America's #1 Nerdy Comedian
What do you get when you cross an Engineer with a stand-up comedian? You get Don McMillan. This former chip designer has been doing his one-of-a-kind, PowerPoint-Driven comedy show for audiences for over 20 years. In his show packed with graphs & charts, Don will show you the funny side of your world that has been sitting right in front of you - you are just too busy working to notice. Don graduated from Stanford University with a Masterâs Degree in Electrical Engineering. He then went to work at AT&T Bell Labs where he was part of the team that designed the worldâs first 32-bit microprocessor. He then moved to Silicon Valley where he helped launch the start-up company, VLSI Technology. Then after 15 years in the tech world, Don quit his job to become a stand-up comedian. That year he won $100,000 as the Comedy Grand Champion on âStar Searchâ. Donâs been seen on âThe Tonight Showâ, âHBOâ, and the âComedy Centralâ. These days, Don spends most of his time writing and performing customized corporate comedy shows for companies like Google, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Ford Motors, and Exxon/Mobil. Don has performed more than 800 corporate shows in the last 20 years and he was named the #1 Corporate Comedian by the CBS Business Network. - Komedie
I'm young enough to not have lived through any of the 1978 jokes, yet somehow I'm just old enough to still get them.
I am old enough to remember these things. And I have driven from Santa Clarita to the Comedy & Magic Club. Thanks for laughs.
Me too and right now my sides hurt from laughing at it all. Being a NYC person, never had the chance to do that drive. We have the Long Island Expressway, a/k/a The World's Biggest Parking Lot since the traffic volume does tend to slow folks down.
This is the best powerpoint driven comedy show I've ever seen.
Statistical humor! Love it! He is hilarious and so right!
There was at least one Starbuck in 1978. Liked to hang out with Apollo :)
Indeed!
6:52 When I was a kid, there were these things called "station wagons". A bunch of kids would just pile into the back of it. No seat belts, no airbags, absolutely nothing to prevent you from going flying in a auto accident. Good times :)
Technically funny! The best kind of funny :)
Not living in the USA, I might not understand the living conditions but I do appreciate the maths - the heat bit I do get, our ROADS MELT!
The McMillan Mirth Meister is back with another load o'laughs. Gravy!
"Asphalt angels"... good one!
Amazing content sir. Im 25, from another country with different language. but your content simply gets me all the time! cheers!
cellphone one was gold. đ€Łđ
Love your stuff, Don!
Well I grew up in Manitoba, which is located on the chart right close to the moon.
I agree. I did my undergrad in Winterpeg Manisnowba.
You forgot to calculate the 1.5 hours of security theatre and check-in at the airport how can you claim you're an engineer!
There aren't many people who make me laugh EVERY time I watch them, but YOU are one of them. Come to W.A. please I will be there to see you (if I haven't died LOL)
7:47 God, I miss the wii...
On the stamp joke, if the post office wants to encourage people, they should allow email addresses to be used to send snail mail. Convenience works. Details available upon request, mostly regarding secondary services the post office could milk off of the convenience for more profitability.
Why would anyone do that?
I took a wrong turn one day and ended up in Santa Clarita ... it was nice, rural ... but I've seen it now
top man

8:25 in '78 I was a kid, so yes, pee, usually in the bathroom.
in 2019 I crack a beer and pour a bourbon on my way to the bathroom ..where I usually pee đșđ„đœ
9:04 they had flatscreen monitors then?
You should come and do some shows in New Zealand. Theres plenty of old farts here đđđ
3.87 for gas sounds nice.
What are these comments? Are you telling me these aren't brand new!?
He just started his career and it sill blow, right? He will not age!
$3.87?!? Gas in the U.S. is always dirt cheap!! Here in Vancouver, B.C. we're paying the equivalent of $5.85 USD per US gallon for Regular.
Remember that this was in 2019. Gas isn't that cheap anymore here either
Here in Europe we pay up to 10bucks per gallon.
Having a 2.5litre V6 is really hanging it out there đ
Iâm stoked youâre a fellow SCV resident. Do you ever do sets down at JRâs?
4:40 Those California gas prices seem luxurious now... they went from $3.87 to over $5 in under 5 years. Ouch.
norton is the #1 VIRUS (remove the anti-) đ

I like that the source of the last chart is "completely made up by technically funny"
đ
7:58 Who still paid for Norton as recently as 2019?
$.35/gallon for gasoline in 1978 is not even close. I remember in Feb. 1982 seeing gasoline for less than $1/gallon for the first time in several years.
I think he listed an average price. It's different in every state now and it probably was that way then too.
Fourtyoneth anniversary?

What a futuristic 1978 model! What was that called again?
Mitzubitchi
Mitochondria in a rap? Did you share a bill with that cheeky Chris Turner from olâ England?
Wee Pii
so delicious to see,
41th OR 41st . . .
41th ?? I can see you're good with numbers and not letters
First class stanp at my grocery sitre 13.60/20=68Âą/stamp
41th? 41st
Then again, when I grew up it was 41rst. With an r. And without the r it was totally wrong. Or should I wite wong now?
41th
Real estate in the U.S. is worthless! Here in Vancouver, B.C. the average price for a 2000 sq ft house is $1,350,000 CAD ($970,000 USD).
Crazy! Does not stand in any relation to the amount of work gone into it, unless you pay in sheets of gold, beset with diamonds. Should have learned plumbing instead, I guess...
What do you mean ⊠men certainly date women because they are funny.
Look at those 2019 numbers and ask yourself whats different between then and now. 5:00
