FlexPVC - Testing Multiglues on ABS to ABS glue joint

Just a short little video showing the bond strength of various glues for bonding ABS to ABS. Three of the glues are for bonding ABS, PVC, CPVC and other plastics to each other. The forth one was superglue just to show the comparative strength.

We will have either the Oatey or Uniweld in stock. Our testing showed basically the same strength so we stock one or the other.

The nice thing about the Scigrip is that it will not only glue to PVC, ABS, CPVC, etc but also acrylics to these plastics. So a really great glue.
Note: I did not show it in the video but all surfaces were primed with standard primer before gluing and the glue was allowed to dry 24 hours with a 10 pound weight on top to hold them down firm.

Have you compared them to Epoxy? I need to glue plastic Lid shut ABS.
