    Question for the front runner.
How are you going to make affordable housing affordable if you decide to jack property taxes on property owners?
How are thousands of Torontonians going to be able to afford their currently reasonable rents when you:
Force the owners to sell/raise rents because of exorbitant property tax increases
    And/Or
Help people currently paying those rates deal with the 10-30-50% rate increase?
Many of us don't make $100,000(net) a year.
If one's rent goes from $1500 to $2300 a month, many will be on the streets.
    Literally.

Lol Toronto has the lowest property taxes in Ontario rivalling some rural areas in other provinces. It is long overdue the rate is the first thing to increase to cover the Budget hole if the province and Feds won’t foot the bill. I think at worst Olivia will raise property taxes to the GTA average which means paying rates similar to Whitby and Ajax.

Will anyone ask Olivia Chow about the incident when she and her spouse, Jack Layton, lived in subsidized housing when they were both Toronto city councillors? They did eventually get caught but feigned innocence and didn't realize it. Who believes that.

Matlow got put in his place for his history of not supporting a subway in Scarborough by Mitzie. And Bailou was like people are not blind you showed up to a Scarborough Subway townhall and confronted city staff and Mayor Tory about the subway when you don’t even live in Scarborough.

Every year increasing property tax and all basic needs pricing are increasing too but some one who works basic salary for long time in one place they are salary is not increasing. Oh housing prices are increasing so bank of Canada are increasing there are interest rates, really as citizens of Canada I didn’t know the difference. I think we all need work extra jobs to pay taxes and interest rates

@@fronk3653 yeah not vote for him. He is recycling Tory and Rob Ford's headline campaign pledge to keep property tax rates below the rate of inflation. That is a recipe to under invest in core city services then make up revenue shortfalls by jacking ttc fares and green p parking fees, court fees, rec program fees and what not which hit middle and low income Torontonians the hardest. The rich have more disposable income so they can easily afford increasing user fees.

Right now, the best thing we can do against China's treasonous behaviour is not let Oliva Chow win. Freedom isn't attained by making ill-informed decisions but by making well informed decisions. Can't scream freedom and expect to attain it. Play your part in it.
