Why the hell didn't they mention Waddy Watchel - the incredible guitar player who was ACTUALLY playing all the guitar parts in the film?? That was, in fact (IMO) - the only redeeming thing about this joke of a film.
I think the song if 6 was 9 was about him bein left handed...everything reversed
The problem with movies is they think they need to make a movie about everything and everyone these days. There was no need to make a movie about Hendrix. There is always an element of fiction cos nobody knew Jimi inside and out nor did they know Johnny Cash that way. Watch this space........Prince movie on it's way. Fuck that shit. Jimi was a top of the pile artist. You don't need a movie to know that. I want to hear Hendrix not some poor facsimile.
God did his Jimi movie suck. Andre should have read the script first before signing on to do that complete fictional piece of crap movie. To anyone who knows anything at all about Jimi, that movie was a joke. None of the characters were recognizable as the actual people they pretended to be, including Jimi. Just a horrible movie.
I think Andre did the best job he could do in his surroundings. They really do need to make a new one. Really pissed me off on a lot of scenes. Cringy as well when they try to throw some of his quotes in there. Ridiculous.
