- Serge & Christine Ghisoland performing "A la Folie Ou Pas Du Tout" ("Madly Or Not At All"), the Belgian entry at the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest.
Just after Monaco had seemingly bored everyone with a generic French-language ballad sung by a cutesy male-female duo, here comes Belgium with... well, ANOTHER generic French-language ballad sung by a cutesy male-female duo (husband-and-wife Serge and Christine, to be more precise). And, really, that's the most interesting thing I can say about it... - Hudba
A lovely little song that I think deserved a little better than 2nd from last.
LOVELY song, melodic duet from Serge and Christine. Thanks.
Great voices
I like it
Quel bon souvenir. Je connais encore toutes les paroles par coeur. Si la traduction des commentaires anglais pose problème, je peux le faire! (traduire).
Christine de la chorale "Aube Nouvelle".
The chorus with those awful hairs called " The Nanas ". You can see next year too.
Did this song get the inspiration from Hoffenbach's
Effectivingly, we were in France (just before the disco wave that arrived soon after !) in a big fashion of couples singing their love in the most stupid, boring and kitsch way they could ! But damn fortune ! With Belgium following Monaco we are in overdose ! But Belgium was better than the principauty !
Is dat niet Willem Vermandere in zijn jonge jaren ?
@Demarchist I just checked out Belgian music channel and that was a bunch of crap. Nothing in the native tongue and all clone music. This song was way better than the few songs I attempted. But I guess it's all subjective. We all look for different things in art and so our judgments are different. Luckily there is enough diversity for everyone to find something they enjoy, lets hope that remains the case.
EUROVISION is about MELODY / CATCHY the boring trashy
"songs" are the Abysmal Heavy or loud noises like Lordi etc.
WELL DONE Serge and Chrstine keep it smooth and romantic.
They look like they're going to make out on stage O.O.
And you can say it. We , Belgians, (almost) always suck at the eurovision.
