Great video Lewis, been looking into this board to upgrade from my LTC Nimbleback 681 that I've had for 2 years now. Really happy to see how much your channel has grown from last year congrats!
Iâve been thinking about buying the GMK67 kit for a while now, and this video really helps!
love this channel man
I love love your budget videos. Great job as usual!!!
thank uuu
Cool to see it reviewed here, but they have been some good videos with very similar builds with this kit. Have a look around for the other videos! Highly recommend
Build this recently, crazy how affordable this kit is
yea dud
Got this for ~$40 (the vendor included 5g of krytox 205g0), and been rocking this for almost 3 months now.
The kit itself is definitely a steal. Stock prelubed stabs aren't that great, but the ones on my friend's kit are pretty good, so it's a QNC thing (I'd highly recommend holee modding and lubing them). The PC plate is, as Lewis has mentioned, not the most flexible, but definitely usable in this price range. Honestly I'd prefer a steel or aluminum plate for a clackier sound profile, but compared to the 6+ months of using the Tester68, I'd say the board clacks much better.
Tbh at this price range this board is definitely one of the best kits available in terms of value. You get basically every essential features: South-facing, hotswappable PCB, with RGB; gastket mount, pretty decent stock foams (tho changing the foam would drastically reduce the reverb and plastic-y sound), and a knob. There are plenty of videos on youtube on how to prey this thing open, and once you get used to it, it's not that hard to disassemble (It's actually openable using only your hands, so that's that.) Overall, this is definitely a steal for me, and a banger keyboard for beginners.
@Giga Chad Shopee. I live in Vietnam, and so there are plenty of good vendors here to supply my needs (though some of the more popular switches are only available elsewhere, namely Gat Blue Bubblegums or Marshmallow). Still, great value imo, and I'd highly recommend checking them out
@@dankhoang whats the polling rate of this keyboard
What seller did you get it from that they gave you that?
Finally you make a video of that budget kit, itâs amazing!!!
yeee
Ive been waiting for this, ive always wanted you to make a review on the gmk67
its here
@@LewisToh it is
Nice video as usual!
Skyloong kits are $30-50 right now
Also guys don't sleep on royal kludge as a base to start your build. Silicon pour, milky yellows or akko cs purples plus some thick keycaps and you're set all under $100 easily
Agreed
Rk go boom
rk sucks, you get more out of a kit like this
Rk Is proprietary, i wouldnât recommend
Too much work in my opinion and not everyone has liquid silicone to pour in a keyboard lol. The GMK67 is way more beginner friendly since all the foam you need is already inside and opening it isnt as hard as it looks (you can do it with bare hands, no prying tools necessary)
FINALLY A VIDEO ON THE GMK67
I actually almost bought this keyboard before I got the Epomaker TH80. At the time, I didn't realize I wanted to keep the F keys but this keyboard you just reviewed would be fantastic to have otherwise. It sounds really good with the cream yellow switches!
Bro i just got the th80 to function as my main desktop keyboard and hoy shite this th80 and keychron v1 are the best stock keyboards i have ever touched in my life. I genuinely feel no desire to mod the keyboard and I love it just the way that it is.
@@skelpie i have it too imo the stabilizers are pretty mid and the lube is pretty inconsistent on the switches(some over lubed some under lubed)
@@suerp dang i got really lucky then cuz only my spacebar was a little ass and the lube was fairly consistent minus some of the function keys
@@skelpie Which switches did you get with the epomaker th80
Which switches did you get with the epomaker th80
the v3 cream series is honestly crazy, the cream blues r my current main switch and man they r snappy and clacky AF highly recc the cream series akko switches
The GMK67 has been my daily driver and I would say it's the best budget 65% right now. There's an easier way to open up the board without prying/scratching it. You just have to slowly lift the upper portion of the case from the inside out, and the snap ins should pop. Overall, would definitely recommend this board.
Yup I learned that the hard way after hurting my fingers the first time! XD it's kind of like pushing 'out' on the top wall? then the whole piece snaps up and off! I screwed in akko stabilizers and put haimu silent tactiles and it is NICE. oh and of course tape. It was 90$ Canadian, but not a bad price for my first and probably only keyboard :P
@@Emipie do you have a link for those aklo stabs?
Whats its polling rate
Can you tell about the polling rate? Is it 1000hz?
@@Marinhhoo i believe it's 1khz for wired, not sure about the 2.4g and bt so feel free to test. But I've used the 2.4g on gaming (dota2, borderlands, titanfall) and i didn't experience any noticeable delays. I don't game on bt but used it for my office works, functions as expected so far.
Watched this when it came out and I just did this build itâs amazin
I was hoping he would make a video on the Gmk67. Such a good board
I got this for my birthday recently. I took out the stock case foam and 2-layer taped pennies in the case instead. I did holee mod to the stabs and it sounds good đđ» I have stock Akko Silver switches and Akko MDA WOB Building Block keycaps on mine. Its really simple to build that tbh you dont need to pry it open to do anything if you donât want to, just syringe lube the stabs properly and youre good to go đđđ Happy with my purchase!
does GMK67 keyboardfeel heavy or does it feel cheap and light?
@@Moon-sf4hs It feels lighter than cheap keyboards with aluminum plates, so i put some pennies in it to make it feel heavier. The build quality is really good for what youre paying. It doesn't feel cheap. I recommend that you use decent quality keycaps with it because I think it carries the look and feel of its entirety. 10/10 budget build for sure.
I literally built a keyboard using this as the base with oil kings and a gengar themed keycap set, it looks and feels amazing IÂŽm getting better and better at building keyboards every time
ooof
Ngl the cream yellows make anything sound amazing. Idk what they did with them but that switch sounds amazing
FINALLY SOMEONE REVIEWS THIS BOARD. I have been seeing this board around for sometime but no one has reviewed it. You should also check out the v65 its like this board but with a metal case
I did one :ââ)
@Joelhzy Iâll check it out
I just used this board AND the cream yellows on my first ever keyboard build today and im really happy with it! i thought it was funny we used the same stuff T^T
thanks lewis, i got one! â€
Yooooo I just got this in the mail today! Crazy coincidence. Absolutely dope board. Iâm bouta throw some hand lubed KTT Kang Whites, and tape mod it :)
bussin
sounds very nice! may I ask what dynamic mic that is?
Push OUT (away from the PCB/Housing) when opening the case. Start with the back/top and once it's free from it's clips, push outward near the two clips on the bottom
YOOO YOU ACTUALLY DID THE VIDEO! THANKS!
my guy
perfect timing
The switches the keycaps bro so good
I also got this kit, basically when it came out. I saw the features and it was basically a steal (60 usd for my location). Totally recommend, and also the "pe foam" is more like a rubber dampener. The board is really quiet with it on. Would recommend removing it. Also using some screw in stabs would be good.
Built one myself a little but ago, definitely a banger. It ends up being closer to $50 in the US, but it's still a great board.
Yeah in norway it's closer to 120usd
Great video man. How is the latency on 2.4 or Bluetooth?
Hey man! I just watched some of your videos and 2 of them caught my eyes. Between Leobog Hi75 and GMK67, which one would you choose without any mod? Since in my place, the price for both of these keyboards are almost the same, which one would you go with? Currently Iâm rocking with tecware phantom TKL fyi.
Love the clack from the Cream Yellows. I used them in my recent GAS67 rebuild. The stabs are the same as the ones that come with the V65 and aren't that great. Definitely worse than the screw-ins provided with the GAS67 or plate mounted ones in an Akko 5075S.
Still, $50 for a wireless 65% with knob and south facing is great.
2:29 Dyanmic mic đ€
UHmm ACtuiataLly
"um akcually, it's "dynamic" not "dyanmic" this video is wrong because you didn't spell dynamic correctly, therefore this video is not a good source for reference" đ€

MY BAD
Just my baby today for just 60SGD WITH CIY Factory Lubed Linear RED Switches and white on black keycaps included!!!! Seller also holee and tape modded the stablisers before hand. SUPER DUPER HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE AND KEYBOARD. It sounds sooooooo much better and creamier compared to my rk61 (with factory lubed gateron yellow and corgi keycap set but without any mods done) lol. LOVING THISSSS â€â€â€â€
I bought this and threw gat oil kings with gmk caps. Sounds absolutely nuts
Iâm new to alll of this but this looks like a great place to start. Will this work with a Mac? đ
I bought this as my first custom EVER (i type 200 wpm btw) and bought some striker clones and milky yellows with it. Also picked up some durock smoky plate mounts, cause they apparently dont tick stock most of the time. Man i am HYPED
How did the build come out, asking because looking to buy new stabs and trying to find ones that work fs
@@unbarredrook1555 alr I gotchu, I can relate
Buy these:
Durock plate mounted smokies
Dielectric grease permatex
Bandaids for holee
So which one would you recommend ciy gas67 or this one
Is there any chance to find something like this with ISO layout support? What would be the cheapest ISO equivalent to this? A Keychron?
can you do the cidoo v65/finalkey v65 with aflion carrots?
did you also not moded the stabilizers?
yo i got a question did u lube the stabs or na cuz of thos are stock that is insane
Hello, j'adore la façon dont tu as accroché tes claviers derriÚre toi, tu pourrais faire une vidéo là dessus ? Merci ! ;)
love the content
thankkk
hi there man, i just finished building my gmk67 but i face with a problem, when i plug the 2.4 usb to my pc and try turning it off, the screen is stuck on the loading page and it just keep spining and spining and wont shutdown, but its fine when i use the cable that they provide, it just only the 2.4 wireless usb, idk why this happen and idk how to fix it
bro which one should i go for
gmk67 or akko 5075s via
Does it support n-key rollover? What is the polling rate? Thanks â€ïž
can u recommend me which one is better, this or ciy gas67? i could get gas67 for 165 rmb and gmk67 is 220 rmb
Is there any way to change the rgb on this board? Like hotkeys or a software?
Help me pls. GMK67 is good for gaming (FPS)? No latency when wired?
Hi! is the color a pure white or is more like dirty or yellowish.. thanks!
Where do you download the software for it ?
I'd love to change my rgb
Before I buy I need to know, does âsupport for screw in stabs meanâ yes I can use screw in stabs, or no I cannot use screw in stabs
the kb community and market is so different now compared to 2-3 years ago
Can you tell about the polling rate? Is it 1000hz?
eyyyyy, new kb kits
Lewis your amazing! I love ur videos and keyboard stuff! Can u please do another video where u review customer keyboards
Iâve built this one a few weeks ago, I reach a thocc build using milky yellow switches, I have the video in my channel, I have to say, all the kit has costed me 89$, with durock v2 and Akko Dracula keycaps. Nice video BTW Lewis, as aways love your videos đâ€ïž
sheesh
@lewis make sure to get CIY novice 68, please make a video on it!!
Lewis can you compare this keyboard to FL·ESPORTS Mk870?
Would a tape mod improve this build?
which is better gmk67 or gas67? or the lychee g66?
What is the polling rate of gmk67 while wired?
$35 for this? I would say that's crazy value for a kit.
that's crazy value for a kit if i do say so myself
Price already doubled
I got it for 45$ in the Philippines. Even with discount vouchers its the lowest price I could get it to at the time of purchase.
it's at around 50 dollars currently. Still bought it cause I love the sound I hear on videos out of the box with just modifying the stabs and lubed switches
â@@theartskee4291 did you buy?
Thatâs so good
Anything close to this with QMK support?
Wait what did I miss something? In shopee its 50-70ish usd
Love the budget keeb vids! The akko cream yellows sound great stock! Also the stabs sound pretty good for stock, damn!
I'm about to buy this now lol looks like it doesn't NEED modding either!
heck yes
This would be the best budget board if all screw in stabilizers would fit the plate!đĄ
@@xiserpenz6546u cant have a plate that supports both screw in and plate mounted, if u want screw in u can just cut the plate its pc so it shouldnt be that hard
Can this keyboard fit Durock V2 stabilizers?
Appreciate any help -- is there a way to press a F2/F1 key on this? Fn + 2? I can't find any info online
yes correcr fn+number
can someone send me links to the foam that are used in the build?
(pls).....
edit: Or is the foam already put in?
can i put a custom knob on it if i wanted to?
Help! How to turn off the backlight in wireless mode?
Will you ever mod your gmk67?
Can you use gateron milky yellow in this kit?
ATM (3 days after the video was released) is 64⏠(official price is about 91âŹ) ordering from europe... worth it? I'm not rally sure anymore, since via is not an option, sorry...
I want this but with qmk/via
Would you recommend swaping the stabilizers? If so, which ones should I use? I read somewhere that Durock V2 dont fit in this keyboard.
The stock ones are perfectly fine once relubed, but if you were going to then durock smokey plate mounts are a good choice for the board
Ive heard that tx stabs and durock just doesn't fit in the holes. Im really hoping on your answer because im scared to buy tx stabs and then cant use them since i already got gmk67
just dont buy tx stabs
Do they not have 104 key config?
Where to buy?
how does this board compare to the kbd67 lite r4 tho
bangers
The funny thing is the fact that CIY is a OEM keyboard vendor and ZUOYA ordered from CIY so technically it's still a CIY keyboard lmao
They just rebuild a disassembled keyboard and do a simple lube aka over price lotion
It sounds perfect for my Plan. I want to build a super clacky keeb
Hey does anyone know the stabiliser sizes, if so can someone let me know? Thanks
1:35 me all like, WHY TF ARE YOU FLEXING THE PLATE? THE SPACEBAR WIRE'S GONNA WARP!
Already $61 for me in the netherlands 30 mins after the videođđđ
always was 61 here :(
(dutchy here too)
Got a black one for 58 euro's a couple of weeks ago to NL.
Excellent solid board with any kind of switch.
How is the flex on the keyboard?
Do you have to wait for a sale or discount in order to get it for the $35? Or how did you get it for that price? Great video btw!
I got it for 23$ bei
There's a much easier toolless way to open the case, without switches or knob installed put your thumbs around where the 5 and 9 keys sit, and gently push up on the top case until it pops open.
Edited for grammar.
This board imo is the KBD67 Lite killer.
can u do a budget full size keyboard ;p
Does anyone know if thereâs software, if so, please share link
Keebtunes had a great video is how to easily open this thing, but if you don't mod it, you don't have to open it
nnoooooooo, i just ordered this hoping to make a video and bro posts this
my bad
@@LewisToh its fine i havent even posted in a year lol
U got Amazon link plsss?
You might have to do a plate less build for screw ins because most of the screw in stabs canât fit the pc plate
u can cut the plate
