They are ruining Good Times for a whole generation 😢
This generation wasn't gone watch the original anyway they don't got no respect for older stuff
@@imperialstatswe do. We just don’t care about this one. You need help and to move on
Seth McFarlane? Yeah I trust him to capture the African-American experience🙄🙄🙄
That old guy sounds like a clown “atleast they giving us something” nah we ain’t moving like that in this Gen baby
They’re also making the Evan’s family look Ratchet, which they were FAR from! They were a loving close knit family who made the best outta the hand they were dealt! But they stuck together through it all!
That show looks like it was made by David Duke.
It's mardon day black face 👀

damnnn
17:32 I guess Uncle Ruckus missed the trailer and the point of the outrage. The pushing of negative stereotypes is horrible. If they re-made Crouching Tiger with all white showrunners and had them eating pets, the Asian community would instantly shut that mess down. Why would you be against black people wanting a better representation of themselves?
I'm glad somebody else peeped Uncle Ruckus (no relation) too. He didn't even bother to put a shirt on for his angry rant.
do any Boomers remember Thelma got married to a PRO football player and they writers decided to have him have a injury instead of moving them into a middle class life,, he turns into an acholoholie,,, SO YEAH they been giving the glimmer of hope (bootstrap) and took it away .. I guess I should be thankful they didn't make Thelma a Babymama!🤬
The funny thing about it, is the ratings will probably be high. Because the same people that act appalled will be tuned in watching.
I don't understand why Steph Curry is apart of this. He knows nothing about struggle because he comes from a wealthy family his father was Dell Curry one of the top NBA players in the League he just wasn't as high profile for those that know basketball... You know You know.
Seth MacFarlane is trolling black people. He's always making side-swipe bad jokes against black people. Family Guy should've ended years ago. Not funny!
Just don't affiliate it with Good Times. It's that simple. They could have created it as an original property. It should be offensive to anyone in the cast who was born before 1975
They need to CANCEL this mess!
Esther Rolle is flipping over in her grave! The petitions will be going up immediately after the 1st episode I'm sure and I'm signing all of them.
I am going to predict: When they air this reboot and all the people from the black community put in all their legitimate complaints and commentary about this problematic reboot, the producers are going to be super tone death when responding to the black community and they are going to get the black actors and actresses of this "reboot" (because I can't call it a show, Good Times was a show, this is an awful reboot) to talk down on us for not liking their show. And they are going to get the Ranada Shepard, because she is a woman of color but she is not black, to tell us we are misogynistic for not liking her reboot.
That’s exactly what’s happening actually 😅
Ok, I get it, but why do some people SCREAM AND YELL into the camera. Bro, blue sweater, we can hear you. You ain't gotta do all that.
Damn its depressing there are people screaming to give it a chance 😬
My white stepparent watched good times a lot, I always felt like to relate to me, but I HATED the way black people were portrayed in GT because my ass grew up on a farm in middle of nowhere USA and I didn't get it. This looks is worse than Cleveland or Boondocks, shows I also hated.
BLACK PEOPLE AREN'T A MONOLITH.
I keep lurking on all y'all's videos on this because I remember growing up in Arkansas when The Cleveland Show came out and so many of my black friends and peers hated it. But it stayed popular enough for multiple series, definitely not on the view of black from what I saw though
I love the Cleveland show!!! I was so upset when they canceled it
I'm not shocked that Seth Macfarlane is envolves in this abomination, but I would expect more from Steph Curry
I do agree that all we see is remakes. Most TV shows are a bit of the same thing with different setting, but it seems like more and more TV and movies are just complete remakes of old stuff. I can only assume certain people want to bring back a show they loved, but you can do that without using the same exact name and plot.
Edit to add - I think the idea that only black people are living in projects and low income housing is also a stereotype. That only black people can wind up in this situation? I have met a lot of people in my life and some of them include white people who grew up in projects because their parents were drug addicts, were dumped by their husbands who wouldn't pay support, etc. And they have troubles getting good jobs or sometimes had poor work ethics. To me they could have redone this series as a reverse Fresh Prince where some rich white people wind up in the projects because their dad lost all their money gambling or something.
This series is so disrespectful to the series! This bs is making the Evan’s struggle look like it was nothing, disrespectful to the people who were also experiencing the same struggles that the Evan’s family were, mankind fun of it! If I see it on CZcams i’m boycotting it!
People enjoyed Boondocks and Family Guy. However aren't taking to this. As the first guy explained and if you look up the original what it was about.
Lol I said the same thing. Why is this hated but boondocks gets a pass?
I feel like Cree was only there to make sure black actors were actually cast as the voices. And Carl Jones left during production. It seems like most of the black people they're using to promote the show, were tangentially involved. Who were the writers and animators?
It reminds of when Randy Marsh only wanted Token's dad to be in the pictures so he could say it was a black owned business. 😂
Hollywood is straight up lazy. Everything is a reboot, remake, live action, same ole black trauma storylines. Absolutely tired!
The Show is for people like me.
Respectfully, what kind of person are you? I just want to understand the demographic, is all.
Can’t wait to watch it!!! Comes out tomorrow!! Love Seth ❤
8:25 Gotta disagree with dude. Even if it wasn't 'Good Times', it would still be shit. Also Boondocks purposely used stereotypes to criticize then while Good Times to seem to glorify them and think it's inherently funny or accurate.
Drop Netflix even if you wanna drop in for a few months they’ll lose millions and maybe they’ll think about it next time
Absolutely not! This show looks disgraceful.
They do the same thing with squidbillies man
Carl Jones dropped out of this project early on. Don’t musty up his name with this trash! 🤣
🎯
It a look in the mirror this how yall be acting tho and looking
Yes nobody fucking cares what anyone wants… because things are relative and ART doesn’t owe anyone anything. The point of art is to create something and whatever people do with it or how they view it is up to them. This isn’t a fucking Subway where you can demand artists to create your own sandwhich. You don’t like it and you feel strongly about it, instead of making some bitchy tik-tok why don’t people create their own show, maybe it will do better. But this shit and this culture we all seem to be in where everyone has a some stupid opinion they feel that hey need to voice is not productive at all.
Y’all really in your feelings about a cartoon 🤣🤦♂️
I can’t wait to watch it tomorrow!! I don’t see the issue 👀
