I notice that Nothics are mostly used to spill the beans on a character background that the player hasn't been dropping hints about. They haven't been playing the background so it's clear the DM has to intervene to make sure that part of the plot gets exposed before events totally kill other characters without explanation.
I love that they keep the laughs in for Illian and Biarn (i'm sure I'm spelling that wrong, but oh well
My headcannon as a DM about to have his party enter ythryn, is the arcane blight is an infection/disease of the weave from the far realm due to ythryns meddling - so both the lore on the nothics is true, they’re an infection from the far realm, that exposes wizards to arcane blight - but you have to be an arcane caster to catch it (bard, wizard, maybe warlock and sorcerer too - as they have to touch the weave around them to use it)
Really like the new editing ya'll are doing during the monster description.
Absolutely love Nothics! Had them as the minions of the big bad in my first campaign--they were a ton of fun to run as a solo mini boss in early levels, then as a horde later on. Super cool enemies, and freaky to boot.
A great Christmas gift, Thank you!
My theory about their origin is that whenever someone peers too deeply into the far realm or studies it trying to understand it's secrets and/or true nature they turn into a Nothic.
A true Christmas blessing!
Merry Christmas!
Merry X-Mas and thank you for the gift of your podcast. Okay back to episode 74 because I am watching them all in order.
“Creepy Mike Wazowski” threw me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ran into a Nothic last night. We actually convinced it to give us intel on the bandit hideout we were about to attack in exchange for dragging the dead bandits to it's lair for Manwhich purposes. Better them than us.
Merry Christmas boys 👍🏻
Why did the nothic have to close its school?
Have y’all done an episode on Brigganocks yet? I feel like you’d love those little guys lmao. They kinda remind me of the kobolds from WoW ⛏️
Mysterious thingy.
These guys just need a Year of Monsters and get all this flirting out of the way!
If a nothic worked for a beholder do you think they would see eye to eye?
It's a Christmas miracle
Can you do an episode on holidays in dnd universe
