I had the same problem with a Freightliner Cascadia day cab with trailer lights and most of the time is the result of the pigtail getting wet.
I been a company driver for the same fucking company for 16 years. Don't apologize for standing your ground to the twit in the office. You did EXACTLY the right thing. We're not as easily replaced as they want you to think. If you had rolled over you wouldn't have gotten anywhere.
you guys in usa act like you are some tuf truckers....try this job in europe...small roads,curbs,climbs,, do your oil changes, breaks,tires by yourself,extra time, no complaining...trucking in usa seems like paradise..

Some trailers are wired for two light circuits. Others use a dual feed and tie the two cut its together. Do you have power to both pins in your plug? Test with s headlight as a load tester as test light testers don't draw enough to current to show up a bag connection.

I would wire my trailers so I could turn off the light that bugged me in the mirrors ...not the Markers and DOT lights. Today they have a jumper wire in the trailer socket wiring that allow power from both circuit so drivers can shut off the leaga lights like us old timers did.
Next time you get a driving job see if you can transfer into the office. 👍

I've been there with an abandonment, in 1990. So, the company states on DAC. My side of the story was clearer, more precise, and straight to the matter. The company was lying to their biggest account and telling them that all their trucks had teams operating them, and the company did the very best in coaxing us single drivers in breaking the laws. I refused and waited to be sent home and stayed there. Trucking is better these days than it was 30 years ago. AMEN!

I've just now came to this realization not too long ago. Not to mention most jobs you sign a paper saying this can be terminated anytime for any reason. Meaning it goes both ways

What position do u hold the clutch in to maintain it in gear while waiting for the light to go green do u have to have the clutch break applied the entire time or do u keep it a few inches off the floor?

This is old but 100% agree. He thinks he's the first person to ever stand up to anyone. I promise he didnt say 90% of what he said he did. Gonna be one of those idiots who drove for a couple years, get run out of the industry then tell everyone HE walked away because he wasnt like everyone else. He alone couldnt take all the BS. Single child syndrome at it's worst.

Hello, world! I've been with this company for 3 months now. They give me good mines and treat me well. However, I'm starting to miss my everyday hobbies such as: swimming, exercising, spending time with friends and family, and video games. I'm considering leaving trucking all together and going back to driving a school bus or pursue a driving job in mass transit. Is there anyone else who feels the same?
ive been driving otr for 6 months. ive found a small local truck job within my city that will take me asap. I put a post on craigslist looking for a local job. i got a reply. i miss going to the gym, knowing when i will shower, & having to worry about washing my clothes. i hated missing appointments & having to catch up on everything every time i came home. hopefully this local thing will be nice

Fucking company, who shall remain nameless, put an abandonment on my record because my grandfather passed away and I wanted to take a leave of absence. Not to mention, I had a co driver! So, the truck wasn't really abandoned. Does Werner hire people with abandonments, I got like 8 months experience?

Yelp it makes you wanna think about those kind of drivers. If a driver have a good record he or she can write their own ticket. Its those drivers that have a lot of accidents speeding tickets that's usually worried about sucking the owners or dispatchers dick. Why because they cant go no were else!

What the fuck is going on with all these negative comments? I work at knight transportation. The driver in thisbcase is right, if thebload is not due until a certain day, it iabthe drivers discresion on how to divide up his driving hours to get that load there on time(keeping in mind being on time is an hour late) but at the same time that means if the load is late and the driver had more than enough time to get there he is responsible if it is late!

imo: EVERY company has the same two problems - 1) truckers are not fairly compensated and 2) dispatchers sukkkk at dispatching because the company pushes them into making decisions that cost the driver time and/or money - now; how in the wide, wide world of trucking does the company make money if the driver doesn't make money ....
The FIRST thing a company MUST do is TRUCK. The second thing is provide customer service. The third thing is the driver to avoid the dispatcher intimidation and deceitful rhetoric used to make you do the wrong thing while trying to sell you are doing the right thing - it is like trying to institutionalize your thinking so that you become their pet "go to" driver .... sure.

exactly why I left this company after 2 years!!!! bullshit!! I had load due took 16 hrs break after 20 hrs getting loaded still got load there 8 hrs early still didn't matter..
