I think you don‘t know how much your videos mean to me!! The joy, excitement, your pondering thoughts, it‘s like I‘m all there with you. Thank you SO much for sharing your time with us. I love your 7“ vinyl, the avatars on the front correspond to the backside with ABBA in mo-cap suits (-> the „making of“), and I agree about the fans: they were all so well behaved, and I don‘t think ABBA and especially Agnetha & Frida ever enjoyed this as much as this time around! Cheers my friend!!

Benny mentioned in an interview last winter that they had two more songs that he needs to work more on in the studio. Hopefully they will see the light of day and we get to hear them, this year or whenever they are ready. And hopefully it's not their last.

This is for sure: ABBA put in all those dollars and all those hours in making these wonderful experiences, not for commercial/economical earnings for themselves, but for all their fans.
All love to you, Agnetha, Benny, Björn and Anni-Frid. Thank you so much for the music and for the experience.
And, not the least for all the real, genuine feelings that you miraculously produce/get out in all of us. Feelings of joy/delight/hope and belief in the future.
But also, just as important, feelings of grief, feelings of sorrow. Bring it on/bring it out in us. In order to heal. You help us healing, dear ABBA.
    Best regards, Lena.

Just read an article from "The Guardian" featuring reviews from Abba fans that watched the Voyage shows.Glad to see so much enthusiasm.People are ecstatic and seemed they tented to even confuse unreal for being real. Many said they left the stadium thinking "is this possible"?! Others confessed they watched this again for more than 2 times, others said they cried and couldn't believe it.It was a request from Guardian's journalist to Abba fans to e-mail their opinion about the show and asked permission to be publicly reported.Don't know if the platform is still open for more fans reviews. But I do know that journalist Alex Petridis from GUARDIAN is a big fan giving it 5 solid stars!.Also another UK journalist P.Paphides is a huge Abba fan since his childhood and gets emotional when it comes to Abba.He 's also been featured in an Abba documentary criticising some of his older UK colleagues for being rude to Abba in the '70s.

I hold out hope for a tenth album. I get why Benny would be pissed with the questions and the demands after all the work he did… and the pressure he’d be under is understandable because as amazing as the others are, he’d have to do the most work… but I do hope Frida and Agnetha’s enthusiasm to record more music is contagious:)

I just want to echo what Bobby's Brother wrote. Your videos mean a lot to me, and I am grateful for this connection with a fellow ABBA fan. Yours and Bobby’s Brother’s posts help me not feel so isolated in my world of obsession and enthusiasm for the greatest band to ever exist. I love them so much. I can relate to your emotional reaction to their music. I still cry every time I play, I Still Have Faith in You. I am stuck in the US with little prospect of ever getting to London. Here in the States, ABBA is not as big as they are in every other place on the planet. It’s amazing how many people I talk to don’t even know that ABBA has a new album and concert. I explain to them about the avatars and everything I know about the concert, and their eyes glaze over. I want to hit them.
Thank you, Diego, for your shares, your insight, and especially for the love you exude, not just for ABBA, but for the love you share with us.

That 7" is so cool. You do wonderful work on those. I agree that the ladies were very revealing in their thoughts. Agnetha said she loves working in the studio and Frida has always been open to recording more songs and wasn't too happy when Bjorn said that they were done in her interview with Zoe Ball early in the promotion of the album. He went back on that statement by saying "Never say never, but I think it's over." I really think Benny is the one who needs to be turned. I feel that he was the one who put the most time and effort into the album while Bjorn took care of the early interviews and promos and overseeing everything (I still don't know why he didn't play on the album. or listed as playing) I also believe that Benny is probably the busiest of the four with solo albums and BAO. Why would Universal be so rude as to demand another album? Don't piss off B&B! Universal completely botched the Voyage promo and album shipments. They had no clue the love that us ABBA fans have towards these four. In closing, The advantage of another album would be easier to sell to the group because all the hard work is done. The music and ABBAtars will reign forever and all they have to do is record. Limited promotion which would focus solely on the music. Bjorn can continue doing all the wonderful videos on Tiktok. I think once the excitement dies down, they will meet again and discuss things amongst themselves and give us all an answer. Thank you again for all your posts this past year and look forward to our continued journeys with ABBA.

Jack White from the white stripes has a booth thing that somehow makes 7''inch singles
it's probably about a million quid or something
but one of them would come in quite handy to turn all those unreleased ABBA tracks into
    physical vinyl singles

I didn't know that UK fans went mad when the band visited London in Nov.'82.I knew though that there was a lil hysteria in Germany when the did some tv appearences there after leaving London.German music press was really very informative on that visit with big beautiful pictures huge articles and photo covers etc.Fans even rushed on studio stage at the end of "UNDERATTACK" where Agnetha got mobbed and "dissapeared from sight" while a boy even grabbed Frida and kissed her in the mouth lol!.But UK music press(Smash hits/Record Mirror etc)were rather reduced and possibly prejudiced....for once more. Just some ""itsy bitsy" back and white photos and possibly one-two photos of Agnetha arriving in the studio waving to a couple of fans. Can't remember anything else.So i'm impressed and very happy to learn from you that there was a real fan buzz on Abba even in 1982 while visiting London for that very last time as an active group.

I seem to remember in the Offical ABBA Magazine that the “lucky fans got an autograph from Frida, the even luckier got an autograph from the other three as they darted to their limos.”
I think Frida calmed the crowd down, and said she would happily autograph the memorabilia as long as they stopped pushing. Agnetha sat in car waiting.

Re the 2 unfinished songs, I remember Bennys comment that they’ll stay unfinished. Give them time, hopefully after a rest & seeing the love people have for them, we will get something more. Benny is definitely the one to convince. He also has other projects so after the last 5 years of work with Abba he wants a rest. Agreed with all your comments Diego, just a question, am interested in your 12inch copy of Keep An Eye On Dan & 7 inch single of No Doubt About It, does it work out very expensive only having 1 copy made up? Not aware of the same thing in Australia, if anybody knows. Thanks again for your great content Diego.

Think the CBS staff were overworked when ABBA released a record. Do you remember in 1987 when Ferry Aid was released? In the news report on Good Morning Britain the reporter said something like: “the CBS plant have been working hard pressing the charity song, the last time they worked this hard was when ABBA released records.”
Dunno how accurate this was as Michael Jackson was on Epic records as well as ABBA, unless his vinyl got pressed out with the UK.

Nice vid but I hope they do not do a statement because it might give them the inner obligation to stick to their statement. They are free to do whatever they want to. And Björn and Benny had most the work done and the ladies could now enjoy the results.. they experienced how well it can work out for them just doing the record and stay out of everything else. And how well it turned out. So I can image that Frida a Agnetha are completely open for recording more stuff and especially Benny is a bit tired… let’s see. Fingers crossed.

  • @chelseacharger
    @chelseacharger Před 2 lety +2

They loved their time in the studio recording the new songs but I don't think they like to put themselves through all the promotion aspect of it all. So do one but not the other. Let any new music sell on its own merits. ABBA are at such a level that whatever they do is a news story anyway. The rest could be left to an advertising campaign that they wouldn't need to personally be involved in. The ladies do seem keen but Benny may want to concentrate on BAO again.

Thing is, at first I was a bit miffed with Benny saying what he did, but Agnetha and Frida did the album as long as they didn't do any promotion, so it has been a labour of love from Benny & Bjorn , 5 years of work ! If a new album or material, maybe it needs to be levelled out a bit.
