- As foreigners living in Asia it is always an unknown what kind of welcome you might expect. Since deciding to stay here in the Philippines we have been shocked by the Filipino welcoming pride and genuine hospitality that we have encountered.
In today's video we explore Surigao's beautiful natural coastline and meet some very interesting people. We even stumble upon an inspirational Filipina that shows us what it means to follow your dreams and don't procrastinate. We were blown away by this.
This is the start of our story. Our 'New Normal' and new future. We are moving to the Philippines for a new start and this is day 71 of our Philippines Daily Vlog which will document what life is like for a British Family trying to work out life in this very exotic and beautiful country.
Our names are Jmayel, Sacha & Story. We traveled to Siargao island with Jmayel's mum & Story's grandma just before the Global pandemic that sent the whole planet into quarantine. We got stranded for over 3 months and fell in love with island life, now we want to make that life more permanent.

Watching Story brings so much smile and joy in my heart and I wish every parent would be inspired by you guys in enriching the lives of their kids to what is really more valuable.

These look to be an eye-opener for us that there is so much that the Philippines has to offer, considering there are 7400 islands! All my life, while in the Philippines, I only have been to the Tagaytay Batangas area and Cavite. I have never been too other places down south. I just forgot the name of the gov't agency who did the study. You can just google it because there were news articles written about it. Just so you'll get updated more! I thought it was actually cool!😊
