thank you for all we have. I ask that you be with us this coming weekend, and I ask you be with Chris and his thumbs. May they share a quick recovery. In Jesus name we pray, Amen. Your doing great Chris, Keep it up!!!
I love it. I would have been likely to glue a piece of fabric to the back of the EVA and connected the closure to that so there was no raised overlap via the velcro. It looks really good though!
Good work, Chris! Just a suggestion, you could try checking out the 3M Dual-Lock stuff. It's like velcro but a lot more tenacious and can withstand more beating. Cheers!
As far as the front upper torso portion of the costume, is it one piece? OR did you make the front torso piece, the "strap area" that goes over the shoulder, and side wrap around pieces separately then glued them together? Thanks for the help! the build looks awesome!
Awesome creation and a very cool video. I started working on the design of my Geralt armor a couple weeks ago sizing and sourcing foam and i ran across your page. Although in your video i see you glue, then push in the grooves of your leather AFTER you trimmed all your excess material around the piece? Did you run short on the edges and just hide it with the weather strip? im using my same leather fabric to do the trim and glue/stitch it on for a thinner look. Also did you find any places over 100cm in any dimension for sheets? i'm 193cm tall and a little husky, wrapping around for me might be two pieces LOL. but i can make the multi pieces, glue them onto the fabric, then bond the foam edges together behind the fabric and that should hold. Lastly, how is it holding up? You go to any conventions and spend all day in it? is the fabric and foam staying together? Cheers from Oregon, USA!
Hi Chris I'm trying to workout what type of rivets you have are they double cap rivets ? Also do you have a video of how to build the the bicep pads ? Templates etc ? Cool build buddy followed your captain America infinity war costume any help would be helpful best regards Kevin, UK 🇬🇧
you should really do every armor panel with the Vinyl by itself. just glueing one segment on, pushing Vinyl into the groove, then do the next. With Glueing the Vinyl onto everything first will create stress points in the grooves where you rub the Vinyl in
Hi Chris. I know it's been a year since you've done this project, but could you answer a question for me? I am from America and do not have a store that carries the Sika brand adhesive you used. That glue seems stellar. I have looked into ordering it, but with shipping from Australia I can't get it for less than $100. Can you recommend an equivalent glue that might be more universally available?
Looks great. Do they ask you to do conventions? The cosplay people they get here in Tampa are not really ones that are very popular. Tampa Bay Comic Con used to have the best guests (3 - 4 Game of Thrones guests, several Walking Dead, Star Wars, ect.) now it seems it's one good guest if we're lucky.
Someone: "What did you do Today?"
Me: "I watched an Australian put a couple hundred rivets into foam."
Someone: "Again?"
Me: "Yes."
he shouldnt say "the butcher of blaviken" too much. henry cavill may appear out of thin air and punch him in the crown jewels
I'd toss a coin to my witcher to see that. Sorry, Chris.

Henry himself would be damned.
The thought process and organization in your plan of attack is so inspiring.
Chris... I honestly think this is some of your most phenomenal work!
It's SO satisfying to see the finished piece in all it's glory! Can't wait for the entire cosplay 👍👍👍
Well done for sticking with it man 👌 looks OUTSTANDING!! can't wait for the finished product 😉👍

I know the feeling... or lack of feeling in you’re thumb/fingers, usually takes a few months to get feeling back after sewing .

hey man, it was amazing, I learned a lot watching your videos, I just started cosplaying as a bucky, kind of inspired by the crow
I love it. I would have been likely to glue a piece of fabric to the back of the EVA and connected the closure to that so there was no raised overlap via the velcro. It looks really good though!
Great Job man!!

Amazing work! im in the process or making my own by following your tutorials. what is that tool called that you are sanding the foam with?
Your insane man, what a beast 😅🙌🙌🙌🙌
Good work, Chris! Just a suggestion, you could try checking out the 3M Dual-Lock stuff. It's like velcro but a lot more tenacious and can withstand more beating. Cheers!
Might risk ripping the foam if theres too much hold

Have you thought about doing a venom cosplay
I would love to get to this level of cosplay
You able to drop a link to the contact cement you were using?
Love the Beetlejuice shirt!

can u do the dracula untold dragon armour???? i really loved that one
Will you be making witcher swords too?
How thick was the eva foam? And what pants did you use?
Sorry for the questions. I really want to make this. If I may.
Is there a way to download the pattern you used?
Do you offer the patterns somewhere?
Do you have a template available for purchase for this?
hey do u have the templets still 3 yrs later i could get them from u .
Who else wanted him to put it on
Would the Freddy bust in the background be illuding to a future video?
Tried using the contact adhesive and it wouldn't hold the shape of the grooves, no matter how hard I pressed down or held it there. Any suggestions?
Dooooope 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Well Ubisoft does that with Chris at times
