@@VaazkLShorts When being chased by a predator or threatened they'll loosen their pouch so their baby will fall out. It'll draw the attention of the predator bc It'll make lots of noise noise and wiggle around in a panic so the predator gets an easier meal and the parent has a better chance of escaping. They can just make another baby later if they want. Pretty sure other animals with pouches will do this too

**Biologist's OCD has been triggered by misinformation**
REAL I'm not a biologist but I love animal facts and there's a lot of misinformation, like calling animals the wrong thing (they're maned wolves not whatever they called them in this video, it was a hairless guinea pig not a baby hippo, and that one 'marbled fox' is a plushie and not real) and fake stories just bugged me. Plus there was a couple of repeats in this video, too, of the same meme.

3. That specific picture is not of a plushie, although there are a fair few marble fox plushies, and marbled foxes do in fact exist.

@@rosieaylett4360 Yes, but as a CZcamsr with a high follower count, he needs to be careful about spreading misinformation. Googling it I am realizing that that particular image of a marble fox is infact real, I heard the name and assumed it was the plushie because of that one image that circulated a year or two back of a plush claiming to be a living thing.
Didn't know that about the maned wolf, either! I haven't done a whole lot of research into them, all I know is that they aren't actually wolves (or foxes) and are their whole own thing, eat fruits, and their urine smells like a certain recreational drug.
Those were just a few examples of some of the misinformation in this video, though. It's not of the dangerous variety, but I think it's still something to keep in mind when watching his videos.

It is understandable about the plushie thing. I have also seen that same image of the realistic marble fox and, I regret to inform you, been fooled. So now I always double check marbled fox photos. Those facts about the maned wolf are quite interesting as well!

Apples don't have cores, it's a myth lol. You can also eat the seeds so long as you don't chew them or eat too many. I tested all this by eating a whole apple except the wooden stem. Of course, you can have more fun by keeping the seeds, then planting them, and seeing what you get since apples don't typically "come true" from seed. This means you could get just about any kind of apple or crabapple and it may be tasty or not, big or small, who knows. Only way to know is plant the seed and wait until it sets fruit.

Yeah, I also thought that many animals went extinct during the Ice Age, at least 10 thousand years ago. Than I find out things like the quagga went extinct in 1883, the dodo did in the 17th century, and so on. Like, how, and why? Than I realize that probably our kids and grandkids generation have to experience the same with tigers, orangutans, and other currently highly endangered animals.
The bored passenger creature is such a cool concept. I always remember imagining some guy darting through the passing scenery and dodging cars, sliding along guard rails and what not. Sometimes this thing would be fighting other shadow opponents and it would lapse me a trance until i either snapped out of it or fell asleep.
Its cool to think that this creature could be an entity that we all can "see" but only when were going that fast while also feeling bored. Cool concept for a cryptid, i like it.
