The last solar flare that we experienced recently has definitely changed what happens around us. Amphibians and reptiles are acting different even. They don't seem to want to be out in the direct light for long anymore. They scurry away like something is biting them.
My neighbors were both out in the yard when it hits and they said that they immediately got fatigue, and nauseous.
Even the plants are acting a little weird. They are growing different and behaving a little different than normal. The differences are very slight but I am a very detailed person most of the time.
Why isn't anyone talking about this?
I understand that most people live in cities and cannot discern one thing from another, as they have no experience. I can't be the only one however.

Solar flares that occur frequently, are like a 4 year old girl punching you in the face. An enormous CME is like Mike Tyson in his prime hitting you in the face.
Luckily, the odds of a big one hitting us square on the chin are very slim. If it gets lucky, parts of earth will be Stone-aged for a while.

Solar Flares are quite literally one of the biggest threats to our survival in the modern world and our power grid is nowhere even close to being protected from the big ones. If a big one hits, like it did in 1859, which I am praying this one isn't going to be, then 90% of the population is expected to die of starvation. These things happen every few hundred years or so. The difference now is, we rely on electricity to survive. No cars. No refrigeration. No food. Nada.

Imagine that you're just scrolling on your phone in bed and all the power goes out. It seems that your phone suddenly died and you have to fumble to find the flashlight that also doesn't seem to be working either. The streetlights are out, and the only thing illuminating the city scape is a brilliant red display in the sky. From what you know of solar flares and the potential existential threat it is to our digital age, it slowly dawns on you that the world will never be the same. In an instant, we've been thrown back an age without any warning. I hope I never see the day we get a Carrington event level CME. Its not just the flare... Its the magnitude of an associated C.M.E. and the integrity of the earth's magnetic field.
And also, the polarity of the CME, the orientation of the Earths axis of inclination, the magnetic coupling of Earths outer EM fields to other celestial bodies at the time, the speed and energy of the solar wind, etc etc. It's not just the flare itself... But interestingly, it is worth noting the intensity of the geomagnetic response given the degree and scope of Sols energetic output. Indications have the geomagnetic responses becoming greater for lesser energetic outputs as time* has progressed. *Time as in respect to a timescale of the last 50-100 'odd years or so. And particularly the last 10-20 that we have had dedicated space probes tracking the data. (Until the raw data of most usefullness was stopped from being processed into readily accessible media and openly released to the wider public for general information purposes. Now you have to dig for it, trust your source, and/or be an expert in several fields to acquire the same data in the same format/interface.

I'll tell you what it means. They suck at predicting these storms, because they don't take into account the weakening of our protective magnetic field. They have only issued one G4 watch in 20 years, but we have had 4 actual G4 storms. Two just this year.

The smart ones like you and me know that food comes from a grocery store and that nobody who knows what they are talking about has ever said a CME could take out the power grid.
