Eurovision 1962 - Germany

Conny (or Cornelia) Froebess performing "Zwei Kleine Italiener" ("Two Little Italians"), the German entry at the 1962 Eurovision Song Contest.
One of the most widely-known songs from that year's contest, and not without reason since, along with the Finnish entry, this was quite possibly the cutest and catchiest song of the bunch (all together now: "O Tina, O Marina...") - helped by a lively performance from 19-year-old Conny, a popular teen singer and actress at the time (according to Wikipedia, she mostly starred in comedy films, where she often played a teenage girl "who craves for independence from her all-too-strict parents", which sounds to me like a German version of Sandra Dee or Annette Funicello).

This song....simply fantastic! Such a funny and happy song but not idiotic in the least bit. Overall an absolutely wonderful song.

Echt jetzt? Das hat mal Deutschland bein ESC vertreten? Ist ja witzig. Das Lied kennt man ja, aber ich hab's nie mit dem Songcontest in Verbindung gebracht. Wow, da sieht mal den krassen Unterschied zu heute.
