Thank y’all so much for gettin me out that day I didn’t know how I was going to get the boat out! Y’all rock! Tellin everyone I know to come watch your channel!
Was that a free tow out ? Just curious.
@@ajaj6784 Highly reduced price but they still pay something
@@ajaj6784 No way he’s doing these for free. If I had to guess it was a minimum of a couple hundred bucks. A drop in the bucket for someone driving that truck and boat. Well worth it.
I want to get stuck just for a shirt, but I have a off-road Jeep XJ so I will have to work at it.
@@infesting i’ve always wondered about the pricing too. Not sure why they don’t disclose that on the show. It will definitely add a lot of interesting perspective and content to each rescue. Certainly there is mileage computations as well as how much time on site extracting the vehicle, and all sorts of variables. There’s no way that there is a flat 200 or $300 rate of getting you unstuck. Now these guys that they randomly roll up on who are stuck, I would imagine that some of those they do pro bono, but some of them Have to be paying something. Anyway, my vote is to disclose the costs. Of course Matt may not want that disclosed to the IRS since I’m assuming this is a very heavy cash business. And I’m not passing judgment, I would do the same thing.
I like how Matt says, "I have an idea" then Matt gets in the car and Rudy starts pushing. I noticed the idea did not involve Matt pushing. It's good to be the Dad.
Whichever one of Matt's team decided to bring along MORR magnets to cover up the license plate instead of having to keyframe a blur into it later, you're a genius.
There's just something funny about getting a boat stuck in the desert.
That's what I was thinking.
Yes it is 🤣

I’ve grown up out in the Mojave Desert it’s actually a really average sight to see boats randomly in the desert
@@mybackhurts7020 I lived in the Antelope Valley Palmdale area, and spent a hell of a lot of time on quads and bikes in and around Red Rock and Jawbone. Boats? Never seen one out there. Get out of that before you get it stuck ! hahahah :')
I think it was more of Rudy being pissed off that is little brother could have easily got the Jeep stuck trying to drive over to where the Corvair was stuck. Why some network has not put matt and his crew on TV is beyond me. I literally watch for hours great entertainment no BS from real world. Just wholesome clean family fun keep loading the videos!
If you put a producer on the scene they might be able to pull one customer in a day.
TV contracts usually ruin reality tv with drama and scripts if Viewership fluctuates. Matt does not worry about viewership. he just does his job and we enjoy watching it after a long day of work. (with TV, the audience is not always targeted. on youtube we can subscribe or ignore. but on TV you cannot ignore it and people complain. thus TV Viewership data ruins a lot of wholesome shows)
Believe it or not, Pawn stars on History was a wholesome real show before scripted drama ruined it.
Tv networks need to stay away from Matt and the crew. Modern tv ruins everything it touches.
I’m wondering the same thing it does not matter if it’s a video of them working in the shop or recovering a vehicle they are just so entertaining!
Just wholesome clean family fun, and helping others,, with NONE of the agenda pushing that hollywierd so currently embraces
Every episode is an online course in engineering. The laws of physics never change, Matt proves this every time.
It still blows my mind that the Corvair out there rescuing Vehicles everyday when it just sat beside a garage for probably 30 years being one of the most uncapable rescue vehicles to the most capable rescue vehicle...

'an ounce of momentum is worth a ton of traction'.
Indeed. I once got the John Deere and trailer with 16 big round bales on stuck in a massive bog, going up a hill. I thought we’d never get it out - but with enough momentum and a long rope, the little David brown 995 got it out!

I like that you cover up peoples license plates because state hate is a very real thing. Usually the worst offenders have never even been to the state they hate on. I've met and heard people that bash different states from all around the USA, depending on where they live, seeking to have some false superiority over others but it all boils down to one thing. State hating is unpatriotic. Hating states is hating your country. We all have our preferences because the USA is big and diverse enough to offer choices and preferences. I love that you don't cut people down for getting stuck from where ever they are from. Thank you for sharing!
Rudy throwing the rock under the tire 🤣🤣🤣
Matt, you're going to have to design a wheeled skid that you can connect to the unhooked trailers' tow hook receivers, that will allow you to connect and drag using your kinetic. Then patent and sell it worldwide...you're welcome =;-))
Or something like a snowmobile ski to glide over the sand...👍
Wa thinking the same thing
Maxtrax, and probably others, already sell this.
cant make it too easy if you charge by the recovery per hour
Anyone else actually sort of Expect That now? Mostly since Rudy said "it's a horrible idea". Other than it being mostly uncontrollable.... what could go ... oh ... wait...
I just came across this video... immediate subscription. I LOVED this.
Back in 1965 I did the same thing using a piece of parachute harness I still have, I pulled 10 cars back on the road between Sumter, SC and Goldsboro, NC when it snowed, using my 1954 Ford.
From one old tow truck driver to another, when possible in a situation like that try 90 degrees when booking back up to the trailer. Your pivoting one set of wheels out of the hole at a time.
Damn, that's a great idea! Gonna have to remember that.
He also seems to forget about winches way too often. A good anchor in this situation would have been difficult for sure, but enough rope to that Cummins and it would have been a piece of cake. Great content though! Keep it up 👍

I have an almost identical boat, it’s closer to 5,000lbs than 2,000 LOL. No wonder it wouldn’t move!
what no way
You should make a "skid plate" to fit on the trailer jack and then use the "Y" harness to grab the trailer with the rope.
@@atubebuff There are these guys called "all4adventure" in Australia and they have something like that. It's a big giant wheel they attach to the tongue and are able to launch their boat in the bush with two vehicles.
A long time ago in the UK off-roading, I was a passenger in a Land Rover that was trying to pull another one with a kinetic recovery rope. We shot off optimistically (forwards) the rope tightened up throwing us against the seat belts, we stopped on the springyness, the driver pressed the clutch pedal (manual gearbox ) and we rocketed backwards out of control. Really one of the funniest motoring experiences I ever had. We did eventually when we stopped laughing 'got them out'.

Now THAT is a fun way to dig a hole! ❤️🐞
💥💥I promise to never unhook my trailer 🤣
Man, the Morvair is probably the most badass thing I've ever seen. The interior is amazing.
In Australia when no trees are available to winch from we would dig a pit, place the spare wheel in it and attach the winch to it, then winch our vehicle free. Works like a charm.
I did wetlands work on the east coast for a long time. It involved alot of 4 wheeling in wet, swampy areas. We had a saying, "were you 'stuck' or 'inconvenienced'?" What's the difference? Well, I'm glad you asked. "Stuck" is where you had to call for outside assistance. "Inconvenienced" means you could extract yourself without someone else's help..... lol.
Well this is when you need the banana up an running Matt!
gettin that big ol motor in it i cant wait
I got my 1988 Trooper stuck. I got my 2009 Grand Cherokee stuck. Everyone gets stuck. It's how you react to it that makes a difference. Nice, nice job as always. Thank you.
Matt, You like to think outside the box. You had two 4x4 trucks and the Morr stuck with the boat trailer. USE THE CUSTOMER'S 4X4 AND THE TOW ROPE TO YANK OUT THE MORRWITH THE BOATRAILER!!!! You know it would have worked (The yank-em line is the key!).
That music at the beginning was perfect for the video!
Lets not ignore how good the morrvair sounds 🤘🏻
Matt, You should consider getting a set or even two sets of Maxtrax my friend! Keep them in the back of the Morrvair. If you had one in front of each tire, possibly even just the back tires, you would have gotten that boat right out without needing to call for a second rig. They allow you to get traction while avoiding digging in just long enough to build the momentum needed for the pull. I spent 5 years in the deserts of the middle east and Maxtrax are an essential piece of kit. Love your channel, tons of fun, and a great crew!
He made a video once where he explained the difference between the sand of the desert and the sand around Sand Hollow. The sand in Sand Hollow is so soft (just like you would get in a sand blasting gun) that any traction will barely make any difference, because you can't get enough momentum to pass over the traction board without sinking right after the board again. Your best shot at not getting stuck is obviously big tires and not with a to aggressive thread, as less weight as possible and if you get stuck and have water nearby you can just get the sand wet and it will considerably improve the traction. When it rains (not to much) those trails are good to go with a lot of vehicles.
He's already been sent a set of them. Just refuses to use them
@@etiennebimier273 That's why you have multiple sets so you get to build some momentum. You're also then not burried to the frame, which also helps.
Never unhitch the boat, I think I heard that somewhere before. Need to put the word out. Of course is someone wants to try on their own they will unhitch the boat to reduce weight. You just got to love that sand, very few people down know how to drive in it. Great recoveries once again.
Been watching for a while, I've noticed loose trailers aren't that common but do occur. Maybe make a sled with an adjustable hitch? Mental picture I'm getting is basically a Trailer Tug(name brand of a type of trailer dolly) with 3 small, wide skis instead of it's 8" wheels. You'd be able to shackle either the winch or the yankum to the Tug where the handle pivot is and it's tripod design seems like it would be stable enough with balanced skis.
You know those max tracks you bought for the last job😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂
they work well in sand
@@karlschwaber7006 that's the idea launch it off them need a skid so you can sit the jockywheel on the deck so it doesn't dig in and then you could do kinetic launches for shits and gigs
@@ashleywright1991 I used mine on a stuck taco truck. After 5 minutes of digging I put the boards under the rear wheels (would have preferred the front but no locker) and the truck jumped out. It was rather cool.
"We'll dig a hole"
Me: expects shoveling. Got something better instead.. :-p
always amazing...
It doesn’t take much water along the wheel tracks , then walk along them to compact them , and you can drive out in two wheel drive. No matter how deep and dry the sand just don’t spin the tyres. Ps remove the sand from the tyres make a ramp fill in tyre tracks then use some water and walk it in to compact the tyre tracks the n drive out .

Well, in defense of Matt, you didn't get the Morrvair stuck. They did, by unhooking.
Love the videos!
I was in the Southern California desert several years ago and came upon some guys who had a rental Ford E450 based box van with dualies pulling a 5000 lb toy hauler. They were stuck in bottomless sand. My vehicle was a 4WD Ford E350 based camper van weighing about 9500 lb. The rental box van was 2WD. They had worked so long trying to get unstuck that the back end was way down in the sand. They were also in a turn. I have a winch on my van but couldn't get a straight pull because of the surrounding terrain. We pulled the combination to the point where the box van was up out of the hole. Sometimes I was pulling the front end of the box van sideways. In this case it did make sense to disconnect the trailer and I got the box van out and onto solid ground. Then I came around to the side of the trailer and used the winch to pull the tongue sideways and rotated the trailer 90 degrees from its original heading. What made it a bit tricky was that the tongue jack on the trailer was just a pipe with no pad or wheel on it. So we used a shovel with the blade under the tongue jack to act like a skid. While I was pulling with the winch one guy held the handle of the shovel to keep it in place and another cleared sand from in front of it to keep it from digging in. I had to reset a couple of times to get a better pull angle. In each case I tried to find a big rock that I could pull one of my front tires up to to give me some resistance to just pulling forward. After I got it pulled around I then pulled it forward enough to get it out of the hole they had dug. I then used their hitch in my receiver and was able to hook my van up to the trailer and pull it out to firm ground. All told it took about 4 hours to get them out. By climbing up onto high ground they had managed to talk to a tow service who told them they would come out and look at it for $800 but did not promise to get them out.
bla bla bla nobody cares
Thats awesome
Cool story, but I bet your winch doesn't sound like the Corvair.
It's honestly awesome seeing you doing soo well killing it making that bread!!!!! Whips are clean and fresh and on point looking forward to new a more things to come from your guys!!! Maybe another build??
I have a very old land cruiser (1994) I live in Saudi Arabia and I’ve never had problems with getting stuck in the sand although we have tougher sand dunes. I’m not saying I’m the best driver but I think the car itself plays a big role when it comes to performance in the sand. Many people seem to struggle with modern cars although having stronger engines and lift kit, don’t know why!! Is it the weight ?
Nice video guys and thanks for helping people.

when the morvair was digging you could of connected the winch line on the callers pickup and pulled yourself out with the boat trailer.. great job guys sand is always tricky
