    Helpful video guys.
    One bit to add, pressure test everything and the connections before coiling up hose on the reel so it’s easier to see if the inner connection or anything else leaks.
    Also since I’m sure other will notice, if you swapped your wrenches for the handle install that fancy sonic ratcheting wrench would have made short work of the nut for the handle. I’m not sure why the plastic handle has so much side to side slop in it, but some plastic washers or 3D printing and it comes together awesome (I chose the latter with some black filament). Can provide the source file or print for a small fee if anyone is interested.
    Keep up the great work!

      LOL, you read my mind. I was going to post the same about leak checks before coiling and the ratchet wrench.

    I’d like one for 5/8” flexzilla garden hose. Do they make one for that? Alls I can find is high pressure.

    My hose has no swivel at either end. Can I still mount it on the reel? I realize that I will have to turn the hose when I screw it in but will it then be a problem to operate the reel?

    any reason when buying these kits why there is a quick disconnect on both side of the hoses? A Included adapter would be nice or take it off on the swivel side.

      Because most hoses are used to connect a pressure washer (with a QD adapter intalled) to a short gun or wand (with a QD adapter).

    Can I install my Uberflex hose with m22 on a hose reel??

      There is a way to do that but it's a little complex. I would Reach out to support@obsessedgarage.com on that one.

    Is it normal for the reel to move back and forth as if it has play. When reeling the hose the Cox reel moves back and forth more so on the side with the handle.

    • @ObsessedGarageShorts
      @ObsessedGarageShorts  Před 10 měsíci

      Its normal for there to be a little play but if you thing yours is more then normal I would send a video to out instagram page and they can tell yours is okay.

    I have the hose with a quick connect on both sides. It’s on really tight. Is it safe to unscrew it, so I can use it for the inside of the reel?

    • @ObsessedGarageShorts
      @ObsessedGarageShorts  Před rokem +1

      Yes, I would recommend taking one of the couplers off. It's going to be very tight so you might even want to watch our video we did about "terminating a high pressure hose"

    • @PaulRosasSF

      I have been trying to get the coupler off for a while now I finally gave up. It's too tight.

    Hey I purchase cox reel but is 1/2 and my hose is 1/4 what I’m supposed to do for adapter it ?

  • @cuts2thebone

    I don’t how you use a 24mm, mine was not a 24mm but a 22mm. I bough a 24 mm and it was definitely too big.

    • @tonybaroneee
      @tonybaroneee Před rokem

      Might be a difference in the kobrajet hoses vs the newer OG ones? My kobrajet hose is 22mm as well.

    I just got my Og spec v1.0 hose today ultimate kit 100’ and there is “NO END” that is swiveling. I took off my kobrajet grey non marking and it swivels instantly. Super disappointed how can I reach out for help I tried looking on the site

    Was this a 100 foot or 75 foot hose?

  • @jessefig5281
    @jessefig5281 Před rokem

    This is done before mounting it to the wall or after? My kit did not come with mounting screws.

    • @ObsessedGarageShorts
      @ObsessedGarageShorts  Před rokem

      I would recommend putting the hose on after wall mounting or you'll just be fighting to hold the entire thing up. Also, the reel itself dose not come with mounting screws. If you got the stainless mount it will come with screws.

    • @bobbybarnes1652
      @bobbybarnes1652 Před 3 měsíci

      No idea why people think they would or should including mounting hardware. They don't come with mounting hardware because they have no idea where or how you are going to mount it. If they had to include hardware for every possible mounting location or situatoion, we'd have to pay $50 more, then only use 10% of the included mounting hardware.

      That is the Cox Reel; you can find a link to it in the Description. It can hold up to 100' of hose.

      Wrong! Everyone starts somewhere sir, don’t degrade people’s intelligence over something so silly. I had a new guy at my primary job come on with no knowledge of mechanics, now he is one of my go to guys for maintenance and basic tasks.
