First off using that I will still be carrying a bunch of damn alligator clips. What you talking about Willis? Lol I will stick to my proven methods. Why buy a tool that needs batteries and 5-6 alligator clips when I can do just as much with one or two clips by themselves….That tool is for the new kids that can not think!!!
Forgetting some clips isn’t as bad as the hvac tech who left his entire fluke field piece at my place. I had to call the company to let them know where it was 😅
I’ve always wanted a tool like this! To think, all this time I’ve been going back and forth to the thermostat for everything. With all the time I could save with this, it could pay for itself in once call!
Okay the last statement about not leaving a jumper behind was the only selling point they needed 😂 been there. Done that. Probably will do it again until I buy this.
Nobody understands the pain of having to get off the roof and into the house just to see if the condenser fan will turn off, just to realize that it was just the delay that was causing the unit not to start…
Now when you forget its bypassed, you also leave behind a slightly more expensive widget. Personally dont see this reminding me any more than my jumpers already do
I've got two stripped jumpers crimped in a female spade, can put the spade onto the transformer if there's not a good R to clamp, but more importantly I can attach it to a 3A lil popper and find out which coil is shorted without a box of fuses,
@@DJV94022 yeah I was recently describing it to my new apprentice as a “big fancy switch”. All it does is connect wires to other wires through using an interface. You could accomplish the same thing with an on / off switch on the wall and flipping the switch when it’s too warm or cold in the house
You would be surprised how many times I had to go back behind junior techs who did this on units in a crawlspace. One was so bad the owner told us his wife's decorative candles started melting.
But, and hear me out, how do you know the system actually works then. Also, what, then, hypothetically, would stop you from accidentally, i dunno, running the a/c and heat at the same time?
The only thing that wouldn't work is the thermostat. If im turning on everything myself then it works. Nothing really happens if they both turn on at the same time it just doesn't cool or heat very well. Whats stopping that from happening? Experience

Then you get a short in the device and can’t work it now your back doing the same with alligator clips. If you lose them wel hey do what I do use them around your neck you never lose them. I have no idea why someone would need this but if you really wanted to be cute, use an old battery powered thermostat from an installation and wire it ip with some aligator clips. Should cost you like $2. Or you can be a man and use the jumpers on the bottom of your tool bag.

The tool is the definition of a bundle of alligator clips
Complete waste of money. One alligator clip does the same thing and doesn't take up any space. Is this a joke.
Sure, because that idiot tool takes up way less room in my bag...lol
Agreed. I see no reason for this. It’s too simple to just jump them out.

Thats what i was saying
Forgetting some clips isn’t as bad as the hvac tech who left his entire fluke field piece at my place. I had to call the company to let them know where it was 😅
Ive left tools at houses before. But if you leave clips on the furnace its never going to turn off. Imagine the heat just staying on past 90 degrees
@@WorldofHVAC ah yeah, I rewatched and realized the clips were ON the unit and figured that’d be a bigger issue lol
It's for finding shorts and always check the t stat too. Idk how many times techs didn't and it was the t stat
I saw this tool one time, it is very nice. ❤
You could make one of these out of a thermostat you have in your truck aswell
A modified 721 would do the trick
What about waiting for the delay ?
@@fernandoalvarado2813jump it
@@fernandoalvarado2813 you could program a thermostat to not have any delay.
I’m sure unless the max is one min.
That's slick.
i want one... so much specifically made jumper wires without the on off switches inline for each
I’ve always wanted a tool like this! To think, all this time I’ve been going back and forth to the thermostat for everything. With all the time I could save with this, it could pay for itself in once call!
They need to make one of these for appliance troubleshooting
I just use a piece of 24 gauge. Who needs alligator clips with some wire and a screw driver
Okay the last statement about not leaving a jumper behind was the only selling point they needed 😂 been there. Done that. Probably will do it again until I buy this.
🤣🤣
I have done that, but wont waste my money on this
I like it. Can save time especially trying to troubleshoot a hard problem
I want this so bad
Would be so nice for fuse pop diagnosis
All of these comments are correct.......but we are HVAC we love our toys.
Nobody understands the pain of having to get off the roof and into the house just to see if the condenser fan will turn off, just to realize that it was just the delay that was causing the unit not to start…
I just used three alligator clips and wire nut them together
I mean it's not smaller than a few jumpers but still pretty nice
Cracking me up
Updated version of the zebra stat
Now when you forget its bypassed, you also leave behind a slightly more expensive widget. Personally dont see this reminding me any more than my jumpers already do
🤘🤘💯💯
only ever needed one aligator clip. red to white for heat. Red to yellow for cooling. Thats it
Neat. Sort of like the Zebra Stat analyzer, but smaller with less functions.
I just looked that up. Its also a 1/3 the price
Wait... What? Didn't we just see a bundle of alligator clips and wires? 😅
Yea I have been wanting one but can't find them anywhere
Negative. I'll stick to my jumper wire.
Or u Can use a wire nut 😂😂😂

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 i did that and my coworker mind was blown..i told him listen my friend a thermostat is just a timer and it really is

I need that tool bro
Has a built in low volt fuse reset too rt?? So ur not burnin em out lookin for short
Who forgets jumpers on a thermostat and how 😂
You've never forgotten to take a jumper off of a control board while testing heat?

I’ve gone to call backs on a new guy who did that lol
@@WorldofHVAC just received my jumper king in the mail
I'll stick to a random peice of tstat wire. usually have one in my pocket...
That thing and its packaging is way bigger and more useless than a few jumper wires
When accidentally leaved the call for heat jumped and when you get back it's hotter than satan's asshole in there
Clip your keys to the jumper.
Yyyooolllll!
Damn now I’m minus $70
I have noticed some magnets won't properly stick to.the screwed for some stupid reason it would drop or disconnect
Yup carrier or rheem don’t have magnetic screws. But Bosch does!
Now you don't have to carry alligator clips... You have to carry around this plastic brick made for lab training students.
LoL "dont need to carry around a bundle of alligator clips." Nah just carry around that big box of garbage.
Just wire nut 4 or 5 alligator clips together
Agreed, a must have tool.

Funny considering its most useful on package units
Would work on a 20 ton Carrier RTU if you didn't want to hook up your laptop with field assistant. Lol
