well in my experience belgains are good at following rule but not strict i have been living in belgium for 1 year and many times even native belgians broke the red light and crossed the walking path. On the other hand, try to make friends with Intenational because Belgians especially flemish are quite notorious for not be friends with internationals. Even, if you know Dutch it would be harder for you because most of them make friends at school or Early years of Univesity. Not be hopeless, If you spend 5 to 7 years and speak Dutch without accent, then you will penetrate into their social circle.

Really interesting, it makes you see daily things with another view. I mean we always complain about the public transportations, maybe we are a bit spoiled ?
