Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere in Europe so I could travel more easily. Definitely want to visit Belgium one day. But damn, no music?! I don’t know about that….

I can assure you there's music on Surinamese party's and BBQ's in the Netherlands, often even live music. We had our first real birthday party last weekend, since covid started spoiling all the fun and my ears are still ringing.

Belgian people and being open: they are often slow to open up, it takes time before Belgians let you in their circle but they're quite hearty and generous once they have accepted you in their circle. And being friendly and spontaneous to strangers is something you will see far less in cities. In smaller towns or communities it's easier and more accepted to be friendly and spontaneous to people you pass by. This can happen in bigger cities too, but it mostly happens with people and places where you pass often and they have started to recognize and accept you as a regular passerby. Again... a lot of it has to do with Belgians being slow to open up, they need time to accept you and let you in their circle(s) but can be very warm, hearty and open once they let you in.

It is April 9th today. Are you happy? I have not seen you on CZcams. I have a different name on Instagram. I know life can be challenging especially in a country where the language is not your first. I hope you have a job and everything you want.

whats the steel for in the walls of Jamaican houses? Here we don't have it cause our houses don't need it. Just like the iron grills in front of windows, very old houses here in Belgium still have them but it's not necessary anymore. I guess you have them for safety reasons, but Belgium is a very safe country so for that reason you don't need them. No need to fear earthquakes either. I believe Belgium is situated right in the middle of a tectonic plate so we never have earthquakes.

I think the steel is for a stable foundation against earthquakes and hurricanes so it is very much needed and the grills infront of windows is for safety. But I see in Belgium such things is not needed.
