As a Bulls fan… believe me, it’s normal to be worried about the Knicks health.. Thibbs is their coach and he’s unrelenting till the job is done. Need proof? Ask D. Rose, Jimmy Butler, Luol Deng, and Joakim Noah. Those four gentlemen each lead their team in minutes at different points during back to back years during D-rose MVP run through D Rose’s departure. They all each had season ending injuries or serious injuries during their playoff runs and many people around the league noticed it was due to attrition.
Listen, if I`m coach Thibs..I would take this approach.. No one thought the NYK would sweep this series. Okay, so why not take the L in game three. Rest all your starters, and see if a player or two can get into the rotation. I know the whole sports world will say coach T is foolish to just give a game away, but they will most likely lose this game anyway. Give this team, that coach T runs to the ground, a chance to catch their breath, discover their bench, and heal. Then come back, primed and ready in game four and five to get the job done.
