    Description from Specialized:
    The Fuse Comp 29 punches way above its weight class thanks to a light-yet-burly M4 aluminum chassis, frame geometry that lends the bike both playfulness and capability, and parts that withstand a serious flogging.
    ROWDY BY DESIGN
    The Fuse is loaded with smart touches. The wide-diameter down tube boosts stiffness. The low-slung top tube improves maneuverability. And while this Fuse’s 29x2.6 tires give it a precise, nimble feel, the M4 aluminum frame is also compatible with 27.5+ wheels and tires.
    PERFECTLY DIALED
    If you fail to nail the geometry, advanced materials and innovative designs still amount to nothing on the trail. Fuse gets it right. The long reach gives you even weight distribution. The slack head angle lends confidence on sketchy descents. The steep seat angle makes quick work of steep climbs.
    130-millimeters of plush suspension courtesy of a RockShox Recon RL fork.
    Highlights include powerful SRAM Level TRL disc brakes and a TranzX dropper post.
    SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain gives you single-ring simplicity and gearing to spare.

    My 2020 Fuse Comp 29’er came with a powerspline BB, two piston level brakes and an SX derailleur. The 2022 has some good upgrades.

    I got 2021 comp in red last spring for 1900 and right after I got it they bumped the price for 2021 to 2200. It's a nice ride, been doing black diamond trails on it! This thing climbs like a champ, it would be an amazing machine to get into mountain biking.

      You bought yours at the right time. I just ordered mine direct from Specialized for $2300. Glad to hear it climbs well. I’m looking forward to it.

    I think if you remove the Dork Disc and all the plastic bits also and that heavy pedal you can make this under 30 pounds.

  • @thornmatthew8395

    I’m thinking about dropping to a 27.5 tire on mine. It seems the adjustable geometry will allow for it.

    I this bike worth the extra money over the Rockhopper Elite? Right now at the current prices it would be roughly $1,150 for the Elite and $2,200 for the Fuse. The Elite is not discounted at all and the Fuse is "on sale" with a full "retail" price of $3,000. Is the Fuse a legit $3K bike?

    • @sadcat520
      @sadcat520 Před 11 měsíci

      You probably have your answer by now but the Fuse is still $2200 2 months later. The $3000 is almost definitely inflated to make '''sales''' look good. I also read that it used to be $1900 before the price increase
