I have 18 Kew Gardens 50ps, I bought 4 direct from the mint and apart from one I bought in 2003 the others back in 2009 /10 but I have checked them all against the sets from the mint and I see no difference but I will have to check them again just to make sure, just as a pint of interest being a collector does not make you an expert.
A good video all the same keep up the good work, it keeps us on our tows.

The detail in the eye on the portrait is another piece I was told to look for
Ive found 2 in hunts ,one of which was a bunc version with the lines which made me doubt it at first

A genuine Kew Gardens also usually has a slightly worn edge at the bottom left as you look at the obverse. I only own 2 Kews, a 2019 re-strike, and an original 2009 that was found in a hunt.

I was fortunate enough 3 years ago to buy 5 Kews as an investment. Paid 1k. After watching your review of a 1968 coin collectors magazine I'm convinced it's bullion rather than circulating coins.
You're right. I don't think any 50p's are going to go up in price. 👍

Hi may I ask why you don't sell your coins that you already do have?
Interesting that for a few years the coin was priced less than many other 50p coins at 3 pounds.
One reporter wrote an article and overnight the price went to silly levels.
Today and no doubt in the future the price will fall and with inflation may be quite affordable in the long term.
My advice to those holding these is to sell for what you can get before they become just difficult but not overly expensive to coin collectors.
If you look at those who look through bank rolls you see this is one coin that has been removed from circulation effectively.
There are many times more coins in existence than genuine collectors.
I have two copies as I got the year set and silver set at the time.
Genuine collectors will be getting the 2024 year set and leave missed coins until sanity returns.

Hey i have this coin it looks just as your genuine one does - my only issue is it feels slightly different in comparison to other 50 ps is this normal like it doesnt feel the right metal i have weighed its the correct weight dont want to be collecting a fake one

I got a genuine Kew in my change years ago. I now have a substantial collection and My Kew "Copy" coin only says "copy" without RIB under the Queens head. I use it as a gap filler because I try for 2 of each coin so I can display the Monarchs Head!
PS. I thought RIB stood for, "Rigid Inflatable Boat"!
