- This week we're scouring my some of my favorite flea markets in the Lunigiana to see what we can pick up. I find a beautiful folding table in a top secret location near to my home, La Fortezza. Then it's on to my good friend Deborah, who shows me an incredible soup bowl (NOT A CHAMBER POT!)

What do Italians call "flea markets"? I've bought a house in Sicily that I need to furnish and have discovered "rigattiere" but those tend to be indoor shops.
There are many kinds of markets in Italy there are antique markets, second-hand markets and Mercato delle pulci and mercatino usato. Some of them are inside and some are outside. So the best thing to do is ask neighbors, friends. Then you have to go investigate. It is a process. Good luck. x Thanks for watching.
