Makes the watcher to stay and want more,, You chicken looks delicious and i liked the video best how you split and butterfly.. Hope to see a video on Fish , such as Salmon and tuna etc.... I am extremely new to pellet grilling and i have Pitt Bull 700fb on order , which sadly i will not receive until Dec. 28th,2020... But i was wondering do you clean out your grill often between your fixins..? if so maybe also another video on the cleaning ..Thanks keep up the good cooking...
Hey Al, thank you so much for all of your feedback on all of my videos, it's noted and much appreciated. Your eagerness and questions has inspired me to create a bunch of videos that you've requested (fish and other seafood, cleaning and care). Please stay tuned and I hope to conjure up some more related videos soon! Unfortunately with the constant rain that's happening where I live, it detours me from making more videos as often. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later! Thanks again! -V
Now... that looks amazing and I'm Sure its delicious...taste like corn on the cob...lol😭 thats too funny...getting my smoke gill really and hoping it comes out like yours with out corn on the cob...lol thx.
Lol I'm almost wanting to take this video down because it was one of my first, I have a much better chicken video now with lots of practice. I definitely suggest you check it out! Thanks for the support!
It’s 5 a.m. here in the US. And I’m watching you cook these chickens. Your making me so hungry. But that’s not why I’m writing. I watched your first video on the pit so, I really wanted to wait until you cooked on it to get your opinion. Are you happy with how it cooks, the overall cost of everything to get started. Also noticed you added the Thermo Pro dual thermometers. Not sure what you paid but they are $25 here. So, really just wanted to hear what you think about it.
Thanks for your support! Funny enough, I was actually going to do a 6 month review video very soon. A quick review on it though, overall I enjoy it and I don't regret my purchase. I'm very satisfied with the size and how much stuff I can fit in it at once. I feel if I went bigger, I wouldn't use most of the grill space. Maybe if I had a bigger family, but I definitely wouldn't go smaller. I use Pit Boss pellets exclusively and the cost for them is good. You only really burn through them quickly when you're cooking at higher heat. You also don't need to sift your pellets like I thought I had to do in my first video. A couple things I would change... to be honest, I don't like the searing option on this grill, it only sears when you are over top of the burn pot, so if you have more than two steaks or burgers on the grill that you want to sear, you can only do two at a time. I also don't like how you have to take the grates off to access the sear plate to move it over. Other series of the Pit Boss come with the rod that moves the sear plate without removing the grates, not sure why they didn't do it with this one. These are two reasons why I don't like the searing option and don't really sear much when using this grill. As for the ThermoPro dual thermometer, I bought off Amazon for the same price. All in all I am very happy with my Pit Boss 700FB, especially for the price. In the future when I have more room, I want to get a vertical one too some day. I hope this mini review helps you! Happy grillin'!
After further research, I’ve found that nobody carries the 700 FB. It’s a special order item. So, I. order for me to get one before thanksgiving, I have to buy the more expensive model. The 820 ds. $500 was more than I was looking to spend. It does have the slide for the sere plate, it comes with 2 meat probes, a cooking/serving tray and a smoke stack. I will keep you posted.
I have a Pit Boss also and want to try this, what flavor pellets did you use?
Hey Mel! Try the chicken in my other video, it turns out way better czcams.com/video/TTgRPa2K0FE/video.html
I recommend a competition blend or hickory for the chicken. Good luck!!
Split your chicken down the spine and take that back bone out and it well lay flat side down breast side up and u will get a more even and better cook.
Awesome vid!
Thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated! I've seen videos of others doing that and I think I might give it a try. I have cooked a lot more chicken since this video and have had some great results. Still a learning curve, but I'm always up for trying anything.
Great video. How long did you smoke the chickens?
Thanks for the feedback! 250 for 1 hour and then turn up to 350 until chickens are at 170
@@grillinwithv4028 Thanks for responding. Where did you get your pellet storage containers from?
Was it more than 2 hours?
@@RichieColemanSr no it shouldn't be, depends on the size of the bird
@@grillinwithv4028 Thank you
Did you brine them first?
No I did not. I highly recommend watching my other whole chicken video. Much better skin and better process!
Next time start with the prep please
Thanks for the tip! Since this was one of my very first videos, they came a long way. Check out my channel for more recent videos on how I do chicken 😊 Happy Grillin'!
What? Chicken tastes like corn? 😂
